Used to work here for about 8 months and honestly, it wasn't a great experience. We were constantly short-staffed, and I kept getting scheduled way past my availability even though I was a full-time college student at the time. The management just wasn't good (the manager I dealt with doesn't work there anymore, but I have been told that the new one isn't any better), and I was talked down on quite a bit. It came to a point where I realized they just had no respect for my time or for me as an individual, so I left. If you're thinking about applying, I recommend reconsidering your options. I will give this place some credit, however. There were a few people on the staff that I actually got really close to. As much as I hated the management, I know that the staff here for the most part are really good people and are doing their best despite lacking in workers. Our first experience using the lab area at Walgreens was, unfortunately, very disappointing. When we checked in, only two people were waiting. Then more people came in and more and more. We watched person after person use the check-in machine and get called back before us while we continued waiting patiently for about 45 minutes. At that point, we spoke directly with the tech and explained that we were there for a urinalysis and really needed to go because, well, kidneys don't exactly wait politely. She told us she would get us in after the patient she was currently seeing, so we trusted her word and stayed. Then that patient left, and instead of calling us back, she called someone else. She then told us, "I know I told you that you could come in after that patient, but this other person has an appointment, so all appointments have to go first." The issue isn't just the wait time. The issue is communication and keeping your word. We did not know appointments were required or strongly preferred because nobody explained that to us when we checked in. Had we known that from the beginning, we could have made a different decision instead of sitting there for nearly an hour believing we were next. I understand businesses have policies and schedules, but clear communication matters. Trust matters. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling dismissed, and because of that, I personally will not return or recommend this location unless someone already has an appointment scheduled ahead of time. read more

This has to be the slowest pharmacy, and I blame management, not the pharmacist working. I had a prescription that I needed for pain that was transmitted. I found out the drug was in stock, but it didn't get filled until the EVENING of the next day, thanks to a nice person named Chris. I called and he found it in a pod and had the the pharmacist authorize it. Another pharmacy employee told me there were eight people working there (true, I counted), but they had a severe personnel shortage and the others came from other stores. The poor overworked pharmacist was overwhelmed. Let's pay these professionals more so they can hire adequate personnel. 11-16-24 5:50 pm pulled in pharmacy drive thru to pick up a prescription. Waiting behind a Nissan NV van. Took until 6 for the van to move. They promptly shut the blind and put up the sign, when they could clearly see us in line (headlights lighting up down the side of the car in front of us). HEB will help everyone who is in line before they close-as long as they are in line before they close. My point-it was pretty rude to just shut the blinds in the manner they did. Prescriptions are better served at HEB- just a heads up. read more

I waited 12 days for a commonly available prescription - made multiple calls during that time to check and was always told "it's on back order" every time but no offer of an estimated date - nothing. I signed up for call and text status alerts on my account as well - NOTHING - crickets. Walked in this morning in person after waiting 48 hours for the Thanksgiving holiday break and I was only acknowledged when my opening statement was I need to know when this is coming or I'm going to pull the prescription and take my business to another pharmacy. Lo and behold "we can have that filled in 20 minutes - do you want brand or generic?" This is strike two and now we're done with Walgreens- what happened to me was stupid but they also ran out of the most common diabetes drug on the planet and let my partner hanging for over a week. She told me to come back tomorrow if I wanted them. Customers were telling her to give me the pictures but she refused. It was Mother's Day and maybe she was mad that she was working. Walgreens. Clean. Everything you could want/need. Been to one, been to them all. The only thing that makes these places different is the staff and the ease of getting in and out. The time I was here, the staff was great. The person in line before me was financing her home. Ok, maybe she was checking something else out, but it felt like she was trying to get the cashier to get her a mortgage. It didn't take long before someone else took over a cash register so that was a good move. Be aware that getting into / out of this place can be a chore. You can't make a left into the lot from 150, but payback is you can't make a left onto 150. Not sure what that is about with a turning lane on 150, but I'm sure some government engineer knew what was going on. 2770 is open season, so make sure to enter/exit that way unless things work out better for you. read more

I had a paper prescription, that the dentist told me I could take anywhere. I waited in line for over an hour, then they said it was missing a number, I called the office and gave them the number. The rude attendant who had brown and blonde braids then refused to tell me her name and told me I'd have to wait inside for the prescription. When I told her I had a sleeping infant in my backseat and couldn't take a baby inside she told me to get in line for another hour. After re getting in line, and getting the office to call the prescription in I'm most upset about how rude they were. To speak so rudely to patients, and paying customers is ridiculous. If you hate your job you should look into another profession. However they refused to provide names, walked away, rolled their eyes, and were exceptionally rude. Not to mention how long getting the actual prescription took. Our dentist also gave us a coupon for the prescription if needed and she rolled her eyes at the paper as if it was causing an inconvenience. I was here more than 2 hours before closing, so it's not like this was a last minute task. The attitudes, the environment, and overall the professionalism deserves 0 stars. Leaving one star as it's required, but do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. They don't deserve your business. read more

Well friend mine went to apply for work there and had an interview, was told start Monday, did background check and the company that did the background had a different birth year then what was on the paperwork, but everything else passed just inconsistent birthdate, Walgreens manager told my friend call them, he calls and was told they can't change anything got resubmit a new background check, asked talk to supervisor and they said he call back 2 hours, no one called, he contacted supervisor at Walgreens and said that they will only allow a new background check be submitted if he reapply for job for job on indeed I mean my bud already had offer letter and everything was passed except birthdate, he was told he have to reapply for the position basically where he first applied (indeed) wait to hear back, he been at last job for 6 years and only quit cause he moved and job before that 4 years cause moved. Has letters reference from former managers. So I was just surprised for a time when people need employees that how they help them them with the hiring process, only thing I have to say is, it gives kinda of an insight on how they probably treat the people work there, they have multiple postings on indeed and they have someone that probably be there for long time and is good with people and be good fit. So when I see things like people saying there lot jobs out there, def true, but if a clerical error happens and company says oh reapply and try get another interview cause of a company that uses a poor managed company that does background check that said they see the error but sorry can't change it. read more

This pharmacy is so inconsistent except on wait times. Wait times are consistently slow regardless of the number of people working. If you have a manufacturer coupon, that really throws them for a loop, too. (I have been waiting thirty minutes this time.) I had a reservation for a PCR test for my two kids. We have planed a trip to Hawaii and the state of Hawaii requires a negative PCR test for all un-vaccinated travelers. My wife and I are vaccinated so we only need it for our two kids. 2 hours prior the schedule appointment Walgreens cancelled our week in advance schedule appointment. Now we have to buy round trip tickets to Houston along with purchasing 2 PCR rapid test at the Houston airport. We are now out of pocket several thousands of dollars because of your incompetence. Needed to transfer a prescription from another city while visiting in Kyle. Expected for this to be a complicated process. Pleasantly surprised that it was so easy & quick. It would be filled same day. Definitely recommend, staff & pharmacist extremely friendly helpful. Will definitely use for my medication needs in the future when I visit. It's an extremely busy location so be patient & friendly. Long lines for drive thru, but so are the other business as well. I give it 5 stars. Well deserved. read more

They continually screw up prescriptions, saying that there are no more refills or incorrect quantity because they entered in computer incorrectly and say it will be fixed at next refill and remind them that it is incorrect at next refill and still screw it up. read more

I lived this place. I had a problem a few years ago when I got repeated robo calls from them but after several calls to corporate they got that fixed. Last week I went to pick up some meds and they insisted that I give my phone number before they would give me my meds. I expressed that I did not want phone calls and they assured me that it would not happen. The next day it started. After 3 trips to the store and being told it was fixed today I went back to the store. After yet another call I called corporate and they are going to try to fix it. Seems to me that the various Walgreens locations in Austin & San Marcos have much more variety than the one here in Kyle. I know that Walgreens is supposed to be no frills, but the ones in Austin carry more local-made products & it's kind of nice seeing their contribution to the local businesses. I have now been on hold for 16:22 and I would bet that they don't pick up.at all tonight. Also I started a new medication and I ask the pharmacist if I could take all of my meds without interatcions. The first thing I read after taking this med for a week is that indeed there is interactions with it..how dangerous is this? How responsible are these people? Are they trying to kill.me? I experienced the longest wait times I have ever had at a pharmacy at this Walgreens. I wait in the pharmacy drive through easily 20 minutes every time, and I'm typing this as I've been waiting 15 minutes without moving at all (5th in line, at least 4 people behind me). They are always ALWAYS understaffed, with the same people tending the drive through as the counter inside. And I have tried waiting inside for my prescriptions instead of the drive through, but it is not better there. I will be changing pharmacies in the near future, to one that maintains the proper number of staff and will not waste my time. read more
