Rays is 2-3 times the cost, Grocery Outlet is less expensive but less quality. Didn't count BiMart or Dollar Store. Recently in Bend paid around $1.25 to $1.75 a pound for Apples. We bought 6 (six) Apples at Shop Smart in LAPine and it cost $12.00 !!! They were $3.99 a pound. Or $2.00 per Apple. At this rate locals can drive to Bend to buy groceries, even given high gas prices. SHAME on these local stores for ripping off thier community! When traveling, be smart, buy in Bend and pack a cooler. We've always tried to support small communities we frequently travel to but this was ridiculous.
