They always promise that prescriptions will be ready at a time certain, but no matter if you arrive at the time they specify or afterwards, expect to wait at least 30 minutes. I had the best service at this Walgreens photo center! The staff was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me create a special photo booth for a retiring gift. I needed to get done fairly quickly and with special details. Yalie and Clide were amazing, these ladies really took care of making my photo book work. I agree with mostly what the fellow yelpers were saying, the parking is in an awkward place. I usually go into this place for like 1-2 items, in the morning, after work it is crazy. However, older woman, with short brown, provided me with the nastiest service this morning. I choose not to buy another set of pills. She huffs and puffs and says, "Why it is free-50% off?" I have a no tolerance for people throwing hissy fits and poor customer service in general. I looked at her for a moment and said, "No, I do not want them. Are you okay? Are you having a bad morning?" What a piece of ! This locations pharmacy has no concept of what customer service is or what it should be. They tell me my prescription would be ready in an hour, so I wait an hour and a half and when I get there, they can't fill the prescription. Common sense would tell you to call the customer to inform them, but no.... instead I have to find out when I get there. They have some young man with tattoos that is a complete moron that can't speak English. Then the actual pharmacist has an extremely heavy accent that you can't understand either. One of the worst experiences I've ever had, at a place that is supposed to provide pharmacy care for the sick. Terrible service, nobody speaks English and the pharmacy techs are RUDE. I needed an emergency prescription and they were able to work with me and my pharmacy in Oregon to get me what I needed and did so in a timely manner. I haven't had a pleasant experience ONCE at this Walgreens. I don't typically like chains of anything, but when it comes to pharmacies, I think Walgreens stands up to the rest of them. Because it's the closest one that has a parking lot, I choose to get my prescriptions sent here. Why I care about a parking lot when there is NEVER a space is silly in hindsight. The drive through, on multiple occasions and times, seems consistently 4 cars in length. The lines inside are always long, including at the front register. I have had ONE friendly staff when trying to pick up pictures I mistakenly ordered to a different Walgreens, but when searching for a specific non medicine remedy even the pharmacist couldn't help me. I asked someone stocking the shelves but of course they didn't speak English. (I decided to ask at another Walgreens in a different city and lo and behold the pharmacist came from behind the counter to show me AND pointed out a coupon I would have ordinarily missed, THAT'S customer service!) Because there isn't a more convenient - or maybe I should say CLOSER - location, I'll sadly stick to this one. But I won't enjoy it, dangit!! :) read more

One star may be an over statement for this location. I called hours ahead of time to have a much needed prescription filled and they assured the medication would be ready in one hour. 6 hours later I showed up to the location, on my 30 minute lunch break, only to find out they were out of stock and did not think to call to inform me of this information. Now I'm stuck in downtown traffic for nothing! They could have saved me a trip and the frustration, not to mention missing out on lunch, for this disappointment. read more

I thought this Walgreens was a godsend! I had never seen one with a produce section, so that was a first. I needed allergy medicine, and Kleenex, both of which were in abundance. I was through the checkout in 5 minutes too, so no complaints here! read more

Why do they hire security? the "security" usually patrols the tiny parking lot talking on their cell phone while homeless people beg for change by the front door. The only redeeming qualities are they have a Redbox for movies and are open 24 hours. read more

This post is specific to the pharmacy. The one and only time I've been inside to the pharmacy, I dropped off my prescription, asked for it to be filled, and sat down to wait. It was the busy time of the day - right after work, and the line was fairly long. The frustrating part was not only was the line moving incredibly slowly because only one person was working both the front and drive-thru line, but there were two other people that were casually filling prescriptions that could have jumped over to take care of the line for a quick 5 minutes to help reduce the wait. Additionally, any other pharmacy I've ever been to, they call you when the medicine you're waiting for is ready. When I waited over 30 minutes for that call, I went up to the front and they said that it's ready, but I had to get to the back of the line (another 25 minutes) to check out. Overall, pretty poor coordination with how to best serve their patients. read more

I only use this Walgreens for one prescription refill because it is a specialty medication. Pharmacy staff is terrific. They call me to remind me that my prescription needs to be filled. They are always competent and courteous. read more

Since it's been remodeled,there are employees that speak among themselves very loud ,sometimes from one aisle to the next, or from one side of the store to the other,sometimes they are gathered speaking loud and I have even heard vulgar language.I am Cuban myself, I had to tell them the other day, "lower your voice,we are not in Cuba", and the managers don't do anything about the employees being loud,they are loud themselves as well. I wish I could see a more professional atmosphere there. read more

Over the weekend I was having severe allergy symptoms from gritty scratch eyes to post nasal drip! It was horrific. I did some research online for specific allergy relief eye drops my eye doctor recommended. I took photos of the product I was interested in and called "my store" to see if the product was available before going because if it was not available it would be a waste of my time. After waiting on hold for over 20 minutes I got frustrated and hung up. This is very rude and poor customer service. The store is fairly close to my home so I figured let me just go to the store. When I got to the store thankfully the product was available. Although it took a while to find the eye drops. All the eye drops were not in the same location, some were by the nasal sprays and others were against the wall close to the pharmacy. Somewhat confusing.....Anyway, I got the eye drops and realized the price was over $2.00 more expensive than online. As I approached the line I saw a lady passing by with a manager name tag. I stopped and asked politely if the store matches the online price. She looked confused that I was asking such a question. She also gave me an uncomfortable annoyed look. I could feel my head wanting to explode! I wasn't feeling well, the store was busy with long lines and only 2 cashiers and the store manager had an unpleasant attitude. She then paused and said mam, we do not price match with our online store they are a separate entity. She further stated that she does not have the authority to match the price even if she wanted! WHAT! I couldn't believe the poor excuse I was given by a "store manager". I said well then I will have to reconsider purchasing this product at your store because other pharmacies would price match with their online store as well as other competitors. She then continued speaking and said the reason the online price is cheaper is because of the shipping costs so in the end the price is balanced out. I was probably turning red at this point out of anger and frustration. As I was about to turn around and leave, as I told her thank you for the explanation, it's good to know for future; I told her I am going to reconsider purchasing from this store. She said mam, you can buy the product and come tomorrow during the morning period and ask the manager if he can price match. I said mam aren't you a store manager? Didn't you just tell me you couldn't price match. I was so confused and already frustrated by the whole situation, I just put back the product and left the store. Out of principle I didn't purchase the product. The service was horrific and the reasoning, so why should I give my business! Thankfully, there is a cvs right around the corner. It hey had the same product and cheaper! I had a pleasant experience and the representatives were all helpful. CVS price matches with their online store and you can use the care card discount as well. Very disappointing walgreens! I was a faithful and loyal customer. Walgreens representatives should not treat their customers as such and also should clarify their price matching policy with their online and stores and train their representatives about their store policies and how to relay information to their customers etc. I have learned over the years it's not what you say but how you say it! Worse pharmacy customer service ever! They're never willing to go an extra step to work with the customers. Not empathetic at all! Instead if helping customers out they put all the burden on the customer to figure it out. After doing everything walgreens asked me to do, my insurance was still not covering the medication. The pharmacy tech gave me attitude and said there was nothing he could do and I had to call my insurance back and figure it out myself. I specifically asked if they had rejected my original prescription and filled the new one and he confirmed yes. I called back the insurance and they said 1 the pharmacy did not withdrawal the original prescription and 2 they filled the second one incorrectly. My insurance carrier was nice enough to call the pharmacy for me and give them specific instructions on how to process the medicine correctly and they still gave them attitude as well. Needless to say, I'm taking my prescriptions elsewhere. I'm done dealing with incompetent/unhelpful people at walgreens. read more

I noticed a disturbing trend, in three of the Walgreens Locations in 2 in Downtown Miami, and 1 in South Beach, I had two Clerks and even a 1 Manager Following me around the store as if I was going to steal something, It felt so inhumanly degrading and disrespectful for someone to follow me around like im a little kid unattended, How disrespectful to have a second shadow following you down every aisle. I was felt so violated and degraded I didn't want to continue shopping, How you going to be security and Clerk at the same time, Security would not even do that, please boycott this company until they are ready to make reparations for such behavior, Civil and Humans rights violations being filed and reported! read more

My sister went to buy something before me (she is from Ecuador )with my cellphone ,forgot my cellphone , i go to buy a gift card , my sister goes to Walgreens again, gives me my phone and the cashier takes it away from my hand and said it was a lost phone , she was rude, racist And called me a liar , i went to talk to the manager , they took me to the back of the store but inside in a place with no camera , and where no other customer was going to hear us talking , i demonstrate that the samsung s3 was mine , i had to take out my id with name and picture and show to that person that my name was in the main screen , she saw me mad and throw the cell phone to me , at least i catch it .I told them that i am not Going there again and i told them that i was going to write this, and they told me not to do it , but i told them that they cannot stop me , and i exit the store , please dont go to that Walgreens , until they close that place read more
