They had Unisom (sleeping pills) when I needed them, and the very helpful person I immediately asked (because I needed to catch a southbound train in 7 mins) knew exactly where they were. However, some of their cashiers are lethargic and need to get the people they've just finished charging for their order out of the way, so the next people can go. Sometimes the rest of us are on a deadline. There was 1 cashier there when I went, so that was a bottleneck -- and then to have the guy who he'd processed slowly stuffing his crap away instead of moving off to the side...empower yourself and your store, for God's sake, dude. Avoid this place at all possible, unless you like spending time in one of the lower circles of hell. Always crowded (being on 16th and Stout doesn't help), chaotically organized, horrible service (don't get your photos developed here, "one hour" photo is a joke) and lack of selection combine to make this a must-miss. The cashiers were all 5 stars, but I have a major qualm with the manager, Cindy. I witnessed her scream at her employees in front of all of the customers for something menial seeming. I was appalled at the treatment and lack of professionalism. Never thought Walgreens would be a place of mistreatment. This is a flagship store for Walgreens. Sushi Bar? Never less than 5 cashiers. The girls in cosmetics are rude. What makes them think I need make up anyways. For a flagship store there could be better service. read more

Not going to spend too much time reviewing a Walgreens. This one is downtown on the 16th Street Mall. It can be very busy and have very long waits depending on the time of day. If you need to stop in during the afternoon I recommend going before 12:00 to beat some of the crowd. Overall the service is what you would expect for a convenience store. This is located right next to the light rail. If you are one of those people that can't wait 10 minutes for your line and would like to attempt a little rendevous in Walgreens, totally recommended. There are a lot of people in here so you probably couldn't purchase anything in that short time frame. For casual shopping, this place probably is your usual Walgreens. read more

Every since the new "flagship" store opened I've been observing the sushi counter. Fresh fish comes in every morning; immaculately dressed oriental men make it by hand but somehow I still just couldn't get over the idea of buying sushi at Walgreens. Broke down today and got some spicy rolls with shrimp and crab. They were amazing! Complete with sliced ginger and wasabi and wonderfully fresh. I've paid 3 or 4 times as much for comparable products in nice restaurants This was every bit as good. I'm a fan. read more

So I typically go here to get my prescriptions filled and every experience I've had has never been better than 3 stars. The employees are grumpy and work on there own time. For instance I was just there the other day to get some medicine for the flu and pneumonia, it had been called in by the doctor but yet I still sat there for 45 min. I think it's time to find a new pharmacy. read more

I am visiting Denver. I stopped by Walgreens on 16th mall street around 7pm on 6/17/2016. I was trying to pick up a darker plum color lip stick for wear and was standing in front of the Maybelline section. I know this is an unwritten rule that the customer is not supposed to try the lipstick on. Back in Boston where I live, I sometimes swab the color and was not called out. But I didn't know in Denver it is strictly prohibited to try the lipstick. So I picked one lipstick and was trying to swab on the back of my hand. A woman (African American, curly long hair, more on the heavy set) yelled really loud: THERE IS NO TESTING HERE. I didn't realize that she was speaking to me as she stood around 20 feet far. I took me a full 10 seconds to realize it. There were about 2 other female customers in that aisle at that moment. Then she walked over and yelled (AGAIN) rudely to me: YOU NEED TO F****** GIVE THAT THING TO ME! Seriously??? Am I dreaming at that moment? The first time in my life that somebody talks to me like that while I am a customer. I didn't know what to say at the moment because I was totally overwhelmed by that situation. I handed the lipstick over to her and walked away. I was trying to find someone to talk about my unpleasant experience but I couldn't because everyone in the store was extremely busy. I walked to the pharmacist in the back of the store and explained what has just happened. She told me to go the front desk and ask for a manager. However, I couldn't find anybody because all the cashiers are busy checking people out. So I came back to my hotel and tried to call that Walgreen store. I was put to hold for almost 30 mins before I gave up and hung up. I really like Walgreen in general. Most people working there are nice, especially the ones where I live. However, this one is an exception. What kind of good attitude do you expect in this liberal, pot-smoking city. This store basically said to me: we are busy making money and we don't care about you. We don't need your business because we are busy. I am extremely disappointed because of this experience and also the fact that nobody is willing to listen. I could have got my lipstick but I decide to not give them any business. Seriously, Walgreen on 16th Mall Street in Denver CO - be nice! It doesn't hurt to be nice! read more

Don't go here! I went in today to get some toiletries and didn't have my glasses on. I went in my purse to take out my eyeglass case. I put my glasses on and put my eyeglass case back in my purse. I ended up going to Rite Aid because I didn't see what I wanted. As I was on my way out two women walked up to me pointing and said that's her. They asked to check my purse. I couldn't believe it! I got everything I needed at Rite Aid. read more

Going to their pharmacy used to be my least favorite thing on the planet. Seriously, the gyno was like a day at the zoo in comparison. I've waited in lines a mile long, while being coughed on by the very sick or cut in line by the seemingly oblivious (who knew exactly what they were doing). Ever since the renovations, this place has done a 180. There is a distinct and far waiting area to keep the line uncluttered, and the line itself has clear set boundaries which provides much more organization, which is a blessing compared to the weird stop point that led to line-cutting incidents. Also, it seems like they've added to their staff which leads to much faster, more pleasant encounters than the disasters of the past. I went today and I was in and out and didn't feel any stress from it (at lunch time, no less). I can't tell you what a relief it is to not dread the trip anymore. For those who have switched pharmacies because they couldn't take it, believe me when I say that there is no way you hated the 16th St. Walgreens pharmacy more than I did, and it is not something you have to worry about here anymore. read more

This was a pretty amazing Walgreen's! These have a sushi counter and they prepare in fresh in the store. #mindblown! They are also open late on weekdays, when other stores close by are closed, good to get essentials and some food. read more

I love this Walgreens. I lived a block away for two years and it always helped serve as a staple for downtown living for me. Especially after this remodel! Wowee! I still work a block away and visit all the time. The sushi is actually quality, the new make up department is to die for, and I'm super happy they sell fresh flowers. I feel bad for the employees who have to deal with the inhuman disgusting trash that come in off the street and cause a scene and are rude but that's a problem only the city can address. *hint hint get them out of downtown* Any how big shout outs to my ladies Josie who is literally the kindest human being I've ever met in real life. She says thank you every five seconds and always tells me how pretty I look. And Sonja who is just as sweet and wonderful! I'm happy to fill out their surveys every single time I get my receipt back, and I'm bummed if I don't get them when I'm in line. Anyways, if you're a downtown dweller this place is the most convenient thing down there. The new kings in Ball Park they built- yikes. read more

This Walgreen's has recently expanded and although it is still under construction in parts, they stay open to the public during the whole process. I like having the wide selection of products, and weekly sales usually make it well worth going to Walgreen's. They also have reasonably priced products, although once in awhile they are too high. Walgreen's has fresh candy, because they sell a lot, per my beautiful mother. Now, this location has a large refrigerated section and you can stop by and find something for dinner, get reasonably priced coffee, and snacks. They have a wide selection of products. More often than not, their employees are nice to me, and they know me by my first name, and they know who my beautiful mother is because I tell them her accomplishments everytime I have the opportunity to do so. They always have an employee at the front door to monitor the store, and that is a good business practice. If they do not have an item, you can ask them to check and they will go into their warehouse and look, and that is really nice, because they usually find what I'm requesting. The Walgreen's customer service online or via telephone has also been responsive to me, when I report a problem, they fix it. I once left somethings at the store, and they just put them behind the counter and when I came back, they pointed me to them. I was so happy they were thoughtful. read more

This store was recently refurbished. The store layout is now much better than the average chain drugstore. The aisles are wide and the store is bright and clean. But we had a huge disappointment at the sushi counter when we bought one plain egg sandwich and one plain chicken sandwich; both were pre-packaged with sell-by dates eight days in the future. Both sandwiches were dreadful with very soggy bread. They were the worst pre-packaged sandwiches that we have ever bought anywhere in the world. read more

This is only for the Walgreens on Colfax. I have spent the last 30 minutes trying to talk to someone in the pharmacy. On hold for 15 minutes so I hung up and called back. This time after about 10 minutes it rang through but no one answered. Does anyone work there? If the pharmacy is too busy to answer why in the world don't they have that in the message instead of the incessant stupid message saying to hold on? Tell the customer to leave a message instead of wasting our time. read more

I have to say I love the renovation and the nice additions to the food options. However, they may want to review their pharmacy staff because they are some of the most rude staff members I've encountered in years. They are slow, they are unsympathetic toward customers, they are lazy, they make a lot of false promises, and they simply seem to enjoy wasting your time. I dropped off a prescription and was told to come back after 12noon to pick-up. When I arrived I waited in line and was told by "Jake" that they don't carry that medication and would have to request it. I asked why I was not called and he didn't provide an answer other than "we don't call customers." He then ordered the medication from another store and told me to come back at 8am the next day. When I arrived after 8am the next day, he said the medication was not even ordered. After I expressed my disappointment, he walked to the back and found the same medication he said wasn't ordered. He then filled my prescription quickly and angrily. Never again. Not to mention, "Jake" looks like he's 12 years old and shouldn't even have a job, let alone a job that deals with medications that could kill a horse. read more
