I do wish that Trader Joe's was a bit closer to me, because the prices are so reasonable. Additionally, they do make great tasting food. Even though, I have been having weird reactions/food sensitivities to some ingredients lately that make my belly not so happy and brain (I'll get headaches and feel pretty weak all over and shaky), but they're food is very tasty and affordable. It's also really well stocked and organized though they do get extremely busy and trying to manuver my way around the aisles can be a bit challenging. Nonetheless, I went yesterday more towards closing time, and similar to Fresh Market, they are very understanding and they don't like push you out or anything. They will let you shop literally until closing time. I also appreciated how they had security go up and down the aisles as well. I wanted to give a shout out to a cashier named Andy who was very patient, kind, and friendly. A smile goes a long way and sometimes a smile can cheer someone up and his friendly, congenial nature made my day. He was also very helpful though I wish they would give the the TJ's cashiers chairs to sit on because they have to stand stationary in one spot the whole day for who knows how many hours. I feel for people that have to be on their feet all day, but what I appreciated was the fact that even though it was cloaing time he still treated me as I was a guest that he just greeted early in the morning at the atart of the day. I like to recognize those who put extra effort forth and he deserved it so I hope his manager can recognize that. Overall, I think Trader Joe's has an excellent product(s) on their hands and is a well run machine which speaks to administration at the top and how they wish to have their stores nationwide managed. I do wish there was one closer though, but it's not thag bad of a walk and there is always a bus one can take as well. Plus walking is good for you, or good exercise...I just believe in giving credit where credit is due and it's pretty amazing because everytime I go there is always someone restocking the shelves and they work so fast and so diligently too. Like yesterday there was a woman stocking packaged salads (though I do enjoy salads, it's not my go to when I am super hungry) but man was so fast and efficient. Same for this other guy in the Asian inspired foods aisles, like he was making sure that the freshest items were at the top of each stock pile. I was truly impressed. I am sad that I missed out on the Trader Joe's tote bag sale, but hopefully there'll be another one:) I do wish they were a bit bigger in size though because then you could use them as bags to shop with while there at the store and it's good marketing for them, like how Aldi has this giant recycable tote bag...I wish Trader Joe's did the same....maybe one day‍ Also they have really lovely peonies available now. Flowers make me happy

Since discovering Trader Joe's, it has become my go-to destination for groceries. Trader Joe's at River North location may appear compact but they pretty much have all the stuff that you would expect at most TJs! TJ and Whole foods are the only two stores that keep bringing in innovative healthy Vegan products. The staff at Trader Joe's River North is consistently amicable and helpful, adding to the overall positive shopping experience. Its downtown proximity enhances its convenience, making it my top choice for grocery shopping. I highly recommend this store with an enthusiastic rating of 11/10!

Sweet spot, normal Trader Joe's. Just as great as all the other ones you see across the country. The workers think it's funny guests take pictures here.

Travel- May So this my first time reviewing a grocer but this is one of my favorites and I was so happy it was within walking distance during our stay. We gathered quite a few things and even left the unopened items for the staff that we couldn't take on the plane. Love this place. Please try the tangerine juice if you're on the fence I always have to get 3 as they get gone pretty quickly at home.

I can always depend on Trader Joe's. Even when traveling

I believe a Trader Joe's should be on every corner like a gas station They have just whatcha need!

As waiter came to the table we received dirty napkins and spoons. When food finally arrived, it was cold so we had to wait a couple more minutes. Just my worst experience for my first time here. People know about self-checkout, clearly guest will rather go through the regular check out. Those males they have over there in the deli have ruined the quality of the hot or cooked items over there. I've heard a customer request the $1 item and they said there wasn't any more they'd have to cook them, THEN turned and said they wouldn't have time. They stand back there moving so slow it's unbelievable. The one guy with the real thick glasses has a real nasty attitude. Every time a woman asks for something he's speaking under his breath about them. I hear because I stand a wait for another guy to come available because I never want to deal with him and he speaks negatively of the customers because they have request. Personally, I decided to just go to other locations or other stores, if I want something from the deli. The store is clean, but it be so crowded.

They're full sized pieces and their breading doesn't overdo the flour making it dry. Maybe they add milk to the batter? I'm not an expert cook but it's always consistent and popular with others when I'm there. Aside from the fried chicken that comes in a box I like their sandwiches boxed ready to go. Their parking lot makes the store a gem compared to others in this part of Chicago. At Walmart you can't park and leave with a pack of gum in under 20 minutes without mass transit to get you to the building. Here you can park quickly and grab the products you want and roll out just as quickly. I like they're locally owned (or are they?).

Well slap your Abuela! She needs to come over here and get…read moresome lessons from them on how to REALLY cook. Trust me... As always, I am looking for new fantastic restaurants, and stores to try out, and share with: family, friends, and on Yelp. As you walk in it seems like a common corner store, groceries in the front, meat towards the rear. When I walked to the back I had a pretty good hunch this would be a great one. The fresh smell, it was very clean, and the amazing eye catching signage. You could feel like you just walked into in a sweet little store in Mexico. When they handed me the food I ordered I knew was on the right track. When I took my first bites I smiled, and knew, I needed to share this place. I was intrigued by the Pozole Verde sign out front. I had never had it before, so I placed my order for that and zero regrets. It comes out in a quart container with a plastic wrapped foam tray with: chopped onions, cilantro, radish, shredded cabbage, and mexican oregano. I added mostly everything but went easy on the oregano. The chunks of chicken were tender and not overcooked. The hominy and vegetables were just right as well. They have this to a science and it has to be near perfect. Now to the tacos: As you often see in neighborhood grocery stores the chorizo was hanging in back above the meat counter, so a house made chorizo taco was a given. The Al Pastor was reccomend by the one of the butchers, and I had a steak taco to round it, and myself, out. All I can say is that like the pozole everything was superb. Even the salsas.. I wish I knew of this place when I worked and lived in the area. I would definitely have known everyone there by name. I still smile thinking of it, and next time I'm in that hood, I will be there. I look forward to trying out a few more menu items, and picking up some of the fresh meat. So maybe don't slap Grandma... but you should at least pick her up and take her out to lunch here. Enjoy! #AlfieEats
