Pharmacy is the absolute worst. Nice people but why is there always 10 people in line. At 6pm, at 10:30pm. THE WORST.

If you absolutely, positively need a pharmacy and have no other choice, then go here. It's over-crowded, long lines and overwhelming. I went to pick up prescriptions and they couldn't find one which had been filled. IT TOOK THEM 45 MINUTES TO FIND IT. Pharmacy Department is EXTREMELY DISORGANIZED. I had a Moderna Covid 19 Vaccine appointment. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my appointment just to be informed by the pharmacist that he was going to finish the Pfizer Vaccine first and after he ran out of it he was going to put the Moderna vaccine. I asked him why do you have appointments available in your webpage if you are not going to provide the scheduled vaccine? He simply didn't care and told me to either get the Pfizer or re schedule. Always a terrible experience while using the pharmacy here. FYI to management, you need to better staff your pharmacy during peak hours, this is obviously an insanely busy location and a very saturated area. 1 pharmacy technician with 7 people in line inside and a whole line of cars wrapped around the building in the drive-thru is not going to work. Prior to showing up here, I was on hold for 17 minutes just trying to see if my prescription was ready. I'm surprised the poor pharmacy tech didn't walk out. Terrible! I rather drive an extra 15 minutes to another Walgreens than go to this one. read more

I was downtown and my period started unexpectedly. Went in here to get supplies. Before paying I asked if they have a bathroom. The cashier assured me it was open. However their bathroom was down. The only thing I bought was period supplies and I specifically asked about a bathroom; this woman knew why I was there. Now I have to waste more money to go into a restaurant and use their bathroom. This Walgreens is perhaps the worst Walgreens I have ever been to in my 54 years. The entire staff, led by the most apathetic pharmacist I've ever dealt with, is unhelpful, slow, and oblivious to the fact that the majority of their customers are either sick or in pain. I have been here while the pharmacist browses his phone, ignoring the fact that there is a line of people, five or six deep. I have watched as the staff goes into the back room and socializes and laughs with one another, while people await for help in line. I once called this to the pharmacist'a attention, and his response was "I got off duty five minutes ago." The fish rots from the head. This location needs to be thoroughly restaffed and retrained. Shame on Walgreens for allowing this kind of customer service. It's no wonder people are switching to services like Amazon pharmacy. Ironically, I had been a Walgreens stockholder for years. After my experience at this location, I sold all of my stock and invested it in Amazon. Evolve, or go extinct, Walgreens. Locations like this are the reason you will go extinct. read more

I don't review every Walgreens I visit but think this one deserves a special shout out! The pharmacy is open 24/7 and also has a drive thru which makes it really convenient. What has impressed me the most is the fact the pharmacists have gone out of their way on two occasions to call my physician themselves to get one of my regular prescriptions refilled. Normally, I have to do this myself but they do it without a problem! Such a relief. Apart from that, this Walgreens has everything else you've come to expect. Sometimes the wait can be a little long to checkout but often a beauty clerk steps in so you can check out with her. This area is prone to some interesting characters so you might run into that but overall, the pharmacy gets an A+ from me! read more

So today I finally decided to see a doctor, seeing as I am affected by the cold / flu plague that's affecting 89.99% of Miami and hot lemonade with Tequila wasn't cutting it. I ended up at this Walgreens as it is close to my doctor's office. While I was waiting for my meds (see below), I wandered around the store and saw they have a gourmet cofffee machine, a varied selection of pastries (Bear Claw and the like), as well as I believe a box for Dunking Donuts. Half of the back wall adjacent to the pharmacy is occupied by a frozen foods case. Some of the Valentine's Day decorations were also going up. The line at the pharmacy was LONG, as in going back into the over-the-counter product line. Still, to their credit, they delivered my prescription in just under the hour promised. Although the parking lot is large, there are times when you have to wait for a spot. Sometimes cars park in the concrete islands in the middle of the lot. Another area of concern is the bathroom. (DISCLAIMER: I know bathrooms aren't supposed to smell like Dolce & Gabbana). Still and all, although the bathroom is accesible by employee passcode - them punching in a number - the bathroom was a little foul smelling. They also were out of TP in the stall this morning. Still, I'll give them 3 stars since I got my prescription on time. I might upgrade one star when I feel better :) read more

It's a Walgreens, 'nuff said. As with every Walgreens, they have a pharmacy, and seemingly a little bit of everything you might need for most every area of your life from electronics to hardware, automotive supplies to holiday and seasonal items to groceries and kitchen goods to prepared foods and fresh coffee. They also have an "As Seen on TV" section, featuring those products. Of course, this Walgreens also has the usual staples of any good drug store - lots of over the counter medications, home care items and vitamins/supplements. The biggest drawback to this particular Walgreens is that they never seem to have enough parking during their busy times, and I notice people either lingering and waiting for a spot to open, or trying to park on the street or in the adjacent Publix lot. Amazingly, though the parking situation is poor, they do seem to try and keep the checkout lines moving here and do a bit of a better job at that than some other Walgreens locations. read more

Probably worst pharmacy in the town of Brickell. Pharmacy is extremely disorganized and nonchalant. There is no separate drop off or pick up window for prescriptions. Typically lines are close to 1 hour to drop off a prescription, then they tell you the wait time is 1.5 hours for them to be ready, but then you must join the line again for an hour to pick up the prescription. Given that this is a pharmacy and most people are in severe pain, a little bit more organization would go a long way, especially in a city that is so populated. read more

Do you need medicine? Don't come here. It's not just the location- it's the whole company. I've spent 2.5 HOURS on hold yesterday and 45 minutes today. They won't confirm my insurance and I needed my medication yesterday. Waste of time and dangerous if you really need your medicine. Someone hung up and said, "Sorry there's 12 people ahead of you." This place is worthless. In 10 minutes I got the doctor to switch to another pharmacy so I could actually get my medicines. This used to be my pharmacy for over 10 years. This is absolutely the worst Walgreens in existence. I have never gone here without waiting 45 minutes for my prescription and then having some issue that I can't pick it up. Terrible service not enough staff to handle the volume at any checkout. I've never seen less than 10 parties in line with typically 1 person working. Avoid if you can, go to CVS or get your meds delivered (btw they pretend to offer delivery through the app and have you prepay then say they don't offer it at this store which is ridiculous!). read more

Yes it is convenient that it is 24 hours so that's helpful! However, it's really slow and under staffed so just be prepared to wait a really long time. Not good for if you're in a hurry but yes good for when you're in a pinch during weird hours as they'll be open! read more

Horrendous pharmacy service. I've finally transferred my prescriptions. The convenience of being within walking distance is just not worth the mistakes (with prescription medicines?!?!) and the nasty attitudes we've had to endure from the dumb pharmacy techs. Additionally, waiting in the drive-thru or inside for over 40 minutes is NEVER ok. SO, PEACE out! Don't get me wrong there are two pharmacists who are completely competent and professional, but they aren't enough to keep me coming here. There are only two things that I'll go to this Walgreens for: 1) a redbox movie or 2) something from the cosmetics section (the lines aren't ever long in cosmetics). Typically I heart Walgreens. Their locations are super-convenient, the staff is friendly & they have a pretty good selection of the things I need. THIS Walgreens is a disaster. The parking situation is awkward, but I typically walk so that can be overlooked (for my purposes). The store doesn't seem as clean as the other Walgreens I've been to, the staff is perpetually grumpy & the lines are long. Today, I went to pick up a band-aid for the tip of my finger. Not only did the staff dismiss my question about whether or not they had the type of band-aid that I wanted, the girl working the floor actually railroaded me away from my browsing so that she could unload some boxes. At Publix, the stockers refill the shelves at night, when the store isn't packed & during the day the staff is available to help customers find what they're looking for quickly. When it came time to pay, you would have thought I asked the checker to give me money... she seemed THAT annoyed to have to ring up my band-aids. I did not let on that I was annoyed with anything at the store, simply told her to have a nice day & left. I have never seen such an unpleasant group of employees in my life. Even if I have to drive, I won't go back to that Walgreen's. read more

Overworked, Understaffed, Inept Pharmacy. The review I write is about the pharmacy at Walgreens, not so much about the rest of the store. To be fair, the Walgreens should have received a 1 star, but I have to say that the rest of the store is well stocked, even though it is expensive. As for the pharmacy, this is the most inept operation in the entire city of Miami, which for us locals says a lot. There is not best time to go pick up a prescription because one of two things happen: A) You go and there is a line of about 15 people waiting to pick up prescriptions. You notice that about 2/3 of the people have the same issues: where's my prescription, I called it in yesterday/this morning/more than enough time to have the prescription filled/ and magically Walgreens has no record of them calling it in. By the time you get to the front of the line, you can be assured that they didn't fill one of your prescriptions, they give you a completely different drug (it's happened), or they forget to run your insurance card and all of a sudden you have a $1000+ bill. B) You see that the line is too long so you decide to go out to your car and get on the drive through. You think it's a faster way to go, like what Cynthia says, but you wind up spending 20 minutes wasting gas sitting in your car. At least you are sitting. 10 am - 2pm - 5pm - 8pm - 3am. No matter what time I go, there's always a line and there's always some adventure with prescriptions being screwed up. It got so bad I moved my scripts down the way to the CVS off of 8th street. The only reason I believe this Walgreens stays in business is because it's open 24 hours a day, while the CVS closes at 10. read more

How can a store that we rely on and visit frequently be rated so low? Well here is an example. Walgreens has texting capability to see if you want to fill your prescription. It texts me, I say yes. It says it is r day for pickup. Knowing how sloppy this pharmacy is, I still call to see if it is ready, pharmacist says yes. I walk there, and of course it is not ready and I have to wait 15mins because it's is not ready. Walgreens, why go through building all these systems if they break down at the process level in the store? Maybe better change management is needed while you are rolling out your digital initiatives. read more

That's it. I've had enough. I've been coming to this Walgreen's for over ten years as I live in the Downtown area. Yes, the address is convenient. But waiting in the drive-thru for over 45 minutes is NOT. The line inside isn't any better. Yesterday I waited over 35 minutes. They now have it roped off because they needed to keep their ever-growing waiting lines in more order. They are overcrowded and understaffed. Yesterday was my tipping point. I've been saying to myself every time that I'm going to switch pharmacies for over five years, as I saw the wait times and service getting worse as time went by. Well, yesterday I dropped off my children's medication at 2pm, was told they would be ready at 3. Husband waited in the drive thru for over FIFTY minutes, and was told they "didn't have it", but could call around different Walgreen's to see if they could find the meds (they couldn't). Why wasn't I told they didn't have it to begin with? Two hours of our time wasted, while my kids were at home sick with fevers. That's it - I'm trying out Continental Pharmacy on 8th street, I've heard good things, and they DELIVER. See that Walgreen's? That's another customer lost. Note to Walgreen's sales & marketing department: you've got more demand in this area than in any other I've seen around, so build another a few blocks away and you'll have happy customers. The only reason why they even get a star is because their store (not their pharmacy!) is well stocked. I'll keep going for last minute things that I need, since they are open 24 hours a day, but for pharmacy needs, I'm outta there. read more

I like that this Walgreens has a large parking lot, 24 hour pharmacy as well as a drive-thru pharmacy, but.. The parking lot is usually packed after 5pm and people park in the most random places often blocking your car in -- annoying! Also, if you're waiting in line to pick up a prescription, give yourself at least 20 minutes ( bring a good read, write a yelp review...) because the staff there are extremely slow.. and the drive through? Don't even bother. Aside from that, the pharmacy techs and pharmacist are all very friendly and I understand that they may be swamped at times since there aren't many 24/7 pharmacies in the area, so I'll give them a little credit there. read more

I'm on a roll with my negative reviews today! I guess I'm trying to offset all the great reviews I had left over the last few days. This is my neighborhood Walgreens and its AWFUL. Poorly organized, they never have many of the same items any other Walgreens has, the staff has no idea what they're doing, and at any given time of day, yes even late late at night, the line to the cashier wraps around the store. I have no idea WHY! Maybe because the cashiers are so stupid it takes them a year to ring one person up. Either way, I gave them 2 stars because its still a Walgreens and I can usually find what i need, although as I mentioned before their stock is hit or miss. After waiting by the photo counter for well over 10 minutes, while the cashiers ignored me completely, I asked "are you going to continue to ignore me?" Answer was "did not know you were waiting" ... "I'm not the manager so I don't care" was the answer to the following question "is the photo area closed? If so, why isn't there a sign?" Best part, "I'm not the manager, so I don't care". I went to this Walgreens Store looking for a Hard to Find Product that the website said the store had in stock. Four different Clerks looked for the product including the Pharmacist who found it on his computer and were not able to locate it. Most of them were very quick to say, "Sorry we don't carry it" -- even after I said the Walgreens website says it is in stock. Just before I was about to give up and was being told by a Manager that they didn't have it, I looked to the left of his head and saw the product on the shelf. I am surprised that a company the size of Walgreens doesn't have a better method for their employees or customers to locate products. Parking is sometimes problematic at this Walgreens. If the lot is full, there is metered parking on the street. read more

I will be traveling to Miami tomorrow and just so happens my prescription refill is tomorrow on a VERY important medication that I need to know if they have or not. I was just on hold for 35 minutes after a lady picked up the phone and said "hold" and never answered. Well, you should have answered. Here's your latest 1 star review. Learn customer service and maybe you won't be one of the worst rated Walgreens in the entire Miami area. If I could give zero stars I would. The pharmacy is not that busy at 11 p.m. EST. 35 minutes is completely unacceptable. The other pharmacy thankfully was able to answer my question in 3 minutes because they seem to know what they're doing. read more

The most disgusting treatment by a pharmacist I have ever experienced. He ran my prescription for Percocet through the system and told me bluntly in my face he refuses to fill the prescription because according to the computer and his "professional" opinion I was abusing the drug. This happened on the 3rd of January 2018. Pharmacist name is Ariel V. Lodging a formal complaint about this humiliating, degrading experience. I recently had to refill a prescription again after going to CVS the night before. I was amazed at the selection of items sold at Walgreens -- from home items to grocery items. So if you live in the Brickell area, Walgreens could be a convenient substitute for Publix, Target, Home Depot, Office Depot and the pet store. Another tip: If you see a long line at the pharmacy counter, go back to your car and go through the drive thru. As I grabbed my refill, I saw that the person who had been ahead of me in line was still waiting. Sucker! read more

Clean store with well-stocked shelves. Great for folks on the road because they have the travel-size items for cheaper prices.
