We called in a panic about returning it before they closed and luckily they have a return box so you can return it after hours. I will definitely be using this company next time I need a truck or van. For a stressful moment it was a positive experience.

On a recent trip, I saw a yellow truck and noticed that it was a Penske rental truck, so I looked into it and read reviews of them. I also saw that AAA gave substantial discounts for Penske rentals. My research showed that they were highly recommended, so I decided to give them a try. WOW!!! I was blown away by the difference! Not only were Penske truck superior, but this particular rental center was truly amazing. Jeffrey helped me prior to my picking up the truck and went out of his way to make arrangements to allow me to pick the truck up earlier to make it easier for our schedule since we lived about an hour away. When we picked it up on Saturday, Ed continued with the great service and had us all set up and ready to go with a beautiful, well maintained and spotless truck. They told me that the wireless set up works a lot better with magnets to go on the side of the trailer. I asked him if it doesn't work for the trip if they would refund my money. The guy said yes. Along the trip on Highway 40 the lights fell off one wire got wrapped around the trailer so that kept that light. The other one is sitting somewhere on Highway 40. I had to drive all the way to Bakersfield at night with no trailer lights to have a trailer company replace the lights I was gonna replace before I left. I came back and they said they would not refund my money for this piece of crap system that they sold me when I was going buy the right one in the first place.

We asked for a 26 footer and, in addition, got a hydraulic lift AND comfortable seats. This company was definitely more costly, but we saw many U-Haul trucks on the side of the road in obvious trouble, we had a smooth ride, without incident. Keep in mind, if you intend to get to your destination quickly, this truck is not for you, it moves very slowly, especially if you are hauling a house full of furniture. I will gladly use them again when I need a truck.

I called right after making the reservation to be sure that I'd get what I needed (as I was moving the following day and needed this taken care of pronto!) The man (I believe his name was Gerald) I spoke to on the phone said that even though I could make a reservation with them, it didn't guarantee I'd get what I needed. He informed me that he had NO TRUCKS available at all and I was out of luck. Disappointed (and utterly stressed!), I tried calling around to some other places only to have my phone calls interrupted by the Penske representative I had spoken to earlier. He had made some calls and made arrangements to get what I needed, where and when I needed it for the following day. He went ABOVE and BEYOND to give me impeccable service. He kept me updated with ETAs and even upgraded my truck with no extra charge. After having the door slammed in my face over and over, I was so grateful for this experience. I would definitely use, not only penske, but this location again (if I were ever moving away from Flagstaff again lol). The drop off was just as easy. Every question I had before picking up was answered and literally everything during this whole experience was a piece of cake. PS. I'm a twenty year old, female, college student and I drove one of the 16 footers from Flagstaff to California and felt so comfortable doing it! I am sad to say that I'm not terribly impressed. I have served the public myself for more than 7…read moreyears and during that time have mastered the art of self control. For this reason, it bothers me when customer service representatives do not demonstrate professionalism or self control in the way that they handle customer interaction. We prepaid online and picked up our Budget truck in Flagstaff this past weekend and when we walked into the office, I couldn't tell if the gal working the counter was a customer service representative or a customer herself. She had on speghetti strap, low cut tank with bra straps visable, a hat and cargo capris with sandals. Cute for a hike perhaps but not professional at all. We sat for 45 minutes before we were acknowledged and just listened to two separate upset customers, one after the other, deal with the gal in the hat. The customers were not irate or rude, one just concerned about fees he was charged without warning and the other about a serious delay getting his truck. Now, I understand how it feels to deal with upset customers and it sucks, but she made it obvious that she was a dead end road and was not thrilled to help. I feel that a few customer service training classes would be greatly beneficial for her. When we were finally acknowledged, the gal in the hat walked by us to get the truck for upset customer #2 and said in passing "it's going to be awhile. Just have a seat." Again, handled poorly. I got online immediately after to look for other services in the area in a sincere effort to abandon ship. As I pulled up the Penske truck rental website, the young man working with the gal in the hat helped us and was pleasant, helpful and got us on our way. I have no complaints about him. As for the other gal, it was obvious that she is a hard worker but needs some training and help to be able to handle stress and move customers forward past a dead end. Even if that option you give them is "I understand your frustration. Let me give you my general manager's card. Let's see if he can help us get to a solution. I appreciate you voicing your concern so that we have the opportunity to fix it." Boom. Customer is given an option not a brick wall. I won't be using budget again because of this. Customer service is too important to sacrifice for the sake of a good deal.

I was able to find a trailer somewhere else, that wasn't as big and not big enough to haul everything. If I had at least a day notice, I could have tried to make some other arrangements, but 2 hours is not enough time. Other rental truck companies at least try to find something else available in another location. Not this company. They just leave you stranded! To top it all off, I was then charged a $75 no show fee!

This Woody's is old! And it looks it. It has been here for as long as I can remember. It's the last…read moreplace to get gas as you are leaving Prescott and heading "down the hill, the back way." That's probably why the are 15c a gallon above standard prices in town. It's a small station with just 4 pumps, but they are modern. Likewise, Woody's store is small, but they have what you need and unlike the fuel prices they don't gouge you. The service is friendly too. They also have water & air so you can make sure you're road ready before heading out of Prescott.
