ABSOLUTELY INSANELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT GO HERE. I went in looking for Holiday beer mixed packs. The lady working there was on the phone the whole time. I looked around and saw their selection was terrible, and clearly so was the customer service. I barely looked at anything and didn't even come close to touching anything, saw they didn't have anything good and just left. As I was walking out the lady started screaming at me asking what I had. All that was in my hands was my keys. That's it. I said "I didn't get anything, I don't want anything" and walked out. She then ran out after me yelling and taking pictures of me. I said, "here come search me, I have nothing on me" mind you all of their small things are behind the counter, there's nothing I could have concealed on me. As I was pulling out of my parking spot she ran out recording me. Again, all I had was my keys. Not even a big jacket to hide anything. The reason I didn't buy anything is because the store is a mess and has a terrible beer selection, not because I was stealing. I've been in the neighborhood for 7+ years and have always purchased from them even though Drizly is cheaper, because they are a family owned business and I've known them for years and they know me back. Im probably not going to return after an incident when I walked out of the store and 5 minutes later the bottom of my liquor bottle fell out from under it and went all over the floor and me. I went back and showed pictures and the owners response was "What do you want me to do about it?" and i kindly said well I would hope I could get a new bottle. This place is seriously convenient if you live in the area. Beyond that, I have no good things to say about it, or the staff. They have attempted to upcharge me MULTIPLE times. Once, it was a wine bottle with a sticker price of one thing and a ring up price of something much higher - something I had to point out as the consumer. The female behind the cash register acted surprised when I did, and then her and the owner agreed that the higher price was accurate. I put it back on the shelf, pointed out how this was misleading and grabbed another bottle. Another time, I threw in one lime and they rang me up for 3. Same female. When I pointed this out, post charge, she again acted innocent and surprised. Two discrete instances, but leads me to believe that this is just part of the business they run. They get a lot of traffic from folks in the area who are intoxicated (think: weekend nights) and they'll take advantage of it where and when they can. Awful taste in the mouth. Avoid this place at all costs. I went to buy a 12pk of 12oz Montucky Cold Snacks. Ended up getting that, a 1liter Coke and a bag of gummy bears and paid $29! This store has been reported as fraudulent! Beware of multiple charges on the same credit card transaction. Owners said their machines were not working correctly so they insisted of running my "Approved" transaction three times. Of course, the transaction was deducted from my account three times! Then the owners said it was a problem for the bank and I had to take care of it! My bank reported this store as fraudulent. Beware! Also, their wine selection is poor and overpriced. The only reason this place is still in business is because of its location, it's where you go in a pinch if you live in the neighborhood. There are prices listed on 10% of the items in this store. Who does that? We've started taking multiple items to the desk and asking them to tell us which is the cheapest then purchasing that one because it's the only way to figure out what the items cost! On top of that everything is over priced, their boxed wine runs up to about $28 when you can get it for $8-$10 cheaper at the liquor store next to the ball park. Literally the worst customer service ever. I live above the store and refuse to go anymore. The selection is decent but way overpriced. i stopped by tonight for a 6 pack of beer, when i got home 2 minutes later i opened one and they were skunked. expiration date being 3 months ago, they told me to bring back the 6th bottle of the 6 pack so they can return it to the manufacturer. i returned a minute later with the bottle and he said nothing can be returned once it leaves the store. then why did he have me run home you ask? so he could "call the manufacturer" at 11pm to tell me lies about the expiration date being the bottling date. dont ever support those worthless lying terrible people. im extremely upset at their lack of customer support or service and i pray they go out of business. they truly deserve it. read more
