I've been seeing Dr. Propes and the team at the Dental Spa for a few years now and have always had a great experience. Recently, I had extensive crown work done to address older dental issues and repairs from past dentists. Dr. Propes put together a clear restoration plan focused on a long-term solution and not just a quick fix. The entire process was explained well, I felt comfortable the entire time, and the results exceeded my expectations. I've always been self-conscious about the condition of my teeth until now, thanks to the amazing work done by Dr. Propes and his staff. Everyone in the office is friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. If you're looking for a dentist who does excellent work and truly cares about their patients, I highly recommend Dr. Propes and the Dental Spa. read more

We are so grateful to have found Dr. Propes and to trust him with our care. His front office staff is knowledgeable and warm, and his assistants clearly take great pride in the quality of their work. read more

I can't say enough good things about The Dental Spa at Propes! Dr. Propes and the entire team deliver a level of service that's truly a step above--far beyond what I've experienced, even at top offices in the Bay Area. The staff is incredibly attentive and genuinely pleasant, creating a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable (yes, even at the dentist!). Dr. Propes' attention to detail and care for patients is unmatched. My smile has never looked better! I actually enjoy coming here to get my teeth taken care of--and that says a lot. The experience is so exceptional, I'd gladly make the drive from Paso Robles just to be seen here. Highly recommend The Dental Spa at Propes if you want top-tier care with a smile. read more

The hygienists always take such good care of me when I'm due for a cleaning. They're very diligent about making sure your next cleaning is booked with them. Which i love so i can have it in my calendar ahead of time. Dr. Propes is a great dentist. He did 3 crowns on me and a couple filling. My teeth were a mess before i started going here. But he was so understanding and his staff was very easy to work with and helped me understand every step of the procedure. I'm very thankful they still take my insurance here! The atmosphere is very chill not like a normal dental office at all. Highly recommend. read more

My dentist retired in the Bay Area and I am in a search to find a solo practitioner who is reputable in the city and County of Merced. I called many offices. This Dental office puts his patients first ! read more

my girlfriend went here and she was so excited. she came back from the appointment and when i asked her how it went she wouldn't elaborate with me. i initially shrugged it off thinking the appointment went fine and she's booked in a couple weeks. when hours later she opened up to me and said she's hurt and disappointed because they were totally and completely rude to her! they told her mean things- she said they were rude to her until they found out she had the insurance to cover the cost and their demeanor completely changed and they started acting somewhat decent. she's going to be cancelling her appointment due to feeling unwelcome by the employees. do better! read more

I absolutely recommend Dr.Propes. I came to his office because I wanted my front teeth fixed I had struggled for years and was self conscious about my smile. He was very thorough and what I loved about the whole thing is I never needed pain meds or antibiotics after treatment. He fixed my smile and the lab they use to create your new smile is AMAZING! Great staff, they are all very friendly. I have never loved a dentist office until I came here! read more

Dr. Propes is amazing. He's been my dentist for a while now, and has always said he treats his patients like family. Well, today he proved it. My two boys (3 and 5) collided, and my five year olds front tooth was not looking good. He was in pain and I didn't quite know what to do. I called Dr. Propes, and he said he'd stay after hours to work on my kiddo. When we got there it was just him and his assistant, and they were about as friendly as could be. They did a fantastic job explaining to my son everything that was going on, in a way a five year old could understand. After the amazing care Dr. Propes has given my family, I will be actively recommending him to friends and family. Thanks again Dr Propes! read more

I went to Dr Propes for a tooth that has been bothering me. I was told 2 years ago that I would need a procedure from another dentist but was hesitant to do so. Dr Propes explained what needed to be done he was very thorough and patient. He made me rethink the procedure that I have avoided for 2 years he also called a colleague to get me in the same day. He went over and beyond to get things rolling. The office is clean and the staff is nice and professional I'm so happy I found this office. Thanks everyone!!! read more

The Dental Spa is awesome. Dr. Propes and his staff are totally professional and provide the most outstanding dental care.

Andrew Propes is the best dentist! First, his staff always greets me by name when I walk in. I never wait more than 5 minutes to get in the dentist's chair. I once had a tooth ache and the staff was able to get me in that same day. When it comes to payment they are always very willing to work with you. I trust dr. Propes and his opinions a lot and I'm glad I found him. Highly recommend!!! read more

I have been going to Dr. Propes for years and I have no complaints! He and his staff are amazing! Truly friendly, honest and professional! Best dentist ever. My mom works for the top ortho in town and they recommend all their patients to him. The previous comment sounds like they added some drama to their story to make their side sound alot better. They are always so kind and know you by name when you walk in. Never waited more than 5 mins in the waiting room and always worked on the min I sit down in the chair. read more

Great all around! I am completely impressed by Dr. Propes, Dr. G, and the rest of the staff at the Dental Spa. The service from all of the staff is some of the best I've ever experienced. I truly appreciate that Dr. Propes has a sense of humor and will joke with you, it took my mind off of my nervousness during a recent procedure. Thanks Dental Spa! read more

I was looking for a new dentist in the Merced area and came across Dr Propes and decided to give him a try. The receptionist was awesome! She mailed me the patient information packet but when I lost it she was very understanding. I was given a tour of the office which I thought was a nice touch. My dental hygienist was super friendly and made my teeth feel amazing! Dr Propes went over my xrays and was very thorough. He is very friendly and made me feel welcomed! Afterwards I talked to the billing specialist and normally that conversation is very dry. She was absolutely a delight! I highly recommend this dentist, you will not be disappointed! read more

Do not go to this dentist if you value your teeth!!! I had gone in for a quick checkup and tooth pain. The staff was pleasant however I waited for 30 minutes in a dentist chair before he came in. He checked my teeth for 10 minutes without doing x-rays, then proceeded to tell me that it was my sinuses causing the pain. I waited 1 week before heading back to my old dentist which is out of town. Almost at once the dentist identified severe damage with a large crack and should have been easily noticeable. Due to Dr. Propes incompetence I ended up with a large bill and a great deal of pain. When confronted before going to my old dentist about the continuing and worsening pain I was asked to leave his office if I didn't trust his opinion. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

I was referred to Dr Propes by a coworker for my 8 year old son who has a fear of dentists. My son thinks Dr Propes is wonderful and has over come his fears! After having a tooth pulled my son proclaimed excellent dentistry! Now my whole family goes to Dr Propes! As for the review by Okami I find her claims hard to believe. The first thing Dr Propes did was X-rays and a exam when we had our first visit. Dr Propes is a excellent dentist and maybe Okami has some sort of grudge against him. read more

I am a fairly new patient of Dr. Propes, and I am ecstatic about finding such a great dentist! He and his staff are so friendly and kind, and made me feel welcome from the get go. The office is exceptionally clean and sterile, and I found the staff to be very knowledgeable in their jobs. Dr. Propes is the absolute best! He is friendly yet professional, and exceptionally thorough. He made me feel completely comfortable while working on my mouth. I have the utmost confidence in him, and honestly, this is the first time I've gone to a dentist and gotten home and my mouth doesn't hurt! I love his work and have NEVER been happier with a dentist. read more

What a beautiful facility with a professional and courteous staff. It was so easy to make an appointment and be seen. I am normally very hesitant going to the dentist but Dr. Propes made me feel comfortable, and not only eased my anxiety, but fixed my smile and made sure I left the office very happy. I'll definitely be back, I've never had a better experience in a dentists chair. read more

Best crown EVER! Thanks you guys. Nobody can tell which one is the crown on the front tooth. Good stuff.

I'm shocked at the other review. My daughter and I both use their services and are extremely happy with the results.I I have also referred 2 of my friends who were very happy with their services as well. I really can't imagine that he would offer an opinion without ex-rays. I find him to be very accessible and indeed, they do treat their patients like friends. My daughter had extensive work that needed to be done and it was scheduled and completed in such a way that we only had to pay about $85 out of pocket. The first dentist that she chose would have charged almost $1200 not including the $2200 that insurance paid for the same work and when she went for the first part, he didn't numb it sufficiently and caused her a lot of pain. The first dentist I went to spoke very rudely to me and couldn't keep his hands off the assistant. They respond well to questions, explain everything, show you photos, and thoughtfully come up with a good plan. I found the same for myself. Dr. Propes works quickly and efficiently and neither of us has ever had to wait over 5 minutes for anything. The person who cleaned my teeth did a very good job. In every way, they convey that they care about good dentistry and their patients. read more

Yes, this is as good as it gets! The staff are professional and very welcoming. Most important is the excellent quality of dentistry received from Dr. Propes. (Thanks are due to our previous DDS that referred his patients to Dr. Propes when he was out of town -8+ yrs ago) Dr. Propes is very conscientious. ---He is a perfectionist--- His first concern is your dental health, as a bonus he excels at aesthetic dentistry also. read more

I have an irrational and debilitating fear of the dentist and in the past I have gone years and years with tooth pain because I'd rather eat ibuprofen and live on lukewarm broth than have someone stick their fingers in my mouth. I am so, so, so grateful that another dentist who couldn't handle my neurosis referred me to Dr. Propes because he has a lot of experience (and patience) working with cry babies like myself. He and his staff are the BEST. I never have to wait more than a couple minutes - which is good, because I'm a runner. They never try to make me get procedures I don't need and always show me my x-rays and hide the scary tools. Everyone is very sweet and I always feel safe - even when they put on those masks and I start crying uncontrollably. Thanks to Doc Propes and his crew (and their nitrous), I may actually get to keep these teeth and not have to get dentures by the time I'm 40! read more

Dr. Probes is the best dentist! I was referred to him by my orthodontist for a tooth implant. Long story short I switched over to Dr. Probes. He became my dentist and my son's. His staff is always friendly and I recommend everyone to him. I have had a handful of people switch over to him. He does care about his patients and if you have any dental issues he always takes his time trying to figure out what it is that is bothering you. read more

My old dentist retired and dreaded looking for a new dentist, but am so glad my dentist retired since I found Dr. Propes office and his staff! I have never felt so welcome in a medical surrounding before til now. From the pleasant phone call to meeting the hygienist. I also received the most thorough exam and cancer screening. Going into this office it truly seemed like everyone loved their jobs and were happy to be there. Crazy as it seems I'am looking forward to getting a filling. I would definitely recommend Dr. Propes to my friends and family!!! read more

Our family has been going to Dr. Propes for years. Everyone in the office treats us like a friend. I grew up with bad teeth and needed a lot of work. I have spent hours in the dental chair and because of the wonderful work that Dr. Propes does I feel confident with my smile today. The front office has worked with us financially and I've always been seen within 5 minutes of my appointment. We will continue to go to the Dental Spa for years to come because of the wonderful people that work there and the quality of work done by Dr. Propes. If you saw the before and after of my smile I think it would be fair to say he's more than a dentist, he's an artist!!! read more
