Spent thousands of dollars with them this year and spent $25 for a raffle entry into their end of year "charity" bourbon raffle which used to boast fair prices on hard to find bottles to thank their loyal customers. Now they are charging 30% to 4x MSRP. Way to reward your loyal customers who spent thousands with you throughout the year. Will never recommend again. Hope they go belly up! read more

Honeslty I love the selection of drinks that they have to offer. If there was something that I couldnt find, they would always go the extra mile to hlep me find it or at least somthing similar to it. The only down side why I did not give it 5 stars is becuase they have one cashier who I seem to get everytime that seems to not only hate his life, but his job always. Upscale liquor store. We rode through on our way up to Breckenridge and whatever you want, they will probably have.

I begged them for months to put peach high noons in the fridge and they finally did it for about a month. The last three months I've been going in there now they have not had a refrigerated and they have flavors that they sell less of in the refrigerator while the peach ones stay out of the refrigerator. Check your numbers I guarantee you sell more peach than you do lemon. If you want cold peach go down the road to Fred's liquors. They're much better at keeping them refrigerated. Nobody wants to drink warm alcohol. Maybe you'll figure this out one day. It's a shame to have such a pretty liquor store and be too stupid to run it. I use Yelp to keep track of my favorite places around the world, including liquor stores. My friend and I stopped at Applejack on the way to a weekend getaway in Breckenridge, mostly grabbing small bottles of soju. Always a good sign of alcohol diversity when liquor stores keep a variety of soju flavors in stock. They probably have other rarities too. Everyone seemed to be having a good time when I was there, whether shopping or working. Reasonable prices and a robust rewards system. Parking lot gets busy at peak hours. The emails got a little spammy, so I unsubscribed eventually. So much space, I could probably spend an hour or two here. Definitely coming back whenever I'm in the area! read more

I drove to Applejacks in Wheatridge from south Evergreen in weekend traffic yesterday afternoon to pick up a $500.00 order of non-alcoholic wine. When I got there my driver's license was not in my wallet, but the order was already paid for as I was a returning customer I have a account. Since I'm seventy-six I don't think that I am under the age to be able to buy non-alcoholic wine, but this young woman who works in the pick-up section of the store was determined not to give me my order. She seemed to really get off on being "the boss" as she kept referring to herself. So, since I've been able to purchase non-alcoholic wine in the store, I headed to the store and was picking out a couple of bottles when she ran in from the other area to make sure that I wouldn't be allowed to buy any. I yelled at her and she kept yelling at me and telling me that she was going to call the cops. I can't imagine what a cop would have thought, if one would have shown up. The whole thing was so ridiculous that it should have been funny, a 76 year old not being allowed to pick up a pre-paid purchase of non-alcoholic wine, but it certainly wasn't. It was extremely unpleasant. I have canceled my order, and I never plan to do any business with them again. I know that they are a huge store, and my few thousand a year is not much for them, but over ten years or more it adds up to thirty or forty thousand or more. Meanwhile, I stopped at two liquor stores on the way home to see what would happen, and I even decided to really test it and buy an alcoholic drink, and neither of the stores required a driver's license. I really doubt that employee will last that long there. Her extremely self-important and belligerent attitude will probably catch up to her, but there were other employees in the retail section who just stood there. read more

A co-worker recommended we get a quote for a wedding reception and it was great. just fill out the form online I got an email reply the next day, Lisa M Was fantastic. My daughter priced it all at Costco and Applejacks pricing was better. Her quote and the bar tender's suggestions were almost identical. We live in the mountains and they offered delivery but we go right by the Youngfield st. location so we picked it up. They loaded it up and they were great about taking back unopened bottles and cases. Could not have been happier. Highly recommend these guys if you are having any event. read more

Pricing is good too - especially on some of their specials. Despite what some other reviewers said curbside pickup has been flawless, ready within the day and delivered to your car within a minute or two. Keep up the great work guys!! read more

Adult candy store I called ahead of time and spoke with Barbara to see if they had a particularly liquor that I was looking for and of course they did. Barbara, Chris, Kelly in the customer service department were absolutely fantastic. Actually everybody that we spoke while looking at different things were extremely helpful. I have been going there for at least 35 years, they have been in business for 50+ years. I was friends with the owners especially on of the brothers. Great people, truly missed. Gives Total Wine a solid run for the money, and has more usable member discounts compared to their points program. While they appear smaller in size than a typical Total Wine store, I think you come out the same because they don't seem to have much of the undesirable options Total Wine bulks up their aisles with, and more importantly, you save time because you're looking over less things you would not have wanted to begin with. They have an excellent cold beer / seltzer selection; an entire wall of the store dedicated to that. The champagne options are also surprisingly good and priced competitively. Get on their email list, they regularly send out specials. Their curbside pickup is also very helpful and a time saver. read more

This place is super shady. They labeled a $45 bottle of wine as $11.99 and put it on the 2nd the bottom shelf with the other $11 bottles. I bought it thinking this was the cheapest option. At the checkout they don't show you what things ring up as. Coincidence? I think not based on the other bad reviews here of mislabeling and double scanning items. It all feels intentional.. when confronting the managers I expected to be taken care of but they got super defensive and blamed ME for them not doing their job. If we weren't stocking up for a big party this big price difference would have stuck out more and we would not have drank it. We are not fancy wine people. The $10 twist off bottle we bought was better than this $45 one. Classic bait and switch to take advantage of people. As a long time customer, I am extremely disappointed. read more

They deliver locally for a $100 minimum order. 5 stars: My cashier was friendly even though she had just finished with an intoxicated customer who berated her. 1 star: I find most of the staff unhelpful and unpleasant. Rather than asking me if I needed help, it seemed that the staff members I observed avoided interacting with me or they appeared to be on a high priority mission. I placed an order for wine to be shipped to me. After a month of not hearing anything, I called them numerous times and could not get through. Finally, I reached someone who said they'd look into it and then never heard back. After another month, they contacted me and sent me a form to sign to release the wine. I sent it back within the day and then after another month they contacted me to say my order had "slipped through the cracks" and whether I still wanted it more than three months after I placed the order. Applejack's BOMB AF! Selection - you can't beat it. They have so much, compared to Bear's or any smaller places across Golden or Arveda. Beer, Wine, Liquor. My Texas Friends - they have Tito's in all sizes, of course! Staff.... Ummmm. Texas has some pretty strict liquor laws. This place acts like they do. Buy and pay? Get the 3rd degree for taking you bag back past checkout. Other stores are chiller, this one, not so much. The prices are pretty on par, and it's very convenient. Poorly lit and kind of dark inside walked around 10 min. The staff was talking to themselves huddled by the desk in the middle of the showroom. I have to be honest. This is my home store. Bevmo is to California as Apple Jacks is to Colorado. I love this place. They have a great selection of wine, liquor, and beer. The reason for the three stars is they do not stock their rotating beer cooler very well. It's been looking unfortunate lately. Today, I drove out to the Thornton store. Took the express lane the whole way. Thornton had a well-stocked rotating beer cooler, and they even had more beers from the rotating on the warm shelves. Perhaps, they could divert Thornton's stock to Wheatridge so it wouldn't be so pathetic. I'll be moving to online ordering. Also, the customer service representative in Thornton commented about clientele in Thornton being different, not sure what he meant about a different clientele, but we like our high-end Hazy IPA's over here on the Front Range. read more

*UPADTE* follow up on pass experience. Omg.. this pass couple of days had been rough, and this continue to be an unbelievable experience to me.. in a bad way.. So the secretary of this company contacted me and sincerely apologize for their part of the mistake, and I understand where they coming from and I agree that I would like to continue to do business with them and hopefully they can give me a quote perhaps on other vintages (originally I wanted a 2014 petrus) which btw, they shown online that they have 2015 and 2016 vintage in stock as well. The secretary then told me that she will get the CEO online and reach out me and hopefully we can work out something together and move on. 10 mins passed and the CEO did call and to be honest at this point I am very happy because I can see the light at the tunnel of having this resolve and the CEO took down my email and I was told that they will put something (I don't know what something is, but something) together for me to work on getting this fix.. 2 hrs passed yesterday still no calls no emails no nothing.. I then called the secretary to find out and no one picked up and no returning phone call.. Now this really left a bad taste in my mouth and I can't believe that upper management is leaving an unfinished issue like this and do nothing about it...:( read more

Applejack's is a huge store that is always packed with customers due to the great selection and good prices. It has been a few years but when we are in the area and on our way to visit or vacation in the area we and many friends make this our first stop. The staff can be very helpful if you ask.
