Walgreens pharmacy has been extremely backed up lately due to staffing issues from the looks of it. The lines have been very long lately. I had my medication delayed by an entire day even though the app said it would be ready the night before. Use the app to check your medication status and refill. I've been trying to get my mom to use the app instead of calling Walgreens or going in person to ask about a status of a medication. My recommendation would be to wait for the notification or check the app before driving over. You can set notifications as a text when your mediciation is ready. If you arrive to the store and your medication is not ready, the phamacist may be able to get your medication ready in 20-40 minutes while you wait. However, if the medication can wait until app says ready, it saves you being turned away or waiting for it in the store. If it's a busy day with more than 5 folks in line at a time.... then be prepared to wait like 40 minutes. Then you gotta get back in line to ask if it's ready. For the store review, the store has also been understaffed for a while. Sometimes the lines are very long. The store is generally clean though and the employees are kind. Sometimes, there's not much you can do when there's a rush of people coming in during lunch or after school. Another tip I recommend is the Walgreens app sometimes has way better deals if you buy on there and pick-up in store. read more

I went to this Walgreens store for the first & last time this past weekend. I placed an order online & went to pick it up the next day. I went straight to the photo counter & waited about a minute before pressing the call button. About 30 seconds later, a lady with really short hair comes over & doesn't greet me; just says "what can I do for you?" I let her know I'm picking up an online order. While she was processing the order, I asked a simple question & she answered in the most condescending tone. I needed to buy a few more items, but decided to take my business elsewhere. I get the feeling my experience with Walgreens may reflect a reasonable expectation for any corporate pharmacy, but nevertheless, if not grading on a curve, these guys get a hard F. The list of issues is too long to detail here, but I can summarize a couple of highlights: Problems with the app force phone outreach, which, with an average 40-minute hold time, prompts one to consider whether it might just be easier to drive down in person. If you decide a 40-minute hold is tolerable, the call is often met with disdain for not using the app. Any level of assertiveness is met with an "I couldn't care less attitude with many of the pharmacy staff. One day, I saw the pharmacist screaming at a diabetic customer who dared complain that they had repeatedly dropped the ball on his insulin prescription, and I mean screaming. He was literally screaming, "Nobody likes you, boohoo, nobody likes me" repeatedly. Like total-meltdown repeatedly. Ragefully! I mean, wow! He totally lost his shot, such that the twenty-something-year-old store manager had to come and be the adult in the room. The customer appeared to be a very reasonable person, mind you. I also witnessed one of the workers, arguing with a customer in the drive-through, deliberately slam the exchange drawer into the customer's car door in the heat of the exchange. When the customer wanted to complain to the pharmacist, the pharmacist mocked and yelled at the customer (same pharmacist). This is crazy stuff. All the while, I can't help but feel this is what happens when corporate bottom-line thinking underpays, understaffs, and otherwise demoralizes their workers - especially when some of those workers, like the pharmacist, spent years in school, only to be underpaid such that their salary is only half of what is required to qualify for the average starter home. This Walgreens seems to be the cumulative effect of greedy corporate policy on work-environment culture, encapsulated and, in the case of their pharmacist, personified. read more

The pharmacist are rude and not helpful. Even to call they don't even greed you just say hold u wait about 30-40 min for them to answer. Also when you call to get info on ur meds you get awful customer service sometimes the phone service is awful . The manager there is rude idk if she's Indian but didn't seem to care or even try helping or greeting you . They need to work on patient care and customer service. read more

Not too much variety, prices are higher than what most places charge for the same item. Small parking lot but finding a parking spot is usually not difficult. A lot of the items are locked so be prepared to wait a bit for staff to unlock and obtain your item. read more

The pharmacy is a mess. my doctor faxed a prescription in. I waited eight hours, and went to pick up the prescription, only to be told they didn't accept the VA. I called my doctor, and he called the pharmacy the next day. Miraculously, they now accept the VA. I waited eight hours, and went in. The girl at the counter was obnoxiously rude when she told me the prescription wasn't ready and said, "You should've called before coming over. Sit over there and they'll have it ready in thirty minutes." read more

There is a woman at the register with short cut hair, brown, that is incredibly rude upon being asked a simple question. If I'm walking in and don't know where something is, I am going to ask. She does nothing but dismiss you and if it isn't her job to help? Get a different job if you cannot handle something as simple as answering to another human. It is very incompetent. read more

Unethical business practice administered by the pharmacy department. My 7 year olds father took my 7 year old and my 16 year old and lied then gave them both the vaccine without my knowledge. One doesn't have his last name even but she still got the shot. They didn't ask her for consent and didn't question if she WANTED the shot. They just jabbed her. Calling the Pharmacist, resulted in the Pharmacy Manager saying "we need the last names to match for the shot to be administered". Come to find out, later, not sure if this is true but the pharmacist "Dr. Nihan" - said "we only need one parent with them to get the shot". So, you need two parents to enroll your child in school, at the Doctors office or have a legal document showing you have Power of Attorney or you are the Full Custodial Parent but you only need ONE parent to show up and ask for the shot and they can get it. I'm all for vaccines as long as BOTH parents AGREED on the shot. This time, Walgreens really did cross the line. Just sick. I will not be shopping at your stores and I will be blasting this all over and involving the news. This is EXTREMELY unethical. SHAME on this "Doctor". May God have mercy on your soul. read more

The pharmacy tech Adriana here has to be the rudest person I've ever had to deal with while needing customer assistance at this location, the pharmacy will take all day to fill my medication then she feels I deserve an attitude when I call to follow up, over talking while I'm speaking on the phone cutting me off and all together walking away from the register. Went to the Pharmacy. Was stressed to get my honey's meds and get him back home and taken care of after a surgery. Doc said he called it in and meds would be waiting by the time we got there across town. Got stuck behind a train! Even had to turn off the car- it was that long. Finally, got to the Pharmacy 30 minutes later. Of course it was not ready. Almost lost it. Adrina behind the counter calmed me down, reassured me, and got me out of there as fast as she could. I really appreciated her customer service skills. There were many customers and two other employees were on break- but Adrina kept it together and was a pleasant person. I don't what it is but I think I have a special spot in my heart for Walgreens :) This Walgreens is located in the same plaza as Tacos Mi Pueblo and Panda Express on Rose Ave and Channel Islands Blvd. I came here for Redbox for my DVD renting and returning. Called and they said the medication would be ready at 7. I called again 730 to see if it was ready, they said 8. I was there at 8 and it wasn't ready and I've been waiting here for awhile already it's pass 830. Really dissatisfied and disappointed. I thought it would be reliable because of the drive thru and called in more than once to check. I gave two stars because the Hispanic lady was sweet. I decided to give this store a second chance and their customer service has improved so much.

Such a bright, clean store you need sunglasses inside. This Walgreen's just opened up somewhat close to where I live. I was a little confused why they would open another one when there is one like a mile away over on Vineyard but hey what do I know? Its right across the street from the Rose Wal-Mart shopping center. Its in the same shopping center as the new Cafe Rio, Urbane Cafe and Supercuts. (Directly across the street from St. John's hospital.) I stopped by here today because I needed a single item and I figured it would take wayyyy too much time to try and run into Wal-Mart. Walgreen's is not somewhere I usually shop, mostly because of the price of products...its almost like shopping at a cross between a Target and a 7-Eleven. Convenience comes at price you know...but still since it was only a single item I figured my time was worth a little more money especially to not have to navigate the horrible parking lot by Wal-Mart across the street. The store inside is BRIGHT. If I had stayed longer I would have needed sunblock. I guess this is for the people who like to shop there late at night so they do not feel like its super duper late. They did a great job with the store itself...everything is nicely put on the shelves and they had exactly what I needed. I stop here on occasion when I have extra time to kill in this part of town. The store is clean, well stocked and has wide isles. I was surprised at how tidy everything was when I visited tonight; even the children's toy area was nicely organized. This store always has a huge selection of holiday candy and today was no exception - one big isle of red and pink hearts for Valentine's day. I was surprised they still had some Christmas wrapping paper for sale (deeply discounted) but I like it when stores keep that stuff around and just keep discounting it until it sells. read more

Got an email confirmation that my phone was ready and came here to pick up before picking up the kid only to find out that one the guy who was working seems new and didn't know what he was doing so it took awhile and two it wasn't printed and that they were having problem. It was inconvenience to drive to a location and wasted gas to find out that it wasn't ready/or printed could of easily SAVED me a trip if they had the common curtesy since knowing their system is down to call and let me know they were unable to processed the orders vs letting me know the hard way. Pharmacy is probably the worst around. Went to pick up prescription told us it would be ready in a hour and 30 min. Went 2 hours later to pick up. Went through drive thru waited for over 10 mins then was told prescriptions were going to be another 20 min. Poor service read more

Walgreens is the MOST EXPENSIVE pharmacy in my area of Ventura County. Even using a discount card does not help in lowering the price. Why is it that a medication I require even with a discount card cost me over $93 for a 60-day supply when other pharmacies charge less than $40 with the discount card? In addition, I have pharmacy insurance and that did not lower the cost as my deductible has gone up along with the premium, go figure. In fact, CostCo (you don't have to be a CostCo member to use their pharmacy department) charged $33 for the same medication and 60-day supply, with the discount card. I would advise anyone to research before ever purchasing your prescriptions through Walgreens. If you don't want to use CostCo, from my research on a number of medications I take, it appears all other large chain pharmacies are less than what you will pay at Walgreens, at least in Ventura County. Also, I am finding it may be better to use the discount card rather than my insurance as it is doubtful, I will reach my yearly pharmacy deductible until close to the end of the year, if at all. read more

I had to give this place one star to be able to review it. If I could, I would give it zero. This pharmacy is the WORST. Horrible customer service, the pharmacists seem completely incompetent AND they take forever to process your prescription. If they're having a difficult time trying to keep up, perhaps hire more competent people or even more people to deal with the work flow. We are pulling all of our scrips from here and finding somewhere that wants our business. read more

They have lousy drive thru service! Long waits at the drive thru no one works the drive thru window it sucks!

Before Christmas the tellers let customers cut in front of line. I waited for a teller to finish with slow customer. The opened up other tellers they said next in line. They attended everyone behind me. Didn't give me a chance to be served. After Christmas, I did the same thing as everyone else, and they stopped me for cutting in line in front of others. I yelled at teller now, you enforce a line and make people wait... after Christmas.. You guys want money and not customer service. read more

This is the second time I've been treated this way. The first time it was on a workers comp injury doctor gave me a prescription of pain medicine three days later they finally filled my prescription don't know why it took so long, this time it was for steroid medication I dropped off the prescription at 10 A.m. and they told me to come back after 12:15 PM that my prescription would be ready then I came back at 1:30 PM and they told me that the prescription still wasn't ready that I had to wait 15 more minutes so I ran and took care of another errand and I went back at 2:30 the prescription still wasn't ready, So I told The clerk give me my prescription back and I took my prescription to Stan's drugs which they filled it in less than 10 minutes. I will never use Walgreens for any thing again there are too many other drugstores with way better customer service don't know how they stay in business. read more

Walgreens 2851 Rose Ave Oxnard 93033, I would give it less than 1 star if I could. I went in to get a prescription and the Pharmacy Tech. (PM) was very rude and sarcastic. I had a friend in the car who had just come out of St. Johns emergency who needed his medications badly. Explaining this to the PM she took a lackadaisical attitude and was sarcastic as I did not have the friends medical i.d. and keep in mind the ER at St. Johns had sent the script in electronically. Long story short after her sarcastic comments I told her she was rude and that I was to complain to Corporate about the lack of personnel and she said "Tell them maybe they will hire more people" Tha Pharmacist failed to intervene while six to ten people were watching. I don't want to play the race card but I think that because this is a Mexican hood they lack the interest in customer service. All Walgreens I have been to I have experienced bad service but this one takes the cake. Go to Rite Aid or better yet a private pharmacy you will get treated like a human being. By the way, after she made me go outside to obtain medical i.d from my blind disabled friend that couldn't even speak she magically found his ins. info. on the computer. The customer service at this Walgreens store is superior to the one at 2303 E Vineyard Ave., Oxnard, CA. The problem is management at the Vineyard Ave. store. When I walk inside, the employees seem really unhappy there. And when I deal with the manager and staff, I feel like I'm treated like an object -- not a human being. Really rude staff at the Vineyard Ave store. The store at 1801 N. Rose Ave is remarkably different. The staff there really seems to be happy. They are pleasant, helpful, and courteous. Shop here. Avoid the store on Vineyard Ave. The prices are the same - why shop somewhere will you are treated like an object? Poor service from the Pharmacy Department. Went to the store on 12/31 at 130. I was told that the pharmacists went to lunch at 120. A display on their window showed that they would return at 230. I returned at 230 and they the changed the time from 230 to 245 when I was told they take hour lunches. When I received my prescription I received one of my items when I should have received two. Instead of stating that my other item is unavailable when they called me to pick it up ( a week prior), they waited until I called and asked about it. I am very dissapointed. read more

Does not deserve even one star. Very poor customer service. They made me call my doctor for my prescription instead of the pharmacist calling because they said they're too busy. I called my doctor's assistant and explained her the situation which she responded that it's the pharmacy that should call the doctor's office to discuss any prescription issue. So she called the pharmacy and was on the waiting line for over 20 minutes and no would pick up. After I told one of the workers that my doctor's assistant is waiting for someone to pick up the phone then that's when they went and picked up the phone. The workers were rude and unprofessional. They acted like they didn't want to help and they hated their job. I've never experienced such unprofessional behavior especially at a pharmacy. They didn't even gave me an update after the pharmacist talked to my doctor's office. I waited for another 5 minutes (the whole time standing in front of the customer service counter) then I finally asked for an update then they said they got the prescription changed and it should be filled in an hour. Wow!! Who knows how long I would be waiting till I get an update.!! To save you some head ache and pain please don't go to this pharmacy. read more
