I think this location has the cheapest gas prices out of all the Costco's I've been to. I used to stop at the Santa Maria location to gas up on our way home, but found out that that location is one of the most expensive Costco in all of California. Their gas prices alone were $.60 higher than what I normally pay for in the LA area. The line to get to the pump definitely needs to be better as it starts to block off cars entering and exiting the parking lot. There's not a lot of pumps available and I think this is one of the few Costcos that still offers Diesel. They have a car wash onsite and you can purchase it for $7.99 at the pump. I didn't do the wash this time, but it's one of the few that has that service available. I wished more Costcos would have that option. read more

Costco gas is probably the cheapest gas in the area, but you have to be patient as the lines are most often very long. I always try to be patient with going to Costco, cause with the shopping, food court, and gas, you can spend several hours here just in lines alone. What I love about the Costco gas here is that you can tell based on the indicator lights if there's a spot available for you to pull up to and start pumping gas. The red indicator light means there's a car there, pumping gas. The green indicator light means the spot is available. You will be able to pull up the front, middle, or back gas pump. Personally, I hate when the middle gas pump is the only one available for me to drive into because it highlights my fear of parallel parking. Prices are better than others AND we get cash back on our purchases. When my friends moan about the lines, I reply that the longest line has never taken more than 10 minutes in/out, it's organized for traffic flow and I get cash back. So if your reading this your checking to see if the lines are worth the value and guess what they are. While everywhere else is charging $5 a gallon you'll see a 40¢ difference at Costco easily. The lines can get long but the quantity of pumps and the lanes that each row has makes it speedy. If Tesla owners wait an hour for a charge a fifteen min gas station visit is worth it . 24 filling stations, digitally marked red/green so you can pull up to an available one even if you can't quite see from the back. Ingress is a bit weird because you turn off a street to get in and it can get a bit backed up briefly, but then the line splits into two, which eases the congestion, only to reform back into one line before splitting into the different stations, of which there are three on each side of four large pillar-like structures. read more

Another great reason to be a costco member! There was a bit of a line here, but it moved super fast. The station has 4 rows of 6 pumps, so 24 pumps in all. The pumps are extra long and can reach your car gas opening, regardless if its on the left or the right, so always just take the first opening you can find (which will usually be on the left side since gas tank on the right is less common) Remember you need to bring your physical costco membership card so you can swipe it before filling. read more

They have very good prices for the fuel. Because of that, they are generally very crowded so if you live in the area it is probably best to get there early or near closing to avoid the lines. We recently found out there aren't too many Costcos while driving up north. We made a trip up to SB & on our way back needed gas & realized the closest one was in Oxnard. Hubby and I needed gasoline and have a Disability placard. It's difficult to get around. We really appreciate that the gasoline attendants pump gas for us, and especially now during pandemic as we try to limit our outings and contact! THE ATTENDANTS GET 5 STARS... they are amazing!! This is our favorite gas station. One of the attendants even recognizes us and knows what we want in the tank. The 1 star is for management because the attendant on duty today is being made to work while she is under quarantine! She had gloves and a mask. She asked us if we had something to wipe down credit card after she touched it because "she was under quarantine". Her son had tested positive for covid and she was told to quarantine since she was in contact with him. We were shocked that she was at work!! It is just like a regular gas station, except they do't sell mid-grade, you have to wait in line, you must be a member of Costco, and you save a few bucks. The prices are unbeatable! Do not worry what side of the tank your gas pumps align to. The gas hose is so long it can reach to the other side of your large truck. I personally do not mind the wait. The new design for the flow of traffic is a set up for a bottleneck of traffic. Other than that, the pumps are nice. Members can use a key fob to conveniently pay for gas. The safety speed bumps are there and they have lights indicating which pumps are available which I didn't really see the point especially when the area is packed with cars. There are plenty of pumps so the waits aren't too crazy long. read more

While visiting in Thousand Oaks we did a quick check on Yelp and found this gas station in the area. Costco and Sam's Club have always been one the best places to buy gas for our vehicles with their consistently low prices. This gas station was a little crazy to get to being that it was our first time there and had to slowly wrap around through Costco's immense, hectic parking lot only to get to their gas station and see multiple extremely long lines. It totally brought me back to the few times I had been to the Costco Iwilei on Oahu, who always had their lines backed up all the way into the street. Was driving up to Oxnard and happened to ''GOOGLE" costco gas, and luckily there was one right off the freeway. You don't see signs off the 101 but fortunately SIRI directed me to this Costco gasoline. Everything is pretty much the same in terms of Costco gasoline locations, (expect to wait at least 10-15 minutes or so...) But the gasoline prices here can't be beat. The one difference is there's a car wash here too! I didn't have time for a wash but there was a sign for $7.99, and it looked like it was a drive-thru system.
