My pharmacy is closing across the street in 3 days. I'd been trying to transfer and fill the prescription with that same chain down the street for 3 to 4 weeks to no avail, and with horrible customer service. This Walgreens filled my prescription in 24 hrs for far less money, a 1/4 of the cost with good rx, for 30 days, and with 5 refills. Only waited in the drive thru about 5 mins to pick it up. The service for me has been great but I have heard a number of people complain after the turnover in staff. Selection is limited to otc items and medicines. I had to switch to this pharmacy due to an insurance issue. I've had nothing but problems here. The employees are always rude. Carolyn is the manager, she seems to not enjoy her job and never has a friendly attitude. I receive a call informing me my prescriptions are ready for pick up and every single time I show up to pick them up they are not ready. They tell me to come back another day or I need to wait 20-30 mins. Having a friendly attitude and a smile goes a really long way. I went into Walgreens today in the afternoon and I can't believe the weekly ad sale prices were not even put up. What kind of store manager would allow such a thing?? Weekly sale starts on Sunday and when I went in, it was Monday afternoon, why are they so lazy?? This certainly is a horrible way to run a business. I had a coupon to spend $1 or more, I would earn $10 cash rewards. The middle age hispanic cashier kept insisting if I want to apply a $10 discount to my purchase. I told her it doesn't work like that and she kept saying it was. She was so stubborn about it that I just said I didn't want to use anything, just gave her my coupon and paid for my purchase. The cash register did not pick up the deal and I did not get $10 towards my cash reward. Wow, this Walgreen is such a mess. This cashier needs to be trained properly about the cash rewards because she knew nothing about it. She called another associate to help me and looks like something is wrong with the register because the coupon did not go through. He just manually credited $10 to my cash rewards account. This is a Real Walgreens Pharmacy -before they started selling Holiday Decorations, Groceries and Patio Furniture!! I'm taking care of my Uncle in OC but needed a RX Filled. Been torturing myself at the Walgreen's pharmacy @ 3100 McCart Ave, FW, TX for years. Worst pharmacy I have ever used. The turnover rate is through the roof, they could care less about doing their job, much less providing any customer service, they are so slow in helping customers you swear it is intentional, Rx's not ready when they promised, lost prescriptions, reoccurring monthly prescriptions just randomly don't get filled with no apology or explanation, and I could go on, but you get the picture. Moving across the street to CVS and hopeful they are better. Frankly, I do not know how they could be worse. No one working there looks happy and they way they cycle through there, they must quit or transfer to a different store. Unbelievable way to run a store. I even talk to other customers when I can (since we are standing in line for 30 minutes while their understaffed pharm techs saunter about ignoring everyone on the phone, in the drive thru, or at the counter) to see if they have any of the same issues and I have never met a person that did not loathe this pharmacy! This is the smallest Walgreens I've ever been to. It is basically a pharmacy-only store. Does not have any other common convenience items found in most drugstores. I came in one day to buy some gift cards. I tried to pay with my credit card but was told by the pharmacy clerk that they only accept cash payments. What the what!? I have never heard this before. I find it amazing that a store could be so insensitive to customers, not to mention so HIPAA non compliant. The "consult" area is right next to the register which means when the pharmacist speaks to the customer regarding their prescriptions, any and all people can hear what's being said. I've witnessed two separate occasions where the pharmacist has loudly asked the customer potentially embarrassing questions regarding their prescription. One was for a man's prostrate medicine and the other was another man's increased prozac dose. Why can't the consult area be at the other end of the counter where the drop off area is? There is rarely anyone over there and it is much more private. I also had an issue with an incorrect number of pills being given to me and, although they refused to accept blame (how could that have been my fault, other than I didn't realize I needed to check the number issued on the bottle vs the script every time?) the store manager did make it right. read more

I am shocked that I am giving Walgreens 5 stars but based on my last couple visits, I think they deserve it. The background is that my treatment at a different, much more convenient Walgreens has slid from totally fine to indifferent to downright rude. They always make you feel like you are inconveniencing them by utilizing the pharmacy and they are doing a huge favor no matter what you are needing. When it came time to get my son and myself a flu shot this year, I finally realized that I was no longer comfortable having someone putting a needle into my son given how unkind the service has been the last few years. So I decided to give this new to me Walgreens a chance recently & the difference is noticeable. First, they have 2 different windows, one for Covid testing & one for prescriptions. It's great not having to get stuck behind a Covid test when I just want to quickly pick up a prescription. Even once when there was a bit of a wait in the drive thru, the tech actually apologized for the wait & I realized that at my local place, they had not once even acknowledged much longer waits. Though the actual reason for the 5 star review was our experience getting flu shots last Friday. While explaining to the tech that my son previously had an egg allergy, but was no longer allergic per the form that must be filled out, the pharmacist had somehow heard our conversation from across the store and told the tech to give my son the egg free shot, just to be on the safe side. I was just so impressed that even while she was helping someone else, she was actively listening to what was going on and found a way to give us better, safer medicine. I just felt well taken care of here. She was going out of her way to be helpful whereas our local spot seems to go out of the way to be unhelpful. The men behind the counter in blue scrubs we're awesome. The woman in the white coat here this morning should not be in charge of anyone or anybodies prescriptions. This morning I went in to fill 2 prescriptions for my father before his vacation. I go inside to the counter, and speak with the woman in the white coat. She says she can fill my prescriptions in about 20-30 minutes. I go back inside, 50 minutes later and stand around at the counter, the two men are busy on the phone doing drive through orders, and she is standing where she is supposed to be doing prescriptions, answering every text message that she receives every 20 seconds. She didn't bother to even look to see if I was a new customer or if I just needed help. I interrupt her to ask her if my 2 prescriptions are ready and she says they will be ready in just a few minutes. I said why are my prescriptions not done? She replies that she is just very busy. And I asked her I have been standing here ignored for 3 minutes watching you send texts on your cell phone. She tries to deflect my comments as if I am talking about the notification system that tells you when your prescription is ready, telling me the company is the one who sends the texts, not her. Again, I reassure her that I am talking about the inconsiderate behavior of her prioritizing her personal life ahead of filling all of the orders of customers first. Walgreens gets the work of half of a person when she is behind the counter. By far the worst pharmacy experience I have encountered. Really shocking to have to address adults as if they are 15. Put your phone away!!!!! Leaving it in plain sight and ignoring the customers while they could all see her texting there was a pretty bad move. read more

My wife and I both agree that the staff that work there are just plain COMPETENT. I know that this shouldn't be such a rare thing but unfortunately it is. They referenced my insurance from my wife's info and did it in under a minute. I asked questions they gave straightforward answers. They just had there stuff together. Update..after my paper rx was handed back to me, and I was told to go somewhere closer to my house (12 miles away) I received an email from this Walgreens that my prescriptions were ready for pick up. I called and told the technician that my prescription was refused and she said that I must be mistaken, and it was ready for pick up. So now I had my filled prescription, AND a paper prescription. O_o I do continued to have my prescription filled here every month, until two weeks ago when there was some dimensional shift and my house was now too far away from them. When this mysterious time-space portal reopens, maybe Walgreens and I shall be reunited once more. I decided to give this place a chance after my father continuously complained about them and he was absolutely correct. They lie and they're never truthful. I asked the older Asian lady if they provided cash back, she looked at me with the most judging face and rudely said ehh yeah hang on! So I grab a candy bar and wait a couple mins. I usually never go here, preferring the CVS across the street or Target down the street, but I read about a special Walgreen's was running on Sprite 12-packs - 4 for $12. The layout of the store is gross - the place feels overcrowded and dirty compared to other drug stores. The girl who rung me up was SO inept! I wanted to grab a new hair brush and some shampoo, in addition to the Sprite. However, when the girl rang up the Sprite - the cash register wasn't reflecting the discount. I caught this error before she started to ring up the hair brush and shampoo and asked her to recheck it because I didn't think the discount was coming up. She looked at me blankly, then looked at the screen of the register, and was like, "Well... Whatever the machine tells me, that's usually correct." I'm like, No, I can do math, and my subtotal is reading $24-something (charging me $6 a 12-pack, instead of $3). I'm like, "The total is too high based on the discount." She's like, "Well... I can get you a calculater." I'm like, "I don't need a calculator to know that I'm being overcharged. Can you please get the manager so I can get the advertised discount?" Then she started to get rude and nervous -- she's like, "The manager's on break... Right. I TOTALLY bought that! I looked at her with frustration and said, "Nevermind. Keep your fake discount. I'm done with this store forever. Thank you for giving me a reason to never come back here!" So, basically, I didn't get what I needed or wanted and had crappy customer service. And I am almost always guaranteed to run into a problem regarding filling a new medication or refilling a medication. Months ago I transfer all of my families prescriptions over to Linda Vista Pharmacy where I have had not one issue. Unfortunately tonight my husband's doctor sent the prescription to this Walgreens. I came here to get the flu shot (quad) in February. A bit late, I know. But I had been sick on and off with different things and then traveling. So I went to their tiny drugstore and had no problem paying for it. Then a woman came out to try and talk me out of the flu shot. She stated that flu season was over and that it would only protect me 10% and that the strain of flu going around town isn't the same so it wouldn't matter if I got the flu shot. I let her know I still wanted it but she continued to argue with me. I sat in their chair and pulled up the CDC website where they had just issues another recommendation that adults continue to get it. It didn't matter, she continued to try and talk me out of it. I finally said to her, "this is my decision, not yours." She was annoyed but administered the flu shot. After the shot was done, she stated that I would get a fever. Not that it's a possibility, but emphatically that I would. Then she told me that I would get the flu later in the evening. With an eye roll, I literally read back to her the sheet they gave me with possible side effects. I am giving this place 1 less star because I strongly feel that spreading incorrect medical information is never okay. Another 1 less star for allowing her personal opinions to interfere with a persons personal wishes. And 1 less star for her attitude towards me. read more

Looks like the reviews are mixed, but I personally I had a great experience here. I was in the area and had to get a prescription filled - I only waited 10 minutes. That's faster than my regular Walgreens! The pharmacist (I think her name was Ellie Vu?) also alerted me that a generic version had just been released for another med I take (not the one I filled), so that I could save money next time I refilled. Gal inside was apparently bothered by me needing to pickup my scrip. I then tried to ask about future re-fills, I was told that until she has the scrip, she cant discuss future refills. I parked got to the door at 1:31 and the woman changed the open sign to closed saying they close for lunch 1:30-2 but you can use the drive through. I said ok and went back to my car. Got in line at the drive through. There was one car in front of me. As I was driving to the window she put the "closed out of office until 2pm" sign on the window.
