Do not order from DoorDash. They will accept your order and not fulfill the order and not answer the phone. I had to jump through hoops with DoorDash customer support to get a refund. I understand Denver has new laws about delivering alcohol but it's been 5 months, you need to figure this out or take your store off DoorDash. read more

Nice, large-sized liquor store with a parking lot, as well. The wooden beer coolers were pretty cool, they seemed antique-ish. I was looking for wine and found a decent-looking Rosé for only $8.99. The store clerk was super friendly and also mentioned how good that particular Rosé was, especially for the price. It was delicious and I'm getting it again next time I'm in the area. If you're wondering it was Mont Gravet. I also picked up a bottle of Chardonnay that was marked down. Unlike other liquor stores in the area who inflate the price and mark it down to seem like you're getting a deal when you're really not (ahem, Argon...) -- my Vivino app tells me an average price and this truly was a sale price. Being from California, it's a big deal for me to not have alcohol in the grocery store. That being said, when I find a good liquor store - I stick to it! Bonnie Brae Liquor has become that new spot. Sooo many cool bottles of booze, many that I had never seen before! I also loved the mixers available, and a good beer selection too! I'm holding back on five stars because price variety is important to me. Most of their wine bottles were pretty mid range, and I'd be happy to see some more options. They did have an economy section, but at this stage in my life, I'm not looking for barefoot wine. Just some more variety would be nice. Either way, I'll definitely be back! read more

I went yesterday in person for the first time. It was on my way and I was happy to see a very easy in/out and spacious parking lot, which is a big deal for that neighborhood. Excellent wine selection, a bit expensive, but they really try to give you lots of good options. I've gotten delivery from them before and I've always been happy. My issue was with the in person visit. The girls checking people out at the front appear to not want to be there. When I checked out, I pulled out my reusable bag and then went to get out my credit card. The girl just sat there, didn't pack my wine up into the bag, just watched me pay and then watched me pack the wine into the reusable bag. As I left she said, "thank you dear" which I found condescending. I would've preferred automated check out than some stranger calling me "dear" and doing nothing to help. read more

OMG these guys kick Argonauts delivery ass! They have continued to deliver beyond expectations. Just an FYI-I offer $20 cash to get here within an hour to 1 1/2 hours max. They have gotten here every single time on time and more than likely within an hour. You always pay for what you get. If you pay a delivery person to come to your home within 1-1 1/2 hours for a $20 cash tip they will punch the pedal to the metal and get here on time. Well, you know... I think I've given this establishment enough of my money. The first experience with them was horrible, they fixed it; this time, again, horrible. Every time I order from this place, they either send me the wrong drinks, or call me half an hour after my order has been placed to tell me that they're out of something I ordered! EVERY. TIME. Welp, this was the last chance I'll be giving this place. And Minibar is about to get the same review for this liquor store being the only place in town I can order from. I order from this store on a delivery app regularly and I must say, I am thoroughly pleased. They have an excellent selection, great prices, and incredibly cheerful staff. The delivery people are always very professional and see happy to do their job. ID's are always scanned and delivery instructions are followed to a "T". Can you rate half of a visit? Why? Because I returned a keg here after someone else picked it up and put down the deposit. So, I've been here 1/2 a visit, once. Great selection of beer, wine, bottles and everything else in a liquor store. What Bonnie Brae has is that local feel, that sense of being part of the neighborhood. I thought the store was huge and if I needed something, I'm sure they would have had it. But, remember, I was only here to return a spent keg and that part of my visit was seamless. read more

I'm sad to write a one star review of one of my favorite liquor stores. It's conveniently located on my way home, usually I receive great service. Unfortunately on July 18, 2019 I stopped in to buy a bottle of organic white wine. I asked the woman at the register if they have any organic white wine she did not know - she went in the back to ask and another woman whom came out to "help" me. She stated she was a new hire and did not know if they had any organic wine at all. She said she would take a look, she goes into the back comes out approximately 5 to 7 minutes later and starts doing something else, I ask if she had any luck in my quest, she says "Oh I don't know I stopped looking for what you want." I then find a box of organic white wine on my own, go up front to pay for it and no one to be found anywhere in the store, I waited 3 to 6 minutes for someone, anyone to check me out. I plopped the box of wine on the counter never to return. read more

The staff here are super friendly and very knowledgeable. They have quite the selection for a smaller store including a broad range of specialty bitters and other cocktail ingredients. They even had Luxardo cherries which I did not expect. The parking can be a bit busy right by it, but there's plenty of street parking a few blocks away. One nice thing is that it's near Bonnie Brae ice cream, so you can always grab some tasty treats after shopping. read more

The Bonnie Brae Liquor Mart works hard for your business and is a shining example of a Mom & Pop style liquor store. Be sure to sign up on their email list, they send out periodic specials, events and coupons! I even received information about changes to liquor laws in Colorado from them, which I found fascinating and informative! The have a wide selection of micro-brews, wine, liquors and your other standard fare. The staff has always been friendly and courteous, even when I just stop in to buy a soda when I'm in the neighborhood. They treated me exactly the same as when I dropped $50 on wine as when I spend $.75 on soda - not something I can say for all establishments. read more

Another "In My Hood" review. First of all this place is walking distance from my house...granted a longer walk than I would usually take just to geta bottle of wine, but if need be, I could walk. The staff is cool, laid back, and pretty funny most days. They have a great wine selection and a pretty wide beer selection. I must admit, the primary reason it took me so long to get in here, s because the discount liquor store on Colorado Blvd (about the same distance from my house) is cheap. Just cheap. So, I will choose price over favorite wines most days. BUT, was I surprised to find out the prices are super reasonable. And with the local 10% coupon I find all the time, it becomes very attractive. Bumping this up to 5 stars for an awesome experience today. I went in to pick up New Belgium's summer folly pack, geeking out at the release of it and their new summer ale. I ended up picking up said folly pack, a New Belgium Lips of Faith bomber (highly recommended) and a New Belgium globe glass. The fellas working were super cool and we ended up talking beer while I was checking out. To me, when you go to a liquor store and can have a great, intelligent conversation with the people who work there, you know it's good because they know the stuff they're selling. Great neighborhood liquor store. They keep a good selection of beers available (sometimes they have things in the behind doors fridge so ask if you don't see it), the wine selection is nice and I have found pricing comparable and sometimes lower then the large stores (Tipsy's, Argonaut). The employees are friendly and have helped guide me down paths lest travel through conversation and I have always been happily surprised with what they have suggested. I love supporting some of the smaller stores, and this is one I happily support. If you are in the area or live near by, give them a go, I think you'll be surprised what they have to offer. read more

I even ordered from them on NYE around 6-6:30 pm and they delivered within an hour after placing the order. Bonnie Brae has everything to keep a lush in check...for a while. The selection isn't going to blow anyone's mind, but it's good enough to keep most beer, wine, and booze snobs happy. We've been really happy with the service here. I'd be content to work in at atmosphere responsible for world happiness, and I think the Bonnie Brae folks are, too. That's not the case everywhere, though. Some liquor stores have that nervous edge or coldness about them, and it's enough to make you feel guilty about buying alcohol. This was my first order through mini bar delivery and it was not a good experience. Ordering was easy but the delivery person circled my block 4 times before I could get her to stop. After the first pass-up I was ready as she came around the block again, flagging her down each time but she passes me up again and again and again!! I tried calling her each time she passed me but no answer, 5th time around she finally stops and told me she could not answer her phone while driving! She would not make eye contact with me and acted as though she had done me a favor! I was charged an automatic tip and she did nothing to earn a tip!! COVID-19 Review - order directly from Bonnie Brae Liquor's website and they will deliver right to your front door for just a $5 delivery fee!! I originally ordered from Instacart on March 30th and the soonest delivery date was for April 4th. Then, the morning of April 4th I got an update from Instacart that due to High Demand my order wouldn't be delivered until April 9th. Understandably annoyed, I called BBL and they let me know it must be High Demand on Instacart's side, but if I place my order on their website they can get it to me in a few hours. Placed my order around 9am, booze was delivered at 12:30pm and the guy was even able to scan my driver's license through my glass door, because social distancing. Couldn't be happier and love being able to go straight to the business instead of through a 3rd party that takes additional fees from the business. Will be a repeat customer. CHEERS! read more

This is a decent shop to pick up some vino or beer. I've not checked out any of their liquors here, but overall this is better than your typical neighborhood liquor store for wine and beer. I'm not overly impressed with their American or French wine selections, but as I said they're better than your average joint. They have a nice Aussie wine selection however. They do have some nice higher-end wines if you're looking to splurge. As a side note, when my wife and I were first getting into wine, we shopped here for a couple bottles to take to a blind tasting with a number of wine distributors and people in the business. The staff here recommended the winning bottle for us, so I've got a soft spot in my heart for this store. (and we weren't ridiculed by all the wine industry people thank goodness ;)) read more

Take my suggestion and order from someplace else. I was compelled to order here solely because I needed 2 liter bottles of Diet Coke and they were the sole vendor for that product in my area through the Drizly delivery app. The order was scheduled to arrive around 4:15-4:30, but had still not arrived by 4:45, which forced me to leave to pick up another order, leaving my wife (who is 37 years old and shares my name) at home. When the delivery finally arrived, over half an hour late, the store refused to deliver to my wife because she was not me - an arbitrary store policy not disclosed in advance. An appeal to the manager yielded no results; there was no apology; and clearly a deficiency in customer service. I am still seeking a refund for my order. Luckily, I was able to procure the same items (minus the Diet Coke) at a lower price from a competitor, Off Broadway Liquors, which delivered the items on time and as promised. read more
