Very friendly people who being someone from out of town they were able to fill my prescription rather quickly and were true professionals. They will ambush you as soon as you walk in the door to buy a red nose but if it's going to children's charities what's wrong with that? Expect to wait in line as this place is extremely crowded right off of Michigan Avenue. read more

On McClurg--Odd layout for a Walgreens due to size and location. This one doesn't even show up on Google, yet it's right across from a Mickey D's. The staff needs coffee or something. I walked around the entire store 3 times, went past 2 staff doing stock very silently and suspiciously (!) and never got a "hey, wassup?" "How YOU doin?", or anything. They had workout sox and travel size lotion, so I left a Happy Camper. read more

***This Walgreens is right smack dab in the middle of Magnificent Mile; because of that, you can expect to find long lines here, but they have a lot of cashiers and a speaker system to let you know which cashier is open; many hotels are located in the immediate area so this is a very convenient spot for visitors who have forgotten something for their trip*** I am not sure what the parking situation is at this Walgreens. read more

Whoops wrong Walgreens. Stopped in to this Walgreens to pick up some antacid after eating at Gino's East. The store was a bit convoluted but over all, other than the wait to find what I was looking for and the rude patrons, it was your typical Walgreens. read more

This Walgreens is awful. Due to its location, it's always crowded, and with tourists no less so they sit and gawk and don't get out of the way. I never head to a drug store to window shop, but apparently some do... The new set-up is in large part what makes this Walgreens so awful. Without realizing it, I was in the cosmetic's check-out line which was 10 persons deep. When I finally got to the front (one very slow cashier), I asked why a store so large only had one check-out. She explained that I was in the cosmetic line, not the main line. Well, I'm no idiot; the set-up is weird and the "front" of the store with multiple cashiers is not located where I expected it to be. And judging by the long cosmetic's line, I wasn't the only confused customer. read more

This Walgreens has constantly been a life saver during my many trips to Chicago. Located on the Mag Mile, it has provided me time and time again with the forgotten toiletries, the occasional junkie souvenir, the late night snacks, or the extra hat, gloves, and/or scarves when the weather has been worse than anticipated. Because of it's location, it is constantly busy, but this store does an excellent job of streaming through all of the customers and lookie Lou's. If you find yourself on the Mag Mile, and you've lost your chap stick, just used your last tissue, or you need a pair of gloves to go under the gloves you are already wearing on you half-frozen hands, just duck into this Walgreens and pick up what you need. read more

I'm writing this on July 29, 2017. Note the summer date. In Chicago. I went in there two nights ago for one thing. One. Fucking. Thing. Ice cream. The ice cream freezer is empty so once I find someone that actually works there and isn't goofing around with his/her co-workers, I ask about the missing ice cream. Without bothering to make eye contact, she mumbles, "Oh yeah, the freezer's broken. It's been broken for a long time." Hey Walgreens at Chicago and Michigan Avenue- total epic fail and you suck. read more

DeyLuc is truly an asset to this team. I had a horrifying experience with Ventra & it's App purchases. Just know that DeyLuc made my purchasing the Ventra card from this location ALL BETTER!!! The cashiers & her are truly AMAZING and patient with the customers. Keep up the GREAT customer service! read more

A script for just 20 pills (painkillers) was denied because the doctor did not write out TWENTY, just the number 20. Doctors do this all the time. My wife is a doctor. It is usually not ever a problem. After explaining that my wife just had TWINS and needed the pain killer to feed them, the head of the pharmacy said too bad. Then she deleted the interaction from their system right in front of me. Compassion. Professionalism. Not at this Walgreens. read more

It's always super dirty inside. Also, the manager was rude for no reason. He made me super uncomfortable. I was just buying ice cream and he was being so weird. read more

"Can I get a pack of Camel unfil..." "Sir you need to wait in line until the buzzer calls you over." "I did, it told me to come here." "I don't remember that, get back to the end of the line." Hey, do you want to pick up some lip gloss, go grocery shopping, fill a prescription and get some touristy Chicago T Shirts all at the same time? Look no further than this one-stop-shop Walgreens. It's right on the Mag Mile and it's impressively large for a Walgreens. It has everything a normal Walgreens has, plus touristy T Shirts and some fresh food. It can get crowded and that can agitate me. But that's par for the course on the Mag Mile. read more

Right on Michigan avenue, this spot gets a lot of traffic. Lines were long, unfortunately. I needed some ibuprofen though, so I stuck it out. **Seems to be a good spot for Chicago souvenirs!** They actually have a beer cave! Never seen that in a walgreens. The store was a little cramped and crazy, but it got the job done in a pinch. read more

Checkout was speedy and friendly. Was able to find everything I needed. Asked for "disposable razors, " lady directed me right to them. Bee was a sweet girl. Checked me out. Even called me, "Love." "Thanks Love!" What a good woman! read more

So disappointed . The cashier should be more attentive when putt all items inside the bag and more polite for future...

The pharmacy department on this location has been racist they didn't wanna sell me a medication because I forgot my passport I told her that I have buy medicines in any other Walgreens without any problem but she didn't care so she run to the back when I ask her for a copy of the policy read more

This location is perfect as there is not too many stores around the mag mile to purchase drugstore items from. There are a lot of souvenirs for the out of towners to choose from. Please note that this site is pretty cramped but it carries a lot of items such as candy, holiday items, makeup, hair and body items. The staff is pretty helpful with helping out if you need to locate an item. I do not purchase fruit or sandwiches as I don't like drugstore items so I couldn't tell you if they are good or not. There is liquor at this site which has helped me on the rare occasion that I'm going to Millennium Park or Northerly Island last minute and need some booze. read more

Rude staff. All chatting with each other. No attention to costumers. No eye contact. No interaction. Tiffany, who seem to be a manager was there, with the other 5 or 6 employees who seemed bored but didn't care to pay attention to me or other costumers. read more

Great for quickpic snacks, water, etc. Crazy busy place but lots of cashiers

It's usually pretty crowded since it is right on Michigan and Chicago but they always have a ton of people working the register. They have quite a selection of snacks and touristy things but my best find was that they have Mountain Dew Code Red. I've been searching for somewhere to grab a quick bottle for ages and now I have found it. Hooray! read more

Walgreens - Storefront at Night - Drugstores Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This Walgreens gets crowded but it's well stocked. It's one of the only 24hr Walgreens around. If you come on the weekend you should expect a wait but it's not surprising given the location is a tourist highway. I will say the location gives the unfortunate consequence of drawing panhandlers, often right across from the front door. I've never had any issues inside the store but as soon as I exit I can expect to be asked for money. read more

This Walgreens is great for: Snacks and bottled water Small meals (sandwiches, salads, wraps, microwavable meals) Beer/wine Chicago souvenirs (that are less expensive than the tourist shops) Not so good for: Travel-sized health and beauty products Love how there is a line 15 people deep at 11:00 at night. read more

I only visit this location because I live nearby; I patronize the pharmacy often, and it's decent. As others have noted, this place tends to be "tourist central"....they have an entire aisle right next to the checkout line dedicated to Chicago related t-shirts, coffee mugs, shot glasses, and other tchotchkes, which is just fine if you and the family are visiting from Tuscon, but has very little value to those repeat customers who live or work in the area. But I get it...it must be a moneymaker for them or they wouldn't have it. The cashiers at the front of the store are the ones who gave this store a 2 star rating. There are a few who are dedicated and hardworking, and their efforts are much appreciated. The majority however are rude and catty, and will make comments to their coworkers, critiquing your purchases right in front of you. I've been a customer service rep before, and I understand how difficult and thankless it can be sometimes. But if you don't want to be there, you don't have to be. Really. read more

This review is for the pharmacy only. I went there to get my covid vaccine, and the process was seamless. The pharmacists were very helpful and knowledgeable. The service fast and efficient. Would definitely go back again. read more

Photo booths out of print paper, and the staffs NOT HELPFUL at all. Waited for 20 mins for nothing.

This Walgreens is the Busiest for Everything including Drug Prescriptions..Yet ALL the staff from Security at entrance to staff at every counter are courteous knowledgeable more so at the PHARMACY !! Techs and Pharmacist are efficient and helpful As a doctor who lives nearby these are observations and real interactions personally my wife's and mine DR. G read more

I was here on Friday night trying to get a prescription filled. As per usual, my doctor who is a bit older wrote a 11/10/2015 and then quickly fixed it to 11/21/2015. The pharmacist knew that this was a trivial error, but instead she said it's against the law for her to fill it with any alterations. I was leaving town on Sunday morning. She insisted on calling the doctor so we did and she still said per Illinois state law, she can't fill the RX.. Then why did you have me stay here all this time? She was very rude and unprofessional. I cannot remember her name, but I think it was Alana (Friday night around 10pm). read more

Wall to wall people. It's exactly what you expect. Above average cost on everything in the store, lazy employees who don't give a damn if you need help, plus on a very busy intersection with LOADS of foot traffic and only 2 registers open. What's not to love? read more

Always a line.. always. It doesn't matter if I come here at 3 in the morning or at noon. But.. other than that, a typical Walgreens.

Do yourself a favor and do not come here, unless you love waiting on line for a ridiculously long time. I understand I'm from NJ and not the most patient guy in the world, but this place is approaching record wait times. Part of the reason is that the place is incredibly packed, but it seems like there are a lot of people to just come here to hang out which doesn't help anything out. I was originally going to go with 1-star but I'm giving them the extra star because the place is relatively clean for being in a city. The shelves were actually decently stocked, too, and you don't always see that. Still, I'm not heading back. read more

Fairly helpful staff. We came here around Christmas time. It was crowded but i found every thing needed. This seems to be a tourist spot due to the crowds. The snacks are fresh and i Did Not find anything ecpired. read more

This Walgreens is as much of a Chicago landmark as Water Tower and Marina City. It's crowded, full of tourists and locals, has everything you could possibly want from bedazzled "I Heart Chicago" t-shirts to smokes, stuffed howler monkeys to snacks to flip flops, and everything in between. There's a new check out lane system, which I liked; it opened up the middle of the store so there's a lot less gridlock. And, now they sell hooch!! How can you not love this place?? read more

Great store however I gave two stars because this is a tourist area and they only have one wash room:

This is my least favorite Walgreens. Yeah, there are too many tourist but in this area you can't avoid them! The way they make you wait in line is a pain and usually someone cuts in front of me. One brat kid working there gave me shit for buying a pack of Camel Turkish Silvers instead of menthol cigarettes. One bitchy lady working there snagged my military ID out of my wallet because she thought my Oregon ID was fake...I was only buying a lighter. One young guy working there laughed at me for buying pain killers and lube, although I have to admit that is a funny purchase! However, I wasn't planning on using them together. Two stars for the store hours. Missing three stars because of the store layout and employees. read more

I hate this walgreens w/a passion. I wish they would close it down. I dont even know where to start...the old man working in the pharmacy will make my blood pressure go up he is sooooo slow. Please don't ask him to do two things at one time or he'll get confused and move even slower This place is just small and u can't find shit in this store. The cashiers suck.....man "F" this place. read more

Store lay out is odd to say the least. This Walgreens is mundane at best. Plus since it's the only thing open after 10 on the mile your chances of getting stabbed by a bum is very probable. read more

Worst passport photos *ever*. *Ever.* And the woman who takes them with her $79 digital camera then prints them, I kid you not, using the self-help printing kiosks, is rude, rude, rude. Would have gotten more satisfaction out of burning my $15.00. read more

Super crowded! The line blows you away at times, but luckily they're quite efficient with it and it goes fairly quickly. This is my local Walgreens, and I've come here for everything from toiletries (of course) to wine (they have a small selection of spirits for those late-night hankerings). This is also where you can find La Roche Posay products, which I admittedly use (great sunscreen) read more
