The store employees are either understaffed or take a lot of breaks. I came by to pick up my online order at the photos section and no one was there. There wasn't a bell I could ring so I just had to stand there waiting for fifteen mins. I asked an employee that walked by if they could get me my online order, but they told me they don't work in the photo area and I'll have to wait when someone is available. Another employee told me the photo area was closed for an hour, tried to find my package, then left to go in the back. I never saw her again. It wasn't until another employee told the cashier in the front to call for someone to help me at the photos area. Then someone finally came by to find my package, which was sitting on the online pick-up shelving. I'll think twice about picking up future online orders at this location. read more

I'm here for a covid booster. Been waiting 30+ minutes. Hardly any customers are wearing masks in the pharmacy area and there's nowhere to sit down. My back is killing me. The man administering the shots wears his mask below his nose and takes you into a tiny enclosed space, previously occupied by unmasked customers. Wish I had another choice. Hey Walgreens I just got back from your Portland, OR location at 82nd and Holgate where the person in charge (PIC) threatened to physically assault a man sitting in front of the store. On my way into the store the man politely asked me if I could help him get something to eat. While I was waiting in the cashier's line the PIC learned from someone else that someone was sitting on the curb out front, she then went out and started screaming at the man. Screaming loud enough for everyone in the store to hear her - he remained calm "You could sit at the bus bench, that's public. This is private." Factually true enough, but what form She continues: "If you aren't gone when I come back in 5min I will kick you!" When she comes in from yelling at him I confronted her "You just threatened to assault that man" and she responded "I threaten to assault people every day" She then turns on me "You aren't buying him food, are you? That's not allowed" I informed her that if I was not before I most certainly was now. And she again doubled down saying that I wasn't allowed to. I asked for her name/position but she refused to give it and walked away. I'd wished there were other impulse food buys closer to the register. I would have bought him a full smorgasbord if I could have. But you should know, Walgreens, this will be the last time I frequent this store and I'll be recommending to friends to also take their business elsewhere. read more

Prescription Pick-up. If I could give it zero stars, I would. We are now going on 40 minutes. We are stopping everyone else from getting their prescription, but the pharmacist or Tech does not seem bothered by it since there are seven or eight cars behind us. Most places would say pull to the side and we will run it up to you! I feel bad for the others but they told us just wait here. It is also very very trashy everywhere you look outside. I come to Walgreens on 82nd in Portland Oregon. I live int the area. Debbie and Rachel are awesome, but your security guard Wally at the front door is pretty much useless. He sits on his phone all day and never catches all the theft that is happening at this location on 82nd. If security is not secure I have a huge problem with it. I went yesterday and Wally was sitting on the check out stand on his phone. Laughed at me when I called him out. POOR hire for Wally. Fire him. I watch people run in out of this store with free stuff since Wally won't do anything. NOT the Walgreens staff.....but I don't feel comfortable with the people smoking drugs and harassing me. Please get someone in to protect good employees like Debbie and Rachel. These people that come to your location put them in danger. I will not shop there anymore if this keeps happening. read more

I dropped off a prescription yesterday and explained that it was urgent, yet they couldn't fill it with only 45 minutes before they closed. They said to come back at 11:30 today. Sunday. Today they are closed because everyone who works there called out. I drove to another Walgreens to get the prescription transferred but was unable to because they lazy assholes didn't even bother to enter my prescription in their system. Now I'll be without the medications for 36 hours unless I go back to the emergency room. Fuck you Walgreens pharmacy. read more

Today I downloaded & completed a form for my Covid shot, arrived on time for my appointment at the pharmacy, & my form was not accepted by the pharmacy employee. She asked me to complete another form. I completed the one she gave me but I noted that it asked for the exact same information & was essentially the same as the one I brought in. When I pointed out to her that the second form asked for the same information & was the same as the one I brought in, she said, "It's not the same to me." I said I just got the form off the Walgreens website this morning, so I think Walgreens should take the form off the website if they're not going to accept it. She appeared unfazed. For 2 years, I have used this Walgreens with excellent service, and one day, the gate is closed to go into the drive-thru, then again and again, and now it's going on a year the gate is always closed. I am disabled, so I picked this Walgreens because it's a drive-thru, but now I have to call and ask if they will open the gate, which most times they do now in the past two months, they have not. I walk on 2 canes, and it is so painful for me to do that, but I have to get my meds, so I have, but now I'm looking for another Walgreens with a drive-thru. Pros: convenient location, has standard Walgreens stuff Cons: - human sewage on sidewalk. I've come here and seen a full-sized poop-log out front. I came back a few weeks later, and you could still see where the crap footlong had been slowly dissolved by the rain and dribbled down into the parking lot. The bike rack right outside the front door smells like a national park vault toilet. As you can see from the pictures that someone else uploaded, they never clean up the sewage. - rats in parking lot. I've seen some of the largest rats here at night. They likely feast upon all the poop. - aggressive, tweaked-out panhandlers are allowed to take up residence on the filthy, rat-infested sidewalks directly outside the door. - frequently sold out of products for long periods of time, especially the cheaper Walgreens brand. - pharmacy doesn't have access to medications that the other Wal* across the street can fill without a problem. So why do I keep going back here? It's convenient and has standard Walgreens stuff. Sometimes that trumps all else, in which case it's worth it to have to step over a monster honkin turd to gain access to the NyQuil (name-brand only if they're sold out of generic) inside. Just make sure you're up to date on your hepatitis immunization before you go. read more

For the 3rd time in a row I have requested a refill on my meds. For the 3rd time in a row their system has failed to notify me when it has been filled. I just called to find out if my medication was ready and the woman who answered the phone said "yes, it looks like it was flagged for us to offer you a generic and that might be why it didn't notify you it was ready" Ok so how can you offer me a cheaper med if you never tell me it's filled? Also, I have NEVER been offered a generic at this walgreens. So if that's what hangs it up every month then why haven't they just offered it to me and moved on? Not remotely cool! read more

They go the mile to check on your prescriptions, help if you get stuck, etc. the pharmacy is excellent. The rest of the store is expensive. They only carry the regular medical things so if you need things like a cotton roll or metatarsal pads you won't find them. Lots of make up, less medical. Lots of campy gifts. I only Go for the pharmacy. Outer drive thru lane is broken. Not 24 hours. read more

I switched to this Pharmacy just over one year ago, it's close to my house and has a drive thru! After many visits, and hoping the service was going to get better- it hasn't. No one in the Pharmacy acts like they want to be there, it seems to be constantly understaffed and the communication is awful. My doctor sent over 3 new prescriptions electronically, which they told me they never received and I needed to request them again from my doctor's office. Which I did, my doctor called me right away to find out why I was requesting the meds again. My doctor's office had to call them twice to get everything straightened out, which I was told they did have the request the entire time "it was just hard to find." When I was told they were ready I went to pick them up and found that they didn't fill one of them because it was available OTC. I requested it be filled anyway and they did. The last time I went in I was required to have a consultation with the Pharmacist, I asked a few questions and received very short answers, after which she just walked away. She didn't ask if I had any other questions or even say bye or thank you. Just walked away out of my site. I wasn't even sure if she went to grab something else for me or we were done. After waiting several minutes, I concluded we were done and left. Very disappointing interaction. read more

Ran into the store to grab something to drink. Saw Christmas Items on clearance for 50% off. Decided to grab a couple of bags of chocolates to bring to work. Went to pay, rung up as full price. So I brought it to the attention of the cashier and said it would apply the discount after I entered my rewards number. Rewards aren't required for a clearance price... cashier said she would still apply it. I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't have the time to wait while she assisted another customer that came in asking questions, halfway through my order. I bought two sodas that were on sale for less than $4 And two bags of candy. Everything rang up at $24. After she took off the so-called 50% off for two bags of candy that were on clearance, it was still $18 and change. Clearly, the 50% off was not applied properly. Didn't have time to argue this in store and had to leave paying full price for one of the bags that was nearly $14. read more

Do NOT use this pharmacy. They frequently fail to fill prescriptions, blaming the doctor's office. I have had to repeatedly follow up with the Doctor's office, then Walgreens, to get one of my prescriptions filled. But, with another one, a lotion, I got a bad batch. It was the wrong color and had foreign things in it. Having used this for a few years, there was no question of shaking it up or it being just a matter of separation. I called and had to argue with a man (pharmacist?) who after telling me I had to track down the manufacturer and have them replace it, finally relented that I could bring the unused bottle back to have it swapped out, as one would do for anything. But, when I went to the pharmacy, he was not there and the pharmacist there would not accept or exchange it, repeatedly and dismissively telling me, "That is our process." So, if you get a bad prescription at this pharmacy, you will need to track down the manufacturer, and get them to send you a new one. My prescription is not a matter of life and death. But it is a matter of some significant discomfort and inflammation, and while I am chasing down a replacement, I hope it will not be too much of an issue. Hopefully someone with a more serious condition and prescription need will not have to go through the same thing. You would not have to contact the manufacturer of a box of cereal or a 6 pack of sodas you might buy at this Walgreens, they would just replace. Not so for prescriptions. So buyer/patient beware, and hope the quality of their medicines is good for you. But, best bet, go elsewhere. read more

Our son switched health insurance coverage and we could not for the life of us get his mental health medication filled for 3 days! Pharmacy kept telling us his profile ID was invalid. I spent 2 days and several hours on hold with the insurance company and the pharmacy insurance company both saying his membership was valid and good to go. The pharmacy not only barley gives you any time because their busy but they don't do anything in a timely manor and wouldn't give much time to the company they kept calling them on my behalf to figure this mess out! Then one of the Asian guys in there is so hard to understand with the language barrier. That's the smallest of this pharmacy issues. They need to treat these issues like they are important and give each person time. The also need to check their work and stop arguing with everyone who tells them they are wrong. They have 4 people telling them they are incorrect and trying to sort this out and Walgreens lady won't listen and take the time to help figure it out. Leaving my son and us to pay for it. The only reason we are using them is because the DR. Called it in there. Otherwise we'd have to reach out and go through all this drama again with trying to get the dr to call it somewhere else etc. read more
