I live in Sonoma. My prescriptions were transferred to this Napa store when Pharmaca here closed. Attempted to transfer my prescriptions to the local Safeway and found that it was effectively impossible to do since Walgreens refused to do the transfer. Need to have my Doctors send new prescriptions directly to Safeway. My Dr's office said that Walgreens has been a nightmare to deal with. Stay away from this company. They don't care about you or your health. read more

This store is difficult. When someone is sick and can not get out to get meds they have no solution except Fed Ex but not after 5 on Friday until the following Monday. I work in a Doctors office. No one at this Pharmacy will answer the phone and they don't have an option to leave voicemails. I have been on hold for over an hour between 2 days. Hire more staff and update your messaging system. Also your hold music and the voice coming up EVERY 10 seconds reminding me that I am on hold is annoying. read more

Rude and completely uncooperative. I have rarely encountered such unhelpful and unsympathetic attitude from a pharmacist ("Melissa ") in my 20 years as a physician working with community and academic pharmacists. I called to clarify a prescription that was sent electronically and the patient needed to pick it up a few days earlier because she was going to be traveling. God help the patients if this is how this pharmacy with such a simple issue from a physician (easily solved many times for me by many pharmacists on different occasions for different patients even when there is a serious rx like opioids involved in case the patient has a genuine need). If you go into healthcare it should be to help the patient not to get pleasure out of making things as difficult as possible. It's a real pity. read more

Pharmacy is always understaffed. Prescription refills (even when set to auto-refill) are always late. Avoid Walgreens at all costs.

Avoid if at all possible. I unfortunately am someone who depends on quite a few prescriptions, and I am constantly behind and having to jump through hoops and harsh harass the pharmacy just for them to fill my prescription a week late. I understand they have been understaffed but when I prescription is sent on Tuesday and I see no movement on Thursday and they tell me in person it will be done on Saturday. I return the following Tuesday to the prescription being out of stock, mind you if everyone wasn't passing the buck this had over a week to be ordered. The pharmacist can't tell me when they expect to have it ready, this is something I take daily and an currently out with no signs of when I'm have access to it again. When leaving I asked if I should be worried about the other two prescriptions they are working on and she responded with "I have no idea" mind you one of them is an antibiotic I cannot miss a dose. I so wish there was a better way to do this other then having to be at the pharmacy everyday just to be sent home empty handed. It's a full time job. read more

This is the worst pharmacy on the planet! The staff are all rude and disrespectful. The Pharmacist with blonde hair is incompetent and judgmental. They tell you come back to pick up and they still are not ready 2 days later. I whiteness them speaking down to a patient about pain meds loudly at the window and I happen to know she is a cancer patient. The girl at the desk said she was picking it up a day early and she was hateful!! Everyone (very long line) heard it!! They repeat your meds out loud for all to hear, disregarding hippa. Since they absorbed the Lucky customers, this place has been an unmitigated disaster. Lines are frequently over an hour long to pick up prescriptions. That is if you are lucky enough to get them filled. The waits on the phone are not any shorter. I have been fighting with them to get a prescription filled since early December and still have not gotten it. Their suggestion was to get it from a different pharmacy and I did try that. The pharmacist at Safeway said she would send the fax to have it transferred to them hours ago. She asked if I could call them to give them a heads up. She told me that Walgreens has kept her on hold for over an hour. I called Walgreens and when I finally got through, told them to expect the transfer request. She told me that as soon as Lucy's sent the request, she would transfer it, THEN HUNG UP ON ME before I could clarify that it was Safeway. As noted above, Lucky closed their pharmacy and sent them all to Walgreens. Hours later, Safeway had not heard anything so it is back on hold with Walgreens. The woman who answered said she never saw the fax. I explained that I just spoke with them and it was verified that they did in fact send it, hours ago. It turns out that she never checked the fax machine in the first place. She promised me that she will now and it will be taken care today. We will see if that happens. If it doesn't show up by tomorrow, I guess I will need to call my doctor and ask if they could send the script AGAIN , only this time, to Safeway. I am going to transfer them all, but wait until I have the time to go there myself to wait in that line and make sure they do it. It's a good thing that I am not on insulin. read more

I'm confused. Store window says Walgreens opens at 8 am, Yelp says they open at 8 am and Walgreens website says they open at 8 am but upon arriving at this location at 8:45 am the store is still dark. A few minutes of standing outside of the door with other confused patrons three staff arrive independent of one another and as people try to follow into the store the reception is not good - be patient, it isn't time yet - is it a change in policy that hasn't been updated anywhere? A staffing mistake where no one was scheduled for the opening shift? Maybe just part of the new cruelty policy. My daughter is 6 and was just released from Queen of the Valley after a near drowning experience leading to a lung infection and I really just want to take her home; we've been up all night. read more

Left this store today not sure if the person helping me was just extremely lazy or if I had just been the victim of some sort of customer profiling. I had a few items in my car that I purchased from the Walgreens in Pinole that I needed to return. Since I was in the area about to grab some groceries at Trader Joes I stopped by Walgreens to return the items. I told the lady at the counter I needed to make a return and handed her the receipt and she said "Pinole? I don't know if I can do this, give me a second." After staring at the receipt for a few more seconds she says in a rude tone: "All I'm going to be able to do is give you store credit". I probably should have asked why, since the receipt clearly states that items can be returned at any store (all I was returning was a few pens that rang up for more than I realized). I was so taken back by her tone and reaction though that I just said no thanks and left the store. I wasn't even getting cash back for the return, it would have gone back on my American Express. DO NOT SHOP HERE IF YOU ARE A MINORITY! I am 22 white female and my fiancé is a black male we have never stolen in our entire life we also both work in retail so we know theft happens a lot. But we came in to purchase some Disney villan cosmetics and I have never been so profiled in my entire life. I may not look average because I have colored mohawk and my soon to be husband is a black man with dreadlocks, we were the only customers in this store and they had the nerve to announce to security to scan the floor or do a floor check not only once but FOUR TIMES! They also deciede they had to check on us every 20 seconds. Isn't there a saying that you are honest until proven guilty? Well we don't steal and never had. The nerve they had to assume that we were stealing just based on how we looked. So me being the loudmouth girl I am I confront the lady ringing us up about it she lies and said they found "empty boxes of luburicant and condoms" I call bull shit. There was no one else in the store, and we were in there for probably 20 mins max. And I didn't see anyone else in that store except for employees. The employees also have no knowledge on their products or stuff in the store or where it is. And the cherry on top of this obnoxious experience the lady ringing us up had the nerve to say something about cards not going thru and having to be the "bad news bearer" AS I SLIDE MY CARD?!?! Um I work fulltime and I make good money. I'm an average working class/tax paying /bill paying citizen but because my hair is colored, cut weird, and I have a different style she thought I would not be able to buy what I wanted to buy. I did buy what wanted but the nerve these people have was awful I will drive 20 minutes away to th next nearest Walgreens. They can also be sure I will be calling their corporate offices as well. The pharmacy at this location presents a health danger to customers. I came down to the area to help my mom out after the sudden passing of my step-father. I have had to fill two prescriptions in two months. This has resulted in the need to correct numerous issues with the pharmacy. First, the pharmacy did not have up-to-date insurance information. I provided them with the numbers to both my mother's insurance company and her HR representative. The pharmacy refused to phone anyone and insisted that I would just have to wait for up to 10 days for their records to be internally corrected. Even when I had a representative of the health care company on the phone who would verify drug coverage for my mom they refused to speak to them saying that some middle man they deal with would have to correct an error in their system. Because their records were woefully out of date I paid for a partial prescription my mom needed out of pocket. Then, the next month when I picked up the renewed prescription, they only partially filled it because no one looked at the actual script and just saw the partial fill from the prior month. They were hostile and unwilling to correct the issue for more than 24 hours, insisting they needed to see the incorrect label on the bottle before issuing the right script. When I brought in the bottle, they didn't even look at it. The staff does not read and is unreasonable to deal with. AVOID AT ALL COSTS read more

I started my period and ran in to get some female things and I had it on my pants I ask the lady begging her if since I bought the tampons there I could please change my female emergency, and she said "No, sorry the bathroom isn't for the public. Only for employees." And I was mortified! Had to stop by a store in Napa which is pretty close to Walgreens and saw online that there was a discount for first responders, healthcare workers, on April 25th. We went in to get some necessities and the cashier and floor clerk were very helpful and we received the discount advertised! It made our day! Thank you!! I don't usually have a problem with this store, but I have noticed a pattern: every time I go to the cosmetics section and none of the employees are around, they'll make an announcement for "customer service in cosmetics"....Every. Single. Time. This totally makes me feel like I'm a target that needs to be watched over and it's ridiculous! Very uncomfortable and unnecessary. I'm going on a very long trip out of the country soon and wanted to take pictures with me for when Im feeling reminiscent of home. went to walgreens on trancas to use their photo center to print some out. I sat at the kiosk for 40 mins waiting for pics to load. and kept having to start over, and over.. and OVER because the cord kept 'disconnecting' from my phone. I got so frustrated that I just left and went to CVS on imola instead to use THEIR kiosk. I've used CVS's kiosk many times in the past, it works so much faster and it's easier to use. read more

Walgreens on Trancas, Napa, CA. I had confirmed with store rep of their schedule for my passport pic to be taken today and I was told by rep not past 9pm. I asked if I can be there by 9pm and she said yes, but not past 9pm. I arrived there at 9:00pm as I said I would and the same woman (short brunette) tells me it's too late! Her reasoning was that they where getting ready to close by 10:00pm witch makes sense, however, I had rushed to get there by their deadline and she refused to help me. Walgreens bills itself as the "Corner of Happy&Healthy." It's a clean, new store, with a panorama of photos of the Napa Valley on its outside. It goes for a hipster barn look. Its organization is kind of confusing. While CVS has regular sales regardless of whether or not one has their card, this one requires you be a member to get their sales. Walgreens tends to be pricey. They're nice, they're clean, but more expensive than most "convenience" stores. read more

I like Walgreens but their pharmacy sucks. The staff behind the counter gave zero customer service skills. I was in need of prescription strength eyedrops which I had no more refills for. They said they would send a request to my ophthalmologist to get it approved. Apparently they got the approval but never informed me. They called me this Monday and said "aren't you picking up your medicine?". I said I didn't know it was even ready. I said I can pick it up on Wednesday as I was not in town. I told them please do not put the medicine back as I desperately need those drops. I get to the pharmacy and of course they have put it back. So many times in the past several months, they never have my medicine ready, or they've misplaced placed it. Today I was prompted to write a review because I was so annoyed that this happens so frequently. If you ask for a pharmacy manager, the pharmacy manager is always apparently on a break. Photos came out okay. The lady helping me in the photo center was great! Only complaint was manager Nicole coming and interrupting . She asked so many questions of the associate I could no longer bite my tongue. My 5 minute visit turned into 15 due to the associate having to multitask I order to keep Nicole happy. Right before I am finished, another manager ( I think) came and without saying a word hovered over the counter. Poor associates, I feel for them having to work for management like that! read more

I have had a few pharmacists who won't call the other pharmacy to make the transfer before but it generally sets the bar of customer service expectation remarkably low. read more

This is the nicest pharmacy I have ever been to. The pharmacists care about their clients and are very helpful and informed. Their prices are as low as they can be, and their responsiveness is very efficient. They also text message when your prescriptions are ready. Overall a really good experience. read more

Went into Walgreens to buy a few things, as I approached the counter to ask a question about an item the person behind the counter pointed to the sales paper & walked away. Ok so I figured it's just one of those useless drones who hate their job and would like to be ANYWHERE but here. Upon finished shopping I again approached the counter where DEE DEE was standing there doing absolutely nothing and I handed her my Walgreens card to get my 5 bucks reward. She scanned the card and asked my zip code, I have moved 3 times in the past 3 years due to the fires and couldn't remember which zip code I used. She then said in a snotty tone " if you can't remember your zip code I can't help you" and with that she she rang up my purchase and refused to honor my card discount. Big deal $5.00. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or she is just naturally sour. DEE DEE is her name and she should be ashamed of herself for being so ridiculously rude. read more

I'm a local who used to frequent this Walgreens fairly often. This weekend, I went to return an item WITH A RECEIPT only to be told by "Cheryl" at the front counter that she would only give me store credit. I asked why, as I had paid cash, and she told me that the system wouldn't allow her to. I requested a manager and she crossed her arms, chicken necked her head and said "I AM the manager" with a stone face. Great! I figured I was stuck with the store credit if this was the person that could help and obviously wasn't going to do much for me but give attitude. She said if I wanted to speak to another manager I could come back. I did proceed to leave and figured I would come back later, but my daughter informed me that there was a manger there (she had spoke to him previously about a job) so I turned back and asked him if he was a manager...he said he was a supervisor but after explaining the situation, he was able to help and give a refund with no problem. Still standing, arms crossed...I did tell Cheryl that her attitude was horrible and she responded "NO its not" . HOW AWFUL!! How she was able to obtain a job in management is beyond me. I immediately did call the corporate office and complained about the poor service. I had never seen her there before, so Im assuming she came from another city...go back where you came from CHERYL ! read more

Bad experience at this walgreens today. I decided to go here for the first time and do my couponing. I only got a couple of things and the old asian lady cashier gave me the hardest time. I only had 2 manufacturers coupon on my hand and she didn't accept the other one for no reason. Also, I told her that i clipped some walgreens coupons online and added it on my walgreens card and she said it will get deducted automatically. But at the end of the transaction it never got deducted. This lady needs to get re-trained. She is super slow and obviously doesn't know anything. Why put her at the front to be a cashier when she gives the worst service. There were few people there that bought 1 or 2 items and it takes her about 15 minutes to ring up 1 or 2 items and it causes her to have a super long line. I just paid for my items and left. I do not even want to deal with her for just 4 items especially when there's a long line. Then you have the 2 younger girls at the aisles stocking and chatting about there personal life and they don't even know whats going on at the front. They never even offer me if i needed help with anything. Where's the manager in this place? The manager needs to make some changes in this store. It's a new store. Nice and neat. But worst service ever. There's barely any car in there. Maybe its just the employee's car. I think people of Napa already knows how this walgreen is so nobody really goes here. Not a good start for a new development. For those who does couponing/ extreme cuoponing, avoid this walgreens esp if that old asian lady is the only cashier you see. Im not a extreme couponist but i like to save money. Every little things help but if the employee doesnt even know whats the clipped coupon on the walgreens card and manufactures coupon and walgreens april booklet coupons then this place will be a waste of your time.
