The store is not very big which allows the customer service to be far better than the warehouse sized stores. The pricing is very fair. I love this place. We visit probably once a week to check out their rare selections. Transactions are always fast and the service is always delightful. Someone is always there to ask if we need anything or to help us with any type of question we may have. These guys are knowledgable and I really appreciate that. I am new to Wash Park West, and Logan liquors in close by. I stopped on a Friday, bought some wine, and it was vinegar like. Stopped by the next day and bought a new bottle, and asked if I could return the bad one for an exchange. Yes, he said, but we really don't take returns. Why, I asked, knowing they could get their money back from the distributor. Policy, but they would do an exchange seeing the product I bought was bad. Okay, I'm fine with that. Told him I'd be in tomorrow. Brought the wine in the next day (Sunday), and the clerk said he could not let me exchange it without the owner's approval, and they don't work on Sunday. Really? Why? Just moved to the area and decided to walk over for a bottle of wine at 10:45pm They close at 11:00. The door was locked. Some rude little boy opened the door and asked if we had cash. Before I could even say no he said "if you dont have cash you can't come in" and slammed the door in my face!!! I was appalled at the rude behavior at a time they should be open. This was my first experience at this store... and my last. What a sad joke of a place. Sad considering there are numerous neighborhood places you can go in the area for wine AND friendly service. Being a manager in my profession, if I discovered one of my employees ever did something like this, they would have been fired immediately. Get a clue and realize you have a diverse group of people in your neighborhood and to treat anyone willing to spend money like this is downright classless. Great liquor store. It feels a little divey inside (really, what liquor store doesn't?), but the staff a very friendly and helpful. Great selection of beer (including a lot of Belgians and imports - score!), and a pretty decent selection of wine. Keep in mind that the wine is under fluorescent lighting all day, so try and select something that's down toward the bottom. They're well-stocked on liquors, and they have a decent selection of mixers, too. All of the prices are pretty reasonable. Pro tip: Logan Liquors has a DRIVE-THRU, peeps! read more

I'm going to go ahead and be the sole "middle of the road" person with regard to this liquor store. It's now our closest place to run over and grab beer and mojito makings and whatnot. It's completely uncreepy and all of the employees are really friendly. They allow dogs inside (and have treats). They have a drive-up window and are on the right side of the road so that I could effortlessly pull through for six pack after work, should the occasion arise. They also have a good selection of beer with all of my favorites in stock (Great Divide and Odells, mainly). The big downside is the prices which is to be expected in a smaller place. $9.49 a six pack for my favorite beer is pretty steep. Also, sometimes their prices aren't posted. I've blindly purchased a bottle of Bacardi before and that scares me. But all in all, not a bad little place. read more

It's odd to see such a vast difference among the various reviews. People either seem to LOVE this place or HATE it...but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of between. Me, I like the place. The owners are super friendly, they know my name, my kid's name (always sends me home with a lollipop for her), even my dogs' names (I leave with bones for them). I have been going to Logan Liquors for years. Ever since the elderly gentleman has been gone, the service has been marginal. Today was the last straw! I pulled up to thhe drive through window and no one came. After about five minutes I honked. Still no one came. I honked and the owner ("Wine Lady") came to the window. No apologies; she just said, "What do you want". I told her and I heard her call to someone. No one brought the wine that I asked for a so I just drove away. I will never go back there again. This has been my go-to booze stop ever since I've been living in the Wash Park area. This is a family owned place, and they are all very friendly. If you are cheap like me, you will particularly like the ability to buy a cut in half and duct taped up twelve pack when you just need a few or don't have room in the fridge (but really isn't there always room for booze?... just throw out those five expired BBQ sauces in there!) On the flip side, they have a very decent wine selection and some specialty beers in the back room so ask if you don't see what you're looking for. A liquor store with a drive up window? Now that's innovative! Well, maybe not but still clever. While I don't drive, I think that is a great idea. The staff are super friendly and way knowledgeable. Where else can I go that people know what Spotted Cow is? This is the first place someone knew what I was talking about in Denver. So you know, Spotted Cow is a Wisconsin micro brew that can't be sold outside the state, or something like that. It reminds me of Goose Island in Chicago, can't find it anywhere outside of the Midwest, which is unfortunate. The selection here is great! They have something for every price range. A fair amount of regulars seem to frequent this place as the staff knows a lot of people by first name. Maybe I'm partial to this place because it's right in the neighborhood, walking distance too, but I find myself going here for my frosty beverage needs quite a lot! I have sworn off this place 3 times because of rude guys who'd rather talk to their buddies (or the pretty girls) than be nice to all the norms who come in regularly to buy stuff. One day, found a flier on the counter requesting I call my state legislator to oppose convenience stores and grocery stores selling hi point beer and liquor. I love this place. Amazing selection of beer, easily over 100, and an impressive wine selection. They have high end wine in the back too - so ask an employee if you can't find what you're looking for. The staff are all very friendly. If I'm not sure what to get, I ask and always get a good recommendation. The store manager stays on top of the newest releases and trends, so unless you're looking for some micro brew from Uzbekistan, they'll probably have what you're looking for (or they'll order it for you if they can). I'd much prefer to shop with a local store like this than Argonaut or some chain - it's a family run place, they've been there for over 30 years. I'm perplexed reading over the reviews that say the service here sucks. If there was ever a customer who deserved shitty service in this liquor store, it's me. I always bring my giant dog in, and she jumps up on the counter, and almost knocks over towers of wine regularly. In addition, I've been known to make cell phone calls from inside the store, which annoys me and I'm the one doing it. I've never had surly service, and the staff has always been helpful. The prices don't seem high for me, but then again I'm not buying piss beer. What a dump....the selection is ok but the staff is so RUDE!!! They are alway eating something right at the counter. I don't know about you, but I don't want their nasty food hands touching anything I'm purchasing. They yelled at me for making two purchases.....said it cost $ to run my card each time. I wish I could give this store a 5star review because I love their location, the selection and bonus drive thru, And if it wasn't for one person behind the counter I think I would regular more. I have always worked in restaurants/customer service and know the importance of attention and acknowledgement of your customers. That being said I can count on more than two hands the times I've walked through the door and been faced with being ignored, no eye contact, short, uninterested, irritated employee, this included the drive thru. I even stood at the counter one night counting how long it would take for the guy on his cellphone to notice me... I really like Logan Liquors. They're small, so of course they don't have a huge selection, but they carry enough of everything that I can always find a good microbrew or bottle of Portuguese wine if I'm in the mood. Last time I was in the owner/manager(?) gave a kid who was there with his parents a free can of soda, then offered my kid a lollypop. And they always have dog biscuits, so my dog goes crazy when we go by. The employees are nice (who cares if they drink PBR or are hippies/hipsters/don't shower? I'm not drinking with them, I'm buying booze from them). And while I want grocery stores to sell booze purely because I want Trader Joe's to come to Denver, I understand why Logan Liquors doesn't want that: it'll put small, local stores out of business. read more

I stopped by the other night and was suprised by the rudeness of the staff. While they were talking amongst themselves from behind the counter, one of them belched loudly enough for the whole store to hear. Then, with customers in the store, another employee said to one of his coworkers "Everyone should get the fuck out." Again, this was loud enough for customers in the store to hear. While this place is close to where I live, it's dirty and expensive. Good customer service might have overcome those negatives, but customer service does not appear to be a priority here. "what else for you" is what I was asked when I already had a total of $100 (owners). No hello or thank you, did you find everything okay; just give me more money out of your wallet. I am happy to report that I did not hate Logan Liquors as so many before me have. In fact I liked it, which is great because it's one of the closest liquor stores to my house. Except the one on Broadway between First and Second but that one always looks really kinda gross. So this place is cool and they had a small but (to me) awesome wine selection. I was hoping they'd have Evolution, but I figured they wouldn't. And they totally did! And it wasn't much more expensive than anywhere else I'd seen it. Also the guy who rung me up was very nice.
