Absolutely unbelievable that a pharmacy would close before the listed time with no warning. I had a prescription i really needed, i work long hours. i beg my boss to let me leave early to go get it, and i manage to get there 15 minutes before it closes, only to find it's closed anyway. I could understand this for a restaurant or something like that but not a pharmacy. People need to be able to rely on a pharmacy. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. read more

This has been my go-to Walgreens for the 20 years I've lived in Portland. It's not that clean, there are always street people sleeping against the wall or begging me for money when I enter, but I keep going back. The people that work there are very nice and provide great customer service. It's not their fault that the area where the store is located has become so run down. I'm always making homemade greeting cards and Christmas cards; I order online and pick them up here. Prices can't be beat and photos are always good quality. As I've mentioned in other reviews, I prefer the smaller versions of stores because it's easier to go in, grab what I need, and leave. I'm forever running a bunch of errands and this Walgreens fits the bill. Definitely smaller than most, but I don't need it to be larger. I'm coming here for a few items I can't get elsewhere. In. Out. Done. I've no experience with the a Pharmacy because I use Rite-Aid so this review is for the store itself. It's convenient for me since I drive by every single day going to and from the gym. Pharmacist tech Hailey with short hair is probably the rudest person I have ever encountered in the health care field. She has a terrible attitude and should not be in this line of work if she cannot treat any customers with common human decency. All other Techs are sweet but seem extremely uncomfortable around her as she is always in a terrible mood every time I need to pick up my medication. I understand everyone has their bad days, but it should not reflect in your work and affect the people you are supposed to be helping. read more

My husband I are so frustrated with the Walgreens in Cornelius, Oregon. Some aspects of their service we appreciate, such as the drive thru window and automatic renewals. But every year we go to get our Covid and other shots there, and the wait is at least 45 minutes, even though we have an appointment. The woman who was to give us our shots seemed to have no idea what was going on. We finally left without our shots because the pharmacy could not find the forms we signed and submitted. The pharmacists here are incompetent and lie with frequency. It often takes 3 or 4 trips to fill a simple prescription.

The rudest pharmacist I've ever experienced. She lied and said that the signatures on the prescription slips looked different. Therefore she couldn't give my wife her medication that she was prescribed. My wife had her wisdom teeth removed on a Friday. The dentist office is closed over the weekend. The pharmacist claimed that she couldn't release the medication until she heard back from the doctor. So my wife suffered in pain for three days without pain medication. read more

Our insurance requires we use Walgreens pharmacy. The Cornell Rd location is THE WORST MANAGED PHARMACY EVER. They have made no efforts to correct the lack of staffing since Covid broke out. Today their drive-up is closed, and the line of customers inside wraps around the interior of the store. Pay the pharmacists more, hire new management, do something. Your status quo is UNACCEPTABLE. read more

I have mostly used CVS for most of my adult life, but for convenience I now use Walgreens. I miss CVS. The pharmacy always seems to be closed for lunch every time I try to go. I know that they do this, it just feels like the exact moment I have free time to run an errand always seems to be when they are closed and it's frustrating. I don't know of other pharmacys that completely close for lunch (at least CVS in other states never did). The photo department is nice to have but it always takes awhile to flag someone down that can help me. Figuring out how to get into the parking lot with the one way streets is always a fun puzzle. Bottom line: serves its purpose but never a fun experience. read more

This has been my go-to Walgreens for the 20 years Ive lived in Portland (not Portland more like the greater Portland area but you get the gist of things). Anyway I walk and this tall block of meat named Dennis or something asks me to leave cause Im not adhibiting to dress code. I say no way Jose and next thing I know Im backwards roller blading down 32nd street with hand in a bind wearing what I can only describe as a little girls forgotten set of soccer shorts. I get to the. bottom and backwater Dennis offers me one last chance to turn around, I say id rather be dead so I make a break for it. Long story short I got my cliff bars but It was at the cost of my innocence and "the triplets" if you know what I mean. All in all not a bad trip but I could've used more manners from the boys in blue. Hopefully ill see you all tomorrow read more

Yesterday, we were in need of travel supplies that one easily can forget. We had spent the day roaming NoPo and stopped into Walgreens. Upon arriving, we needed to use the restroom so we headed to the back of the store. We noticed that the bathrooms had code locks on them. As if timing weren't any better, store employee Brittany exited the women's restroom. She kindly opened the men's room for my partner without any question. She was very friendly and helpful. We gathered our supplies and headed to pay at the register. Brittany was the smiling face that greeted us. In between all of her extraordinary customer service skills, she managed to alert the manager discreetly about a potential theft. We literally had no idea what was going on until we witnessed the manager grab a 4 pack of beer from the hands of the thief on his way out of the sliding doors! Great job, Brittany! You're a keeper! It's a typical Walgreen's, pretty average. When I'm in N.E. this is the location that I prefer, because unlike the locations at MLK/Ainswoth and Killingsworth/33rd which constantly have drunks and panhandlers sitting by the front doors, this particular location is vagrant-free whenever I happen to stop here. The only thing that I don't like is the parking lot, its horrible! Small lot, really narrow parking spaces, and if there's a delivery truck and/or semi-trailer making deliveries OMG! Last time, I wanted to just say screw it and park on the street, but all the surrounding streets are metered so you have to pay to park. read more

I love this Walgreens , seeing I was only in town for a short period of time I needed a close convenient store to get some snacks / drugstore beauty products and with this store only being a 6 minute walk from the courtyard Marriott it seemed like the place to go. The store was clean, and well put together. There was a pretty good range of different things to get ( especially the makeup section) they had a NYX section which a LOT of different products. Nothing too special about this walgreens. The layout was definitely a weird one, but I guess now that I think of it, that seems to be the majority of this chain's stores. Not too much to it, but they definitely will have the more basic of supplies. One being cranberry juice and mountain dew for those times that you're making cocktails and "Uncle Dewies." I just wanted to give a quick Thank You to the ladies who work the Photo counter. I drop off film weekly and I'm usually pretty particular about how it is handled. Film is a dying medium. When you shoot photographs in film, you can't just delete them and start over or erase the ones you don't like. It's also impossible to recover an image if something happens in the processing stages which is why I'm generally so particular about where my film is developed and who handles it. Everyone there is always more than accommodating to me and I appreciate it so much! There are 2 or 3 ladies I deal with most often and they usually remember me and are very friendly. I have had less than pleasant experiences at other Walgreen photo departments (NE 33rd, SE 39th etc) and I appreciate the customer service at this branch, which is what keeps me coming back. I think I need to start a new list: "Best places in Portland to get pan handled." Yep, you guessed it, the Walgreen's parking lot is also one of them, and not all that far up the street from Pan Handler Central--Safeway. That aside, this is a great all-purpose drug store and one stop shopping for all your drug store products, prescriptions at the pharmacy, and other nonsense like seasonal candles, bad greeting cards, the occasional magazine or trash novel, candy, and other junk you might throw in the cart. My only regret (not counting pan handlers) is that this one is not open 24 hours. Overall, a nice drug store in a very convenient location. read more

I come here a lot because it's smallish and they have most things you need in a pinch. I work nearby. I went in Jan 2nd around 11:30am and couldn't find motor oil for my car. No biggie. But the guy at the register was painfully slow with the person before me. And even slower with me (I was buying 2 items). He proceeded to card me for cough medicine and stared at my license for what felt like the longest time. Patience and understanding go a long way, but this day I was in a hurry and he was moving at wayyyyy slower than the average pace. Do not shop casually at Walgreens. Our company bought a couple of items for our first aid station, then returned two ice packs as they were incorrect. The purchase was returned with the receipt within a few days of origin. They refused to accept the return as the card used was not available to accompany the receipt. Note: This is solely from my experience with the pharmacy, and mainly one person. Without going through all the details of the epically horrible experience I had transferring a prescription here, let me post the highlights: - I got a confirmation phone call saying they received it from the other pharmacy, but when I showed up to pick it up days later, they had no records of me even existing. - The person at the counter did not seem at all invested in helping me get my prescription filled. I waited 20 minutes for her to figure it out. Then I called the other pharmacy myself to work it out. Then she said it would take another 30 minutes, so I said I'd come back. When I came back 2 hours later she said they still hadn't gotten the info they needed. She never provided solutions, only reasons it wasn't available. Even when I made it clear she was putting me in the position of potentially having withdrawal symptoms without my prescription. - When I was seated in the waiting area and there were other people waiting in line, she called out to confirm the name of the medication I wanted filled. Out loud. In front of strangers. I'd find a different pharmacy if I were you. read more

Had my fair share of frustration with the pharmacy dept. of walgreens. This location however has continuously exceeded my expectations. Especially the girl with blonde trendy hair, she is -hands down- the best, sweetest, most accommodating I've ever encountered. Suffering from migraines, I am constantly concerned with the status of my generic imitrex refills. The girl (mentioned above w/ blonde hair) literally brought me tears on one particular occasion where I desperately needed my rx in the midst of a severe migraine my insurance was being difficult ab refilling for me. I felt dumb at the time, being so concerned my refill, but she was so empathic to my situation without making me feel like a burden. And went above and beyond -though she didn't need to- to ensure I got the care I so desperately needed. The whole crew is godsend. I am beyond more than thankful I found a pharmacy that cares and would absolutely recommend this pharmacy to anyone, especially those who feel there's not a caring pharmacy out there. Trust me, use this location. You'll not be disappointed. I cannot stress this enough. My sincerest thanks to this pharmacy's general concern to their customers. It means to so much to those of us fed up w/ the disregard other pharmacies often offer. read more

We've come here for many years. Overall the service both at the pharmacy and in the store in general is usually very good. However, there's one key issue for the pharmacy to address. When you go to such great lengths (on the recording when calling store, signage in store, pharmacists reminding you verbally) to point out you close for lunch from 1:30 to 2:00 daily, please adhere to that. Many of us plan errands around other commitments, so showing up to find out you won't open until 2:10 is disrespectful of your customers' time read more

I typically walk in for some simple last minute things, Mascara, Shampoo, lady products...etc.. and usually right after the gym... and the ladies working the counters are so friendly! let it be said they have kind service, but I appreciate their kind gestures in recommending: the Buy-One-Get-One 50% deals or doing a scavenger hunt through their coupon stash to help me out with knocking the price down... these ladies are the reason I keep coming to this location. This is the worst pharmacy Walgreens location I've ever interacted with. I made an appointment to get my booster shot last night (I did this through a guest checkout) and remembered I needed to cancel to help my grandmother get to an appointment. So, I call and get a man who picks up and he tells me to just go online and change it, but I had already told him that the website told me to call if I hadn't created an account. He basically just kept telling me to come in for a walk in and I told him I'm a full time student and full time worker so I wouldn't have time and would prefer to have a scheduled time to avoid a 30 min+ wait. He then put me on hold without saying anything, I wait for 5 minutes, and then a woman answers. She proceeds to for some reason not help me reschedule the appointment, but tell me to walk in, so I told her the same thing. She then gets rude in tone and says it wouldn't make a difference, when it literally does for me with school and work. At this point I had to tell her to just fully cancel the appointment and now I'm going to schedule it elsewhere. I've always had insanely good experiences in Walgreens and their pharmacy section, but these people were so rude and unhelpful. I would recommend a different location if you're wanting any kind of "okay" service. read more

There was a huge pile of puke outside their store that no one cleaned up, a homeless man begging for money right behind the puke, another homeless man using their phone at the photo center for over ten minutes, and the quality of my photos were so bad I had to return them. The current manager on site did not apologize for the poor quality and seemed to care less for that matter. read more
