My new favorite wine and liquor shop! Divino is in my neighborhood though it has taken me until now to find them. Wines wines wines almost everywhere, all organized by region. Varying prices thats can accommodate any budget -- whether you're celebrating or just need a bottle for the night, Divino has so many options for you. The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The men who helped me were both trained somms, and were so eager to help me find what I was looking for. Beyond the wine, they have an amazing liquor section with some of the most unique liquors -- many that I had only seen behind a bar before. They also had a decent selection of beers in the back! My favorite thing about this place is the TWO 10 and under racks (sizing pictured). So yeah, lots of solid options without compromising on quality and uniqueness. Divino has historically had a pleasant urban small shop vibe where dogs feel welcome. They have a good bourbon selection of good to great, but not the hard to find top-notch whiskey. I used to recommend them, but in 2020 they went full-on woke-AF with "Black Lives Matter" and the service has become up tight and rude. Parking is a challenge. I recommend off-street parking accessed from the alley behind them. Prices aren't great. I'm giving up on them. read more

We made a COVID road trip from Seattle to Denver to visit family & friends, found this place online & it happened to be around the corner from where we were staying. I called them up to ask if they could pick out 6 bottles of various types of wine, telling them styles we liked & a budget. I gave them my info & credit card info - within a few hours I pulled up in the alley, texted them & they brought out our wine, mask-on, gave us a wine club discount & loaded into our trunk. All the wines were great, they were super helpful & I'll be back in the future!! read more

If you aren't too busy gazing up at the overwhelming floor to ceiling shelves stocked full of every kind of booze imaginable, you may notice the super nice staff greeting you with a grin and armed with any answer to any question. On the quest for the best champagne for an expectant mommy that had to abstain from the bubbly for a whole 9 months, I knew I needed to get the good stuff. As we wandered to the back of the store that recalls the same charming, organized chaos feeling as you'd probably receive in that wand store Harry Potter visits in the first book. The store is literally overflowing with product, but all in a organized disarray. We made it to special sparkling wine area where he briefed me with some great knowledge. I wouldn't have known about the flavor profiles of sparkling wine and would've just kept sipping the store-bought brand bubbly (which in some scenarios, is also appropriate :). The parking on South Broadway down there can be a little tricky, but they do have their own parking lot and when you're in the mood for some serious booze shopping - this place is definitely worth the trip. read more

I stumbled upon Divino driving by the other night. The light shining strategically on the long row of bottles drew me in like a moth to a flame. As soon as I walked inside I thought boutique and OMG- I'm not going to get out of here without spending at least $100! I begin looking for the usual suspects: Orin Swift. Clos du Bois. Jordan. Coppola. Etc. Etc. Nah man! The owner was there and in so many word I asked "what's your angle"? With cool he replied that they simply carry what they like. What they want to drink on random Wednesdays. What they want to serve on special occasions. What you don't see on every shelf at every wine store. Some of the labels were hard to find. Some were simply underrated. I felt like a total wine rookie. I mean....I thought I knew a few things about vino. But I realized I was simply just comfortable going to my list of favorites. I needed to find new favorites damnit!!! And Divino is the place to do it. Don't get me wrong, the big box wine stores have their place and they haven't lost me (yet). But if you want to feel special and walk out the door with a bottle...or 2..or 3 that you've never had before, stop in. Btw- they have SEVERAL bottles that are priced as "dailies". Average price somewhere around $11. I asked for a red "daily" that would knock my socks off. I took home a nice French blend. My socks were literally and figuratively off a couple hours later!!! You can tell a bunch of wine geeks are running this joint! They also have great tastings and great wine events that I have taken part in. They have a superb beer selection as well as spirit. Divine Divino - this place is so wonderful and unassuming. If you blink, you'll miss it, but be sure to pull a u-turn because it is great. The staff members at Divino have always been kind, informative, and non-judgmental (especially when my girlfriends and I strolled in here at 10:30 AM to buy copious amounts of vodka and wine). I appreciate the impeccable organization, and the fact that they aren't so over-the-top snobby with their wine that they can't appreciate a $10 bottle - they even have a designated section for this affordable price point. I love Divino. I usually end up chatting with Jason and he's fantastic about finding new items that I really love. They're also really great about special ordering things that you love with no fuss. What's great about Divino is that they cater to people like me (or that I can be) - people with particular tastes and know a lot about wine and are looking for something new and adventurous. You're probably not going to find your major labels if you're looking for generic wine, BUT... They always have a great selection, right up front, of bottles of wine that are around $10. So if you're not looking to break the bank and don't know what you're looking for, I'm positive the staff can find something affordable for you. Coming from a guy who knows his wine, I can tell you that this store may not have as many SKUs as your larger liquor store/wine shops, but they can find something for you whether you're a sommelier or someone just looking for a nice drink on your porch on a warm afternoon. One of the few things I miss about living in Wash Park is Divino. I absolutely looked their selection of wines, beers, liquors, and glassware. I purchased at least one bottle each week from Divino as well as my stemware. I think one of the reasons I loved this place so much (besides the fair prices) was their return policy. Don't like it or its gone bad... just bring it back in with the receipt. I had zero hassles doing so. I once purchased a bottle that was supposed to taste dry; it tasted like chalk. I took it in to have it exchanged and it was as easy as pie... ummm pie. read more

I am not a wine connoisseur by any measure. My family, however, are all stuck up snobs when it comes to wine. Every year when the family comes to town, I show up with a bottle of wine that they just can't turn their noses up at. DiVino is the reason for that. I don't need to know that the hell I am doing because they have my back. Cider, on the other hand, is my libation of choice. DiVino has the best cider selection in the state hands down. Their stock always includes something new for me to try. Only once did I get a miss. They replaced that one with a bottle of my favorite just to make it up to me! Ah, the curse of too much time and a too perceptive staff member. I deceived myself thinking I could walk in, fantasize about purchasing Green Chartreuse VEP, but not actually commit to buying something. I was wrong. You see, the staff there are part cybernetic beings with eye tracking software. This enables them to analyze customer's vision and anticipate their needs, like the need for herbal based liqueurs and bitters. One also should appreciate the simple decor, the clean lines, the absence of clutter (i.e. wine points, descriptive placards). Instead you have wood shelves, silver price markers and daily specials. I'll come back for those since that was a first time discovery. And the fact that I walked out with an obscure herbal liqueur that I'm sure I will enjoy. read more

Best selection of wine from 10 to 30 bucks I've found- E-V-E-R! Was looking for vegan wines and Dave printed an entire list for me. They have really reasonably priced wine that is also small batch wine producers. I am a serious fan now. I won't go any where else now. read more

Four Sommeliers are on staff- that should tell you something. Great bottles in every price range. I trust their recommendations, and I don't think they would carry a bottle they thought was the least bit crummy. Really interesting sections of the more peculiar grapes. I would go here and talk to them if you are really into wine, or just getting into wine. Good sprits selection too, beer selection is just okay. They specialize in wine, not beer, go else ware for beer. Free wine tastings Saturdays. If you want a beer Former Future shares a parking lot. If you are going north on Broadway, the road is super tore up after the snow, avoid the far right lane. read more

Divino is a great spot on South Broadway for wine. When I came in I was looking for a quick box of wine, as this has been budget friendly for the house label. They had boxes I was unfamiliar with, but the gentleman working there was knowledgeable and quick to point out the better ones. I went with his advice and was not disappointed. Looking around I saw great selections of wines for a wide range of prices. The man working was very friendly, his dog even more so (I made a new friend, it seems), and I gladly came back a couple days later. They also have a small but great selection of liquor, and I did see a beer cooler in the back but I didn't peruse this. Divino is a great store. I'll be coming here quite a bit, I'm predicting. We just recently moved into the neighborhood and our neighbors all raved about this place. Boy were they right. This place is awesome and the staff is super knowledgeable and super friendly. Bonus, its within a 5 minute walk or a 1 minute bike ride from our house. They recently had a blind tasting hosted with Capelli Floral and Urban Pantry (both great too!). The event was so much fun! And it was a great way to learn about what we did and didn't like without the preconception of a name. read more

I love buying wine here. They have a great selection of unique wines and the guys who work here are helpful and friendly but not too intrusive. I often attend the free wine tastings (not the Saturday ones, but I need to get to those, too!) that Divino does in conjunction with El Paso Imports and formerly with Capelli Floral. I always have a splendid time at these events and really like the discount on the wines featured at the tasting. I highly recommend the tastings and the wine store as a whole! read more

Such a wonderful place with a variety of selections! The staff are helpful and was able to find the perfect bottle for a house warming party I was attending. My favorite liquor store on South Broadway. The selection of spirits is excellent, including lots of local distilleries. I enjoy perusing shelves to try new things. They have a good price range ($10 to $$$$$) so plenty of options for every budget. If you're attempting new cocktails, ask the staff for recommendations. Really impressed with the service, samples and selection at Divino! We stopped in to grab a nice picnic wine during - surprise! - rosé month! We sampled a dry and sweet rosé, along with a nice Côtes du Rhône and local IPA. We walked out with the dry rosé and also a bottle of Cynar. Per the associate's recommendation I'll be trying the Cynar with some citrus sparkling waters. The place is not only human-friendly, but dog-friendly as well. read more

The first time I stepped into Divino, I thought maybe I wasn't supposed to be there. I haven't seen any photos yet to do the vibe justice, but this place seems straight out of noir central, if John Wick stopped at a liquor store in Mulholland Drive. It looks slick, it feels slinky and slightly dangerous, it's stylish as hell. What a delight to find that the service is decidedly warm and open. 4 stars for the variety of options and prices alone, but the fifth star is for the unexpected and substantial 10 bottles under $10.00 display that rotates through near the check-out counter. This is what a liquor store should be. Extremely organized clearly marked and good prices! The selection here is king, the amount of whiskey is just incredible. Divino introduced me to Owen Roe Washington Wines. The customer service (especially from Jason) is among the best I've ever experienced in retail. So much so - I drive 28 minutes ONE-WAY to this place. They order my favorite wines for me and call me for pick up reliably. I've received unexpected discounts for purchases exceeding 3 bottles. I buy 3-6 bottles (not cases) and am always treated like a valued customer. Beautiful wine shop, light, space, free street and side alley parking. Always 1-3 staff to help. Other than a preggo hiatus, I've been a long-time customer and Divino receives my highest recommendation. read more
