I came in and saw the prices on one of the dyes and it said $10.99, later when it was rung up it was $17. I asked the lady working if I could use my $5 coupon and she said it wasn't on that account, I kindly asked her if she could just simply use the other account and she sighed saying, "But i'd have to go back". so i want to remove red dye from my hair that was already faded out. i asked the lady with bleached and blue hair how i should do this? she recommended color removal and a certain dye. i spent a solid 50$ on all of it, hoping that it would work, i did it and then my hair color didnt even come out and it ended up just bleaching my whole head.. i tried to apply the dye after hoping it would work.. and then my whole head of hair was bleached? don't take advice from them. although i did go back the next day with a complaint and the manager (she was so sweet) gave me free products and ended up going back red. read more

Right now this is what they get after giving me the wrong product for Mt daughters hair. I specifically told them I wanted silver, well she just got done doing the section of her hair and guess what it came out purple. They gave me a purple one not silver like I had asked. I know which lady did it to. Now tomorrow I will have to go and file a complaint to them about this. They said the 2 things could either be used as half a bottle or the full bottles. I came in to purchase hair dye but instead I'm listening to "Megan" be rude as f*ck to the girls up at the front counter asking questions about items they are trying to purchase. Per verbatim she said to them, "If you would let me finish, I could explain to you but you don't stop talking." What kind of service is this. The other young girl asked what purple shampoo did and was rude to her as well. I walked out and didn't buy anything, I wouldn't want to buy anything from your pink haired rude ass. Never had I heard someone be so condescending. We come ask questions because you're supposed to be the expert and PROFESSIONAL but Megan you are the farthest from that. This service is horrible. The cashier was rude. There is a sign on the door that states 6 people can enter at once. There was 4 including the working in the back. she wouldn't let us enter. Awful customer service. I asked about exchanging an item, the lady who seemed to be the manager was very rude. She began yelling "No, No, No" when another employee was about to let me exchange my hair color. I told her no one informed me when I bought the color it couldn't be returned and she began go give a snarky attitude as she pointed to the tiniest sign with the smallest print and said "it's posted right here". Not once did she speak to me directly. This is why I never go to the Sally's in Merced. The customer service here is awful and honestly they need to be shut down or corporate needs to clean house and replace these employees because they are loosing business. I drive 45 minutes to get to the Merced store it says they open at 10:00am I arrive at 10:18am and the doors are locked and nobody's inside. Not a way to run a business. Due to COVID-19 there is a horribly made, hard to read sign out front of this store that says, "Wait 4 entry." I waited outside for a few minutes and I saw a female walk in before I had even begun my wait. I thought, "Interesting. Considering the sign says wait." Maybe they forget to put the sign away. So I waited another minute outside and another female walked in. So I opened the door behind her and she says, "Yeah next time read the sign outside and wait for entry." To which I say, "Oh. I'm sorry I saw two other people walk in before me and I didn't know you were employees." I start to walk back outside to wait for entry. She says nevermind and allows me in. I asked her a question about my hair color and what she thought I should purchase and she was less than helpful. I walked to the hair color section and she proceeded to talk about me to another customer and the other employee. I could hear everything. I paid for my items while she herself and the other employee tried to make small talk to me at the register. All I can say is TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I understand during this time things are unusual and we are all trying to work through this and I understand customers can make you upset. I wasn't purposely rude or meant to disregard the sign. Needless to say, I'm glad I don't live in Merced and will never be returning to this store. The girls that work here are really awful. My friend and I came in to ask about dyeing her hair from dark brown to a lighter color, and no one could be bothered to help us. There were boxes everywhere to the point where we couldn't even walk around the store. When we final got someone's attention she basically told us we were idiots for trying to dye her hair lighter and we needed a professional because we weren't capable of doing it ourselves. I enjoy going to this Beauty Supply for my beauty supplies. The staff is very helpful and they have what I need. As a licensed professional, I am happy that Sally's sells to the non licensed consumer as well. I'd rather my clients use sally's product instead of the store bought product as Sally's is the closest to salon product and is more easy to maintain once your in my chair if having to fix your color. The staff is very helpful. If your not sure about something, I recommend just asking one of the ladies that works there. Poor stocking & poor customer service! After trying 3 times I was finally able to find the product I was looking for. The first 2 times I was referred to come back when the "truck came in". Only once was I able to do this & after arriving mid day on the day I was told to come in, I was told to come back again in the morning because they didn't open the boxes until the evening. I came in a couple days later & only 2 were left on the shelf. Since my 20% off coupon expired I planned on using my $5 off $25 & stock up on the product, since apparently they don't order enough to keep it on the shelf. Two bottles were not enough though so I asked the cashier if I could use my 20% off coupon since it had only expired 2 days prior & this was the same employee that I had spoken with during every visit. It seemed to me that it would have been the right thing to do in retail since they didn't have the product on more than one occasion & if they had I would have been able to use my coupon.
