Hi there, I just wanted to say that I am a female who is looking for employment. I have liquor store experience and since there was a help wanted sign posted in the front window, naturally I walked in to inquire. I gave the man my information and application several times, but this time I went in to check up on things, he explained to me that he will not hire me because I am a woman. Now, I really wish that I had recorded that entire conversation, but I was so shocked that I left in tears actually. He explained to me like a child how I should apply at King Soopers because that's where they hire women I have been a customer here for years, and this man had never seemed as though he would discriminate, but I am spending money there so why would he. Either way, please cease to support this company and this man. I am not a disgruntled person or ex employee, just a person who was looking for a job only to be actually told he will not hire me because I'm a woman. Please, take these words to heart. There a several liquor stores nearby that would be a much better choice because we should not be giving our hard earned money to a company that discriminates. I am taking legal action immediately. Be kind and most of all, be aware. Many folks are struggling right now and to be turned down that way, leaving so upset, left me very aware of who I have been supporting for several years. Thanks for your time. I wish I could have left no stars at all. This one star goes to the employees which have been all men, track record for female employees is zero by the way, aside from the owner whom you can catch during the day from opening to mid afternoon, I have had wonderful service. Convenience is the name of this review game. And this location being a half a block from our hotel is what made this decision for me. After the very short walk here, I was greeted by a very friendly cashier and pretty big selection of wine, beer, and liquor. I was glad to see they already had some of the white wines and beer chilled in fridges since my wife wanted white wine. Their bourbon selection was not the most expansive I have ever seen. But since liquor was only 1/3 of the selection and bourbon was an even smaller percentage of that, I was not surprised. Being from Alabama, our liquor can be a little more expensive than some states. So the prices here seemed really good. But I don't know what to compare it to in Colorado. This was a Tuesday night and apparently wine is on special here on Tuesday. I appreciated the cashier letting me know. They had what I needed, i was not shocked by the price, it was very nearby, and the service was friendly. I couldn't justify giving anything less than 5 stars with no real complaints. read more

Price gouging, Prices are very high compare to other stores

You were there for me when no one else was. For that, I give you my everything - 5 stars. I figured that in a place where the nugs flow freely, where one can toke up, puff the dragon, get baked like a goddamn cake - buying wine would be no big thang. This is, however, not the case. I'm from California, which apparently is the land of alcoholic enablement. After getting burned at Trader Joe's (I have to go 2.5 miles to another store to buy wine?!), I was desperate for a liquor store, but *everything* closes early on Sundays. Gah. After some quick Googling, Golden Triangle saved me. They're open late every night, and have the chillest guys running the place. Beer, wine, liquor of all kinds - they've got decent specials running and prices were 100% comparable to what you'll find elsewhere at a liquor store. It's not 2-buck Chuck, but I found a damn-good bottle of Cab for $10. Next time I'll head here first and spare myself the freak-out. Check em' out! read more

As the closest LQ to my work how could I not be a fan of this place? It's on the way home so location is tops! If you're in the hood then just pop on in - it's convenient. As for selection - not too large but not too small either. It's a nice balance for a neighborhood liquor store. Besides, when all you really need is some cheap vodka does it matter where you buy it? As long as it's not from someone on the street or teenagers you're good to go! No idea what the parking situation is like but I assume you can always pull into a spot on Broadway and hop out. Plus then, you get to see the colorful humans who in habit the Ave. just going about their day. Beware of people on bikes...for some reason they like to ride on the sidewalk in this area. I found the employees to be very polite and approachable. When they ask if they can help you find something it's always a good sign that they care about the customers. Lovely liquor store. The gentlemen who work here are super friendly and very nice. They have a great wine selection, and even have the old school glass coca colas we love :) they're always happy to give our dog a treat when we bring her in. Awesome shop. Great prices. read more

Oh my god, people. Get a grip. Homeless exist. They are among us. They're also HUMAN BEINGS. You are in the city. If you find them objectionable, do us all a favor and move far away. This place is on Broadway and if you're scared of encountering something that you find unsavory on Broadway, might I suggest the mid-west? I hear it's a land of zero racial diversity, homelessness, strife, and they probably dine on unicorn steaks and sip drinks made of clouds. Right up your alley. Ahem. This place is a great neighborhood liquor store... the guys behind the counter are always nice and totally helpful when I need a recommendation, prices are fair, and the hours are good. Clean. What's not to like about a place brimming with alcohol? Plenty. The selection is satisfactory, but in that "Johnny tries hard in class but could do better" kind of way. The sales, misleading. When the prices are slightly inflated, having something "on sale" for the regular price does not impress me. I've shopped there enough to have a "VIP" card, and I've come to the conclusion that despite what these points will ever earn me - it's not worth the trouble. read more

Stay away! Dangerous parking lot. Got out of my car and there were used hypodermic needles scattered about. Next to the trash dumpster in their parking lot was a man urinating. Not trying to hide himself, he was facing Broadway. The builidng isn't up to the par of the neighborhood. Enter the liquor store and you go throgh a metal detector, it's like being in one of those movies where you expect the next scene to be shoot out. If you are looking for a great liquor store with service and selection, go 1/4 mile away to Argonaut. read more

The owners of this place are truly awful, but I always end up here anyway because I live so close by. I have found that they respond well to surliness, and that niceties only annoy them. Now that I don't try to be friendly with them anymore, I'd say that we get along quite well. For a long time I resented them for charging at least a dollar more than they should on beers and cheap wines, as well as for having no selection of reasonably-priced Italian wines. But then one day I wandered in a liquor store in Cherry Creek and realized that this store is cheap in in comparison! So now I'm grateful in an ever-so-minimal kind of way. read more

i like this place. Its not fancy, its not an Argonaut, it not really that clean but I have never been in here with out a Hello! from a staff member. I have a question they can answer it and the wine knowledge kinda blows me away. This place is convenient and i like that. I would probably not travel great distances to come here but I like it a lot and am a fan! I have gotten some good deals on wine here that make me happy inside! Selection is good... not bad at all. I live three blocks from Argonaut. You bet your sweet behind that I go there 9 out of 10 times when I want to pick up some booze. However, sometimes, I'm walking the opposite direction, so I'll stop in here. I've never had a problem with this place, though for some reason, it never feels clean, even though they are frequently mopping. This place pretty much is what it is: a neighborhood liquor store. They aren't trying to be something else and I'm sure they aren't trying to compete with Argonaut. Is it my first choice? No. Will I continue to shop here when it's convenient? Absolutely. read more

It's a liquor store, it has what you want when you go to a liquor store. everyone else who has left a review of this place is stupid, especially the one lady that's scared of people peeing. If you don't want people peeing next to dumpster(It's a dumpster, what do you care?) then maybe we should have some more public restrooms around town for people to use. And if you don't like homeless people, then maybe we should try to start taking care of each other. You know, instead of just consuming alcohol all the time. Golden Triangle Wine and Spirits has moved half a block south and it's been a big improvement. Now the parking is in the back, which helps to keep the homeless away. I also like that I'm not walking out onto Broadway with a case of alcohol. I always felt like I'd be more likely to get robbed for my alcohol then wallet at times like that. I've never really paid much attention to the prices, but they've never been so high that it bothered me. They have a decent selection, which is all I'm looking for in a liquor store. We live a few blocks away, so its super convenient. The owner and another guy there are always nice and don't laugh at me when I forget my wallet. They know I'll be back. Yes, there are "nicer" and "bigger" liquor stores, but this one has want I want...alcohol. Oh and it's close enough I can walk. They also have a user card and we've been able to redeem our points several times already. We will definitely be back again. read more

Golden Triangle is a warehouse like booze shop that carries a little bit of everything. The only great thing about this store is the security system and their faux bullet proof screen put up to shield the bad guys. Don't let their wine speicals get the best of you. I bought a bottle of 2002 Chardonnay on sale for $8.99. Not only did they charge me $9.99 but they must have stored it improperly for it had gone bad. I'm probably just bitter because the next time my friend and I stopped by we got escorted out. I vowed to never support this establishment again. read more

My fiancé and I have gone to this place three TOO MANY times! Last night the cashier tall old white guy with glasses EATING greasy pizza and not friendly WHATSOEVER! No greetings just him towering over us behind the counter eating a slice of pizza. "I need your ID" just rude and stale af! Give ID ... runs the sale on register we pay with debit ... fiancé signs .... we stand there looking at him waiting for our receipt... he doesn't say anything so I say "can we have our receipt please?" His response "WELL you signed so that's the receipt, it doesn't print one BUT, I'll print one out for you!" ... I responded with a smile "THANKS, appreciate it!" And walk the F OUT! LAST TIME YOU GET OUR HARD EARNED CASH ! Just flat out rude! Dude needs to be in the back stocking not at the register dealing with customers! Prices are way to high! Argonauts way better will just continue to buy from them instead. This GT Liq was purely attended out of convenience but, NEVER again! A girlfriend and I stopped by here to pick up a beer bribe. I wish we had gone to Argonaut instead. The beer selection seemed to be more expensive and less extensive than Argonaut although the latter may have to do with the stores organization skills. I believe that $8.99 for a 6-pack of Blue Moon is a lot on the inflated side. No thanks - we won't be back. read more

I have shopped often at the Golden Triangle for almost seven years and the place is fine. Not wonderful and not awful. Some of the criticisms surprised me. I'm very quick to spot a salesperson's bad attitude and, certainly, the men who work there are not surly. They don't flash forced smiles like a lot of saccharine service workers but they are always genuinely friendly if you chatter with them. If I'm feeling surly myself, they don't bother me. The guys are fine. The comment about the bullet-proof glass is so off-target (there is no bullet-proof glass in the place, just normal windows) that I wonder what store that comment was about, because it doesn't describe Golden Triangle. The prices are okay, not very high, and not low. I sense that prices are not as low as some Argonaut prices, but this is a smaller outfit while Argonaut is a sprawling booze supermarket with economies of scale and many more customers and sales. This is just a regular liquor store that has the booze at a regular price, maybe a touch high here and there, but they generally don't gouge you. I wouldn't shop there if they did. The place isn't dirty either, as was claimed. A pretty middle of the road experience. It's not memorable and that's fine: you're only going in to pick up some liquor so it doesn't have to be a theme park. Three stars out of five. read more

I am writing this review to put in a good word for the Golden Triangle Wine and Spirits Liquor Store on Broadway. I have really enjoyed the wine tastings done by Zach Padilla. In fact, in my opinion, Mr. Padilla has energized the business with his enthusiasm and friendly service. You never walk in the place without a greeting now. I always feel welcome. I would hate to lose the Saturday wine tastings. Many times I have purchased wine that I tried during one of the tastings. read more
