Unfornately, the VA said I had to switch to Walgreens Pharmacy. The pharmacy on the G St. Walgreens is the worst. Can't ever fill a prescription the same day. When you go back at the time and day the say, I still have to sit and wait. Heaven forbid you have a prescription for a pain meds. The new pharmacy manager assumes everyone is a drug addict. I get hassled every time. I have had to go back to the pharmacy as much as 5 times in 2 days. It's a disorganized mess. I have talked to the old store manager. New store manager. 2 assistant managers. Basically they have no control of the pharmacy manager. Don't get on his wrong side. He'll make your life miserable!!!! read more

Grossly incompetent pharmacy department. I switched doctors due to a change in insurance and told them to send in the prescription requests to my new doctor, rather than my old doctor. Well, they sent in all three prescription requests to the old doctor, who rejected them, so I called in and told them to send the prescription requests to my new doctor - explicitly naming all three prescriptions, and explicitly telling them (again) not to send any more requests to my old doctor. So they sent one prescription request to the correct doctor, sent the other prescription requests to the old doctor - who rejected them again. By this time, my new doctor was out for Thanksgiving, so I needed an emergency fill to get through the holiday without suffering withdrawals, and explained the situation to them. But they initially refused, saying "the doctor has rejected requests for a prescription". In order to get the temporary fill, I had to raise my voice. When I unexpectedly ran out of another medication, I called them only to find out that they had filled it in error. I told them "I'm done" and hung up. read more

This pharmacy has become the joke of the town. They will tell you that they are waiting on the doctors fax when they've had it sitting there for days. Your supposed to call a couple of days before your prescription runs out. Kind of hard to do when they don't answer their phone and your put on hold for 30 minutes and you still have 3 people ahead of you. HAHA!! Called my doctors office to tell them what is going on and that I needed my refills before Monday due to vacation. They said I was the 5th patient that had called them about not getting their refills all in the same morning. It's excuses, excuses one right after the other. My doctor had ALL of my prescriptions changed over to Rite Aide and then called me back and said they would be ready in 30 minutes. Thank you to my doctor for doing this for me. I do not know what Walgreens problem is but my doctor mentioned filing a Class Action suit against them. I'M IN!! read more

The pharmacy is my biggest problem! They are so f**king rude! Please excuse my language but I'm beyond furious!!!!! I no longer get my perscriptions at walgreens anymore all because the women they have in the pharmacy are so freakin rude!!! That's the nicest thing i can say about them! They act like they hate their job! Maybe they do but sorry hunnies you should have went to school for something else then! Not mu fault! Do something you actually like! Ugh! I go to cvs now all because the girl with tattoos all up her arm was so rude at me and gave me wrong information and said well what do you want me to do about it? I was so mad i told her what i wanted her to do, In a way so bad I don't want to repeat but my mom still gets her prescriptions there so sometimes i go pick them up for her and the girls there are so much of bi**hes it drives me crazy and management doesn't seem to care. I've been going to Rite Aid across the street and thought MAYBE tonite this would be quicker??? So i tried it out. My 15+ minute trip inside consisted of LESS than 5minutes grabbing Red Vines & Ice for my sick 10yr old ( a RARE candy treat for him) & 10 minutes of my standing at the checkout counter looking for someone to take my $$. Melanie then came rushing in from her shopping cart run out of breath and exasperated about seeing someone at her register. Rather than apologize or explain - she was RUDE then was snippy about my ice - (i couldnt find it she sighed & told me what isle, then was annoyed when i asked if she could ring it then id grab on my way out - NO, It must be scanned, but was very thorough when she scolded me for not having a savings card and nor wanting one at that point. Point is - Rite Aid directly across the street is also open 24hrs as is their pharmacy and I will be giving them my business going forward read more

Seriously the worst pharmacy that I have ever dealt with. The pharmacist didn't agree with the dosage that my PHYSICIAN wrote on the prescription. My physician's staff spoke with her twice advising her that they spoke with the doctor and the prescription was correct. She still REFUSED to fill the prescription. The head chief medical officer also called to try and straighten things out. He was on hold two different times for longer than 30 minutes each time. My physician's office finally got a hold of another one of the pharmacy staff, and she advised that she would fill the prescription. We arrived 30 minutes later and the original crabby pharmacist said that no one had spoken with my doctors office and that she was refusing to fill the prescription. My physician then called in the prescription to the Rite Aid across the street, and they filled the prescription, no questions asked, within 20 minutes. They also said that the way the prescription was written was standard and that I should've had no problems filling it! So rather than having my sick child home resting, we were out running around until 9 o'clock at night trying to get his medicine. The pharmacist was beyond rude and needs to put her ego aside! If you value professional, efficient, and friendly service... Avoid this place at all costs and head to Rite Aid across the street! read more

Horrible customer service in the pharmacy. If your looking for cheap, even Walmart offers superior customer service and better prices. I think I'll move my business up to El Portal Pharmacy just up the road or Raleys. read more
