I frequent this location multiple times a week, and although items are always in stock and employees are always friendly, there are two major issues that I've seen. The pharmacy is incredibly short staffed or doesn't have any idea on how to run a pharmacy. Again, the employees are friendly, but it never takes less than 20 min (at the least) to pick up a prescription both inside & out. I've tried coming at many different times....morning, midday, evening & late at night and it's always the same! The second thing hasn't happened often but is one of those things that should NEVER happen at any store, much less a pharmacy and wellness store. I went in this morning to get medicine for a sinus & respiratory flare I've been in the last 2 weeks. In front of the door were TWO employees smoking. 3/2 Graveyard Shift (Drive-Thru Pharmacy, ~11PM) This experience was unacceptable. I used the drive-thru pharmacy around 11PM to fill a prescription related to a documented work injury. At drop-off, I provided clear billing instructions to ensure the prescription was processed correctly under the appropriate workers' compensation coverage so that no personal insurance or co-pay would apply. The prescribing provider had also clearly indicated this on the prescription itself. When I returned approximately two hours later, I was charged a standard co-pay under my personal insurance. I immediately explained -- again -- that this was a work-related injury and that the prescription should not have been processed that way. The pharmacist then spent another 20 minutes looking for the billing paperwork, stating it had potentially been thrown away. It ultimately could not be located. Losing or discarding billing documentation for a work injury claim is not a minor oversight -- it reflects a serious lack of attention to process and accountability. At nearly 2AM, needing the medication more than a prolonged dispute, I paid the fee under protest so I could leave with what I medically required. This situation should not have happened. Work injury billing is routine and should be handled correctly the first time. Walgreens needs a review of overnight document handling procedures to prevent this from happening to someone else. read more

My recent visits to Walgreens has been to utilize photo services. I have been thrilled with both the quality and timeliness of the photo services. My Walgreens in Atascocita at West Lake Houston & FM 1960, delivered my orders earlier than expected but more importantly, the QUALITY is fantastic! I ordered Photo Books. Not sure what I expected but again the books turned out so beautiful at a price point that was truly reasonable. The staff completed the orders so quickly. A very satisfied customer. This pharmacy location is convenient but the availability of service is disgraceful. No one who needs a medication should have to make three visits to pick up meds ordered by an MD after a sick visit or any other kind of visit. The delivery application didn't work, so perhaps there isn't any! If that is the case , take it off of the application please. I'm really tired of the poor service at this location. Been trying to get a prescription transferred for 2 days, they keep saying they have done it and then when I got to the other pharmacy it doesn't never show up there. When I ask if they can just call over the phone they say only the pharmacist can do it, so the pharmacist is standing right there and never comments or offers to help. It's a shame in America you can't get an inhaler that you need, headed to ER for a $10,000 visit because the pharmacy can't offer an advertised service. If you have an important prescription, do not use this place. I have been using this location for over 20 years. All stores now REQUEST or REQUIRE you to use their app right? Yet the APP cant answer questions you may have. So, call the store? Think again. ROBOT operator! Try to navigate that! Once I got to the Pharmacy, every three minutes, i would here a 1/2 second of a human voice "hold". After doing that for an hour on my lunch break from Monday to Thursday, I decided to physically go to the store to get answers on my delayed prescription since their APP provided no information! Once I was at the store, I asked what the problem with their phone. The unprofessional person know that I was upset because I asked why I have had no success over the past 4 days by calling their phone to find out what was going on with my prescription. After 7 days, the unprofessional human said "let me see if that is in stock". Turns out, its not. Now I have to wait another 4 days for it to come in. I am done with Walgreens. I cancelled my prescription and took it to my local Pharmacy. Got my prescription right then. With a smile. And with compassion. The value you of communication and customer service is what I value most these days and THIS Walgreens is not a place for me! read more

I went in to get BC powder and Tooth clove oil. I could not find the oral isle and went in a circle prolly 4 times looking and got side tracked a cpl times looking for the bc powder.... Which I could not find at all. Also looking at stuff I didn't need. The worker there was a young lady probably teen to early twenty's. She was following me around like crazy. Which is very strange to me. Yes I just got up drank coffee and came in because it Thanksgiving and we have a lot of cooking to do... so I just wanted to run in and get two things. I can count on one hand how many times I shop at Walgreens. I honestly only stop when I have a hankering for my beloved Whatchamacallit candy bar that far few stores sell and at a pricey cost! A few weeks ago, I not only snagged my favorite candy bar, but one of those infomercial products. It was cheaper than I had ever seen it and I was curious, so I bought it...of course, it didnt work as advertised, so I planned to return it. When I finally located the receipt, I stopped at this particular Walgreens and had NO PROBLEMS! No hassle or fuss. I just had to make sure I brought the original card used for the purchase. Employee processed the return quickly and I was out the door! Certainly appreciated that after a long day, but that probably wouldnt have happenned if she wasnt observant enough to open the second register when the lines was getting lengthy. I never leave bad reviews but could not in good conscience fail to warn others about my experience. Firstly, the Walgreens on West Lake Houston in Atascocita has very poor customer service and the employees are super rude. My daughter has an eye infection and I was told that my insurance wouldn't approve a certain prescription. I spent countless hours on the phone only to find out that they didn't have the cream in stock even though they told me that the prescription would be ready for pick-up at 9:30pm. (I called and gave them all of my info and was told that I was put on "hold" when what they actually did was transfer my call back to the main line and it was another 20 minutes before I could talk to someone else who then asked me the 50 questions I had already answered the first time. I then had to call mutliple times after that.) I then asked for the prescription to be transferred to Walmart and that has still yet to be done 4 hours later. Walmart has called them numerous times to get it transferred but they won't answer. Meanwhile my daughter's infection continues to get worse. read more

I love my neighborhood Walgreens. Let me count the ways. 1) Friendly staff at the pharmacy counter 2) Fun special items and the always comedy friendly "AS SEEN ON TV!" section 3) Great cosmetics section and cosmetics associates 4) Well kept and organized store 5) Good prices on everything I need 6) A great place to grab snacks before hitting the road for a road trip I really like going there and use them even though my insurance wants me to use their competitor. I have joined the Walgreen's pharmacy club and some of my prescriptions are lower than they would have been on my insurance plan. I shop at Walgreens for toiletries as well. Their prices are generally pretty good and their sale prices are great. I like their snacks section very much. I can get a great big bag of the Blue Diamond Wasabi Flavored almonds. This is the only place I've seen the large size. My husband and I have used their photo lab and have had no troubles. As this location can get very busy, I generally time my visits to off hours, such as after 8 pm weeknights or early in the morning on weekends. My only compliant is that they have put the clinic waiting room next to the line for the pharmacy. If you are there getting maintenance meds, you do get exposed to people with colds and flu. The pharmacy does have hand sanitizer at the registers, so I make use of that and since I go late or early, I generally avoid the sick people as the clinic is not open then. read more

Poor customer service! I've waited for 10 days to get two eye drops needed before my double cataract surg. I was told out of stock, but ordered and waiting to receive. Everyday I check and they change to next day. I've called multiple times and put on hold, then disconnected after holding like 30 minutes. Today I went and sat in store for 30 min while they checked other locations I could go pick up this med from. I was given a note & told they transferred to this location and they had drug in store I started calling the new location only to be told it had not been called in yet? Waited a couple more hrs and was told it had not been transferred & they did not have this med in stock either!! WORST PHARMACY EVER! There are two pharmacist that have broke hipppa and we turned them in and they were reprehended but were able to come back to the same store!!! Hello they also think they are doctors too cause they know more than them and will argue with ur doctor about ur drug choice ur putting them on! That's not their job! Their job is to get a prescription and fill it and they can't even do that! They had a great pharmacy staff but can't keep them cause the pharmacist are assholes and make there own rules!! I was told I had to pick up all my meds not just one that the doctor sent over that day and I said I've been coming here for 15 years and it's always every 3 months I go and refills my prescriptions but some are 90 day and some are 30 so I don't always need them all at the same time plus if I only want to get one for 5 bucks instead all 6 for 90 that's my choice! So I said I've always done this and they said it's the pharmacist so I told them that's not the law and with holding medication that is important to my health because I have an autoimmune deficiency! And they still didn't so my doctor called and he said the pharmacist argued with him and he said he was reporting him and he did and I know they have been reported numerous times for this crap so why are they still able to be pharmacist at all is my question! read more

There is never NOT a problem with the pharmacy here. There will literally be 6 employees behind the counter and still a 30 minute wait for the pick up line or drive through. This happens no matter when I come and what I come here for. I've had to re-enter my address, express payment and health insurance information multiple times creating even more of a delay. Slowest...pharmacy...EVER! The drive thru was backed up. I'm 36 weeks pregnant, but I unstrapped my 15 month old to go inside, thinking it would be quicker. Wrong! The technicians were only helping the drive thru customers, as I stood there with a crying toddler. He was just as confused as I was as to why we were having to wait and we weren't being helped. I understand that the pharmacy gets backed up and busy, but over the years, Walgreens' service has really gone downhill. Every single time I need an rx, there's a really long wait. I just received one of the most helpful phone calls from Maria Alverez (sorry if spelt wrong) but she informed me that Walgreens is now helping the VA with veterans. Under certain eligibility, you may be compensated or covered by the VA for a clinic visit. This is going to help me along with the many veterans in the Houston area on being seen in a timely manner.
