But once you're inside, the selection is actually better than I would have expected - though the prices are also a bit higher. MUST VISIT SPIRIT DESTINATION IN DENVER!!!!!…read more I don't leave many Yelp reviews, if any, but felt compelled to do one after my visit here. This is, hands down, one of the better stores I have ever been in from a spirit point of view. Whiskey is my jam, but the allocations that were out across the board were stunning tbh. I was in town for a wedding and randomly decided to drop in. Every employee was wonderful - experienced and friendly. I had a great whiskey convo with a gentleman with an epic mustache and each employee was just as friendly and knowledgable as the last. Having been collecting for years now, I try to gravitate towards single barrel selections - a great way to get a twist on a known taste/profile. I was guided towards pick, after pick, after pick. I ended up walking away with 4 store picks - and they are all delicious (2 of which are arguably the best of that brand I've ever had). Sufficient to say I will be back, I will most likely prioritize a stop next time I'm in Denver (I'm based in Chicago). I cannot recommend this place enough in terms of product and overall experience in the store. I've had my fair share of barrel picks and given the quality and consistency of the ones I've had from there, I can tell their pick team/process is absolutely top tier. MUST STOP destination in Denver!!!!

After the very short walk here, I was greeted by a very friendly cashier and pretty big selection of wine, beer, and liquor. I was glad to see they already had some of the white wines and beer chilled in fridges since my wife wanted white wine. Their bourbon selection was not the most expansive I have ever seen. But since liquor was only 1/3 of the selection and bourbon was an even smaller percentage of that, I was not surprised. Being from Alabama, our liquor can be a little more expensive than some states. So the prices here seemed really good. But I don't know what to compare it to in Colorado. This was a Tuesday night and apparently wine is on special here on Tuesday. I appreciated the cashier letting me know. They had what I needed, i was not shocked by the price, it was very nearby, and the service was friendly. I couldn't justify giving anything less than 5 stars with no real complaints.

I've been staying at home, but was out of some of the beer I wanted to use. I went out for another errand and happened to pass by Cask and Craft. Hmmm...this sounds interesting. Plus it's a local shop, and I'm all about supporting local, particularly during this time. I pulled up Cask and Craft's website and was super happy to see the list of precautions they are taking to keep their customers safe. Some of these precautions include only 2 people in the shop at a time, use provided hand sanitizer when you enter, and even curbside pick up/delivery. Since I was sitting in front of the store, I figured I'd just go in, get what I needed, and quickly head home. I was greeted and asked to use the hand sanitizer upon entering - yes, thank you. I then explained from a distance that I was looking for a dark beer, preferably a stout. I was escorted to the back of the store and shown the fridge with all the dark beer. WOW! big selection. I had the choice of 6 packs, 4 packs, or mix and match. This was perfect for me because I needed 5 beers. I ended up selecting Jackie O's Java the Stout. When I brought up my 5 pack, the owner told me it was a great beer (one of his favorite dark beers) and that it was a solid choice. He was not wrong. This beer is awesome, and paired so well with my peanut butter cookie pairing. So good. I will definitely be back to Cask and Craft. Their shop is filled with all different types of wine, liquor, and beer. It's organized so nicely, and the shop itself has this comforting vibe when you walk in.
