YES, I CAN PAY CASH FOR A PRESCRIPTION EVEN IF I HAVE ACHHHS OR ANY OTHER INSURANCE. IT IS MY LEGAL RIGHT TO CHOOSE HOW I PAY FOR MY PRESCRIPTIONS. Moved to Prescott 4 months ago I was hopeful this drugstore would work, but it has been a nightmare. A few employees are ok but most are incompetent, mean and sarcastic. My invalid wife needs 12 prescriptions and we are constantly faced with potentially critical health issues because of their inability to do their job! This is a one or two star company and after looking further that is also the company's nation wide average. Even some area grocery stores have better service and higher ratings. The latest we have been waiting a week for a new prescription she requires and two weeks for three to be refilled. The CEO needs fired and top management needs replaced. read more

I left my prescription in Phoenix and the pharmacy assistant got a renewal for me with a discount. The service at the Prescott Walgreens shows there are still people ready to go the extra mile. This Walgreens sucks with trying to get a store associate to help me in the photo department . After I scanned all the photos I brought and wanted to proceed to the next step of selecting the size of pictures , I was told by this older store associate or manager that I scanned them wrong . Avoid this location during the evening because the customer service is literally night and day. The last few years I have been here I went during the day and the customer service was awesome. Last night I came in about 8:30. I know 30 minutes before closing but I was only grabbing small amount of things for a quick overnight trip that I forgot to grab before leaving to Prescott. While I waited in line, I thought the customer was being frustrated with the cashier just for the sake of being rude. I was wrong...there was a reason. I came up and greeted the cashier. She responded with "We are closing" Yes I know you are closing and if I'm at the register, it means I'm checking out. When it was time to pay, I went to use my Walgreens wallet and it set this woman off. "NO YOU ALREADY TYPED IN YOUR NUMBER WHY DO I NEED TO SCAN THIS!!!" That was the tone and volume she used towards me. I actually stepped back a little in shock. "Ma'am, this is Walgreens pay. You can pay through this." I even pointed to the sign that suggested using Walgreens pay. "Pay with your card...we are closing" the cashier sighed. Whatever I had my wallet in my hand and I took out a card without a chip and swiped it. "UM WRONG WAY". Again the cashier barked something at me. I rolled my eyes and swiped the correct way and her register froze. No deal, just move to another register right? Wrong. The cashier blamed me for this. "Because YOU had to use digital coupons, now your holding up this line while we are about to close" Other customers were glaring at her, not me. We waited for about 5 minutes for a lead to come up. During that time, the cashier was mad at me and telling me to try to swipe or cancel the transaction because "we are closing and I can't believe this" The cashier had to ask for help 5 times from another co worker whos attitude matched hers. When the cashier told her she needed to use that register, that coworker said to her "Yeah I know you need to wait for me to log off" I see whats going on here. All of them are miserable. The poor guy who the other miserable cashier was checking out even told her "I hope you have a wonderful day and please make it better" A 3 minute check out process took 15 minutes. I made sure to use a chip card not to set this woman off. The cashier apparently works in the beauty department. I wouldn't even want her assistance with finding makeup matches if she is this short with something as simple as being on the register. Closing shift, you all need to do better. read more

They have a sign on the door that says heroes work here, but two of those heroes were walking around the store, during a global pandemic, without a face mask on. They were also allowing customers to enter the store and walk around without face masks. read more

I won't use Walgreen's pharmacy due to their corporate policies, but that is neither here nor there. What I like about this Walgreen's is that it's small, yet the variety of merchandise is surprisingly good. That makes it easy to find that one little item you need quickly without going up and down the endless, long aisles of a Target or Walmart or Staples or Fry's or... The only issue is that unless the item is on sale, you'll pay a little more here. The store is always clean and orderly. Prices are clearly marked. The staff isn't rude. 3 Stars overall The 4th star is for the extensive selection of airline and flask-size bottles of booze. Woo-hoo! read more

Well, I finally switched from this Walgreens to the Walgreens on Willow Creek. When I went to pick up my prescriptions at the Walgreens on Sheldon I find out they're closed on Saturday and I cannot pick up a much needed prescription. What kind of pharmacy is closed on Saturday, that's unacceptable. The Walgreens on Willow Creek nicely filled my prescription in a very timely manner. And I was really pleased. Then, when I got over to that Walgreens and saw the store, I was pleasantly surprised, the store is so much nicer, cleaner, and well-stocked than the one on Sheldon and the staff is nicer too. They need some new management there on Sheldon. I will keep my prescriptions at the Walgreens on Willow Creek. read more

She was very rude, unhappy and unhelpful. After getting home I confirmed with my paperwork that I did have the correct location, date and time. WORST store and pharmacy EVER!!! Zero stars would be more accurate review! Doctor called in Rx for my Mom. Went to pick it up 30 min later. Not ready. Was told it would be ready in 20 min. Came back in 30 min and the store was CLOSED!!!Yes, that's right. This was at 11 am on a Wednesday. Sign on door that gives no information on how long it will be closed. Many upset customers who probably need medication waiting outside. It's now 5 pm and it's still closed! Attempted to get Rx at another pharmacy but now insurance won't cover it because it's already in process at this stupid Walgreens. Yet we can't pick it up! And this has happened twice (that we know about) in the past couple of weeks where the store just randomly shuts its doors. Two managers who clearly don't have a clue how to manage! Never will return to this store after the way I was treated there yesterday. I was there to pick up party supplies, little "airplane " bottles for an upcoming event and the cashier informed me that he couldn't allow the purchase since my 20 year old daughter was with me. Okay, my daughter left and I went back in the store and loaded up a basket with the same items. After waiting in line behind 2 customers, I was met at the register with employees informing me that I still couldn't make the purchase! I told them I was shopping alone and they continued to embarrass me , as though I were a criminal! I'm a 57 year old woman and could have been informed as I was shopping, but this was in front of other shoppers at the register. Mortifying! CVS is still the only store for me. read more

Stopped going to CVS after they fired an employee for thwarting a robbery. Walgreens has been frustrating at times, and at other times has done well. Lately lines are long and had a called in antibiotic prescription that they said they didn't have in their system. When I called the doctor back, they said they left a prescription message. Walgreens said they would call when the RX was ready. Still no call 12 hours later at 10 PM. Maybe it's time to go back to CVS. If I could give this pharmacy a zero stars rating, I would. My doctor's office sent an electronic prescription to this pharmacy with some antibiotics I needed post-surgery. I called the pharmacy an hour or so after the prescription was sent to check on its status. I was told it would "be ready for pickup in 40 minutes or so." An hour after that call (so 20 minutes after the prescription should have been ready), I arrived at the pharmacy and was told "your prescription has been filled, but the pharmacist hasn't approved it yet - please give us another 5 minutes or so." So I sat. And waited. And watched the pharmacist and techs putter around behind the counter. I saw other customers come in and check on prescriptions, to be told the same thing I was told - your prescription has been filled, but not approved by the pharmacist. I finally saw the pharmacist move to the "approval area" and start throwing bags of drugs across the work space into a green box so the techs could ultimately distribute them. Bottom line, I finally got my (non-narcotic, pretty generic and standard antibiotics) two hours after I was told they'd be ready in 40 minutes or so. I guess "or so" runs up to 80 minutes. Everyone with whom I dealt made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by being a customer at their store. Customer service orientation? Bah. Not at this location. I won't be back, my family won't be back, and I'll recommend my friends and their friends and families don't go back. If I were you, I'd hike over to the CVS - they may not be any better, but they can't be much worse. read more

To be brief ... be sure to count the number of pills you get from this pharmacy. Save yourself the anxiety I went through when my prescription ran out and I tried to reorder. They said I should have had over a weeks worth of pills left... they suggested "well maybe you dropped them..." I would know if I spilled a weeks worth of pills. It was human error I understand that but to make me feel like it was somehow my fault. Really irks me. read more

I had an interesting experience this evening. I went into the store and was shopping the hair products aisle.. I looked around and an employee came towards me in a fast pace to say "can I help you to find something?' I told her 'no' at which time she looked at me surprised and turned and went in another direction. I continued to shop and noticed her coming toward me once again; however, when I turned around she turned around and went in the other direction for a second time.. the next thing I knew, here comes the manager asking if I needed some help, I told him no.. I go to Walgreens on Sheldon Street in Prescott every month. They are super. From the Clerks to the Pharmacists I have always received excellent service and very fair pricing. They call me by my fist name and I think in the year 2016 that is a good thing. p.s.- The other store on Willow Creek Road has given me the same kind of service too in the past, so I 5 star them also. read more

Specifically the pharmacy ... although others have had a bad experience, I give it a thumbs up. Have been using it for years and rarely have had a problem. Being in the downtown area the place is often busy, so sometimes there's a wait but it usually is negligible. Other store employees help in the pharmacy in order to keep lines down, so at least this shows their attention to customers. No concerns about shortages, wrong orders, etc. Will continue to patronize. read more

If I could give a -0 star I would. My Husband and I went to this Walgreens on Sunday afternoon to get our flu shots. We arrived at 1:30 pm and had no problem waiting in line behind a customer needed a consultation for his medicine. We waited for whomever was supposed to go over his medicine for many minutes. Maybe they were on break? When our turn came, a guy confirmed our previous information and handed us a paper with 5 questions to answer ..no problem. As we started to fill out the paperwork, a woman behind the counter got really upset that we were given paperwork. She said the pharmacy closes at 2 pm and if we didn't fill this out immediately they wouldn't give our flu shots today. She said we could come back tomorrow. I told her we were traveling and would be leaving tonight. We gave her the paperwork right away but forgot to circle a few questions on the back. She said she would not give us flu shots today since she had to close at 2pm. She took our paperwork and again said to come back tomorrow. We left, walked to our car which was many rows away from the door and it was 1:49...REALLY!!. We went to the Walgreens on Willow Creek...what a difference...the pharmacist was so nice, pleasant and easy to talk with. We filled out the paperwork again, although the 5 questions on the previous paperwork was not in this sheet. We were in and out in a few minutes. We had gotten our shots last year at the Sheldon location, so why the additional questions, Anyway, Allison, the tech or God forbid pharmacist was rude and mean at the Sheldon location. I can now understand why this location got a lower rating. We will not be going to Walgreens on Sheldon any more. Allison was non professional and her attitude very bad. read more

I went in to Walgreens yesterday to try to straighten out a mixup and insurance. Due to an insurance mixup, we had to pay retail costing us over $100 for a prescription for my wife that she needed for her back pain in June. The insurance company reimbursed us just what they would've paid Walgreens: $13. I went back to get the balance from Walgreens and they informed me that because we were past the "seven days" after the rx was filled and thus could not do anything. Footnote: it took us nearly 2 months to get it straightened out with the insurance company which is why we were past the seven days. The clerk was rude, and had a know it all attitude, and said "I told you so" after I had asked her politely to check with the pharmacist to make sure this was the case. So as it stands now, due to the Walgreens "seven day rule" we, as retirees on a fixed income, or out nearly $90. Great customer service Walgreens! I'll never go back. Oh and thanks for the price gouge on a $13 rx you charged over $100. read more

In February, my veterinarian in Phoenix called in a prescription to Walgreens for my dog. When I picked it up, the charge was $71.29 which I thought was high but was told that was correct. Yesterday I went to the vet in Phoenix and picked up a refill of the exact same medication and was charged $9. When I returned home I called Walgreens and the first person said the $71.29 was an error and it should have been $11. She then transferred me to a second person who was supposed to "fix the problem" and she informed me that the original charge of $71.29 was correct. #1 why does Walgreens charge almost EIGHT TIMES AS MUCH FOR THE EXACT SAME MEDICATION. #2 Why don't their employees know what the heck they are doing? read more

I have used this Wagreens for my prescriptions for a couple of years. Recently I bought a skin cream prescribed by my dermatologist that contained some very toxic ingredients. I found out about the ingredients once I got home and read the label. I was sick for a few days and was unable to return this un used, unopened prescription, but when I could I attempted to do so and was told it is not their policy to take returns on prescriptions. I explained that it was unopened; the metal seal to the tube was not punctured and it was still in date as I had only had it a few days. They would not take back: a perfectly good, new, unused tube of cream I could not and would not use because the contents were so toxic. I will not shop there again and I urge anyone shopping at that Walgreens pharmacy on Sheldon to know the ingredients in the prescriptions you are getting before you buy them or take them home, in you choose not to use something that would make your condition worse because of toxic ingredients. Not a good experience and not a very consumer friendly policy, they lost a good 2 customers, my husband and myself as well as anyone else I share this negative experience with. read more
