Entrance. Smaller version of larger H-Marts

Hard to describe how this H-Mart felt. It felt like it had all the products and features of a normal H-Mart in a suburb, but had like 2,000 square feet less to work with. Makes sense given it's in the heart of Chicago, but the aisles and the common areas definitely felt tighter than usual. Paris Baguette on-site and plenty of Korean grocery items.

Awesome. So many cool foods, clean aisles, hard to find products and amazing seafood. The staff is friendly and helpful

Very nice asian grocery store. Have been a few times to grab lunch, breakfast and even some groceries. I have been working nearby the last few months and value this store. Inside the store there is produce section, seafood section, meat section, sushi and made foods. In addition to the grocery store there is a bakery and fast food options. The frozen section is extensive also. Lots of favorite Asian snacks, candy and teas available here. Check this place out if nearby. Conveniently located off 90/94 (Adams) with a free parking lot. Some prices were higher than other Asian markets but this right downtown so expected.

Such a gem in the city with a designated parking lot! I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of Korean and Chinese foods in this medium sized store. I've been to locations in Southern California where it's the size of a regular grocery store. Everything is neatly organized and separately into sections despite the narrow isles. The produce section is decent as well as the refrigerated sweet snacks (cake, rolls and mochi). They also have live seafood in the fish tank! I was able to find some great frozen dumplings and savory pancakes. They also have a great selection of BbQ meat and thinly sliced beef for hot pot. The icing on the cake is literally the French bakery in the front of the store! Features fresh baked buns, breads and pastries that also offer coffee and Boba drinks. Highly recommend this store for all authentic Chinese/Korean groceries!

H Mart is a supermarket that specializes in Korean and Asian groceries. They have fresh produce and fresh seafood. Walking in the store was clean and well organized. The produce section was so bright and vibrant. Everything was in place. They have a wide variety of foods, snacks, meats, etc. you name it they got it! There is a section to sit and dine in which is an added bonus. And they have a Paris Baguette located near the front of the store. I can't wait to go back and stock up on my favorite snacks.

I noticed there was an H Mart in between Union Station and the hotel where I was staying, so I started walking. I honestly don't think I've ever been to an H Mart (we don't have them near where I live) but I knew it would be amazing. I didn't buy anything except some ready made food, but I'd love to go back and explore more. I did check the candy/snack aisle and saw some of the items we got in Japan, so that was fun. They have a lot of frozen items, fresh produce, seafood, and more. They also have a little food court area with a few stalls, ready made food (like kimbap, onigiri, sandwiches, sushi, etc.) and a bakery. I grabbed some triangle kimbap and spam musubi. They were both really good and had me feeling nostalgic for Korea and Japan. I'm glad I got to check out H Mart even if I couldn't buy all the things I wanted!

Was so excited to finally be able to check this grocery store out! HAD to get these ice cream bars I've been wanting to try forever and they're sooooo good - highly recommend (specifically mango). When I go back I'll be grabbing the peach one to taste. I also got a cream donut that I haven't yet tasted but heard good things about them on TikTok haha Only thing I'd say that made me take away a star is customer service. They don't make you feel too welcomed unfortunately.

Huge place, you must check out the food court! The workers aren't the friendliest but they have a great selection of everything! If you go to the food court check out sjd! I got A1 with beef regular spicy level. This was not that spicy!! Huge portion, and came with a side of rice, kimchi and corn.

Quality/Quantity - Some interesting never seen before products and food, see pictures. Check out this pink glow pineapple. We got a few drink flavors we have never tried before and some snacks. Korean sushi and fruit. Our go to place for snacks. Good meal kit or ready to eat items. A few restaurants in the food court, etc. Their quality has always been good for us, but the cost reflects it. Atmosphere - Open 7 days a week from 9am to 10pm. Small parking lot. Service - Good. Price - Above average, but you have to pay for quality. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success. We did not expect to see a H Mart in Chicago. Fun facts: The "H" in "H Mart" stands for Han Ah Reum - a Korean phrase meaning "one arm full of groceries." Congrats on being the largest Asian American Supermarket with 84 locations, including international locations in Canada and London, especially from your humble first 1982 store in Queens, NY.

I have been to H Mart in Koreatown NYC at least every month for a dozen years but it does not compare to H Mart Chicago-Much cleaner with fresher, better priced items especially meats, seafood & vegetables. The service is friendlier with better technology including having a smart savings card to accumulate points to be used anywhere in the USA. Students also get a 5% discount Monday-Thursday. Lastly it has a Seoul inspired international vibe with co-branding of other Asian eateries in their food court including the stat Paris Baguette. Looks like a great place for Lavazza coffees, ramen and other Asian delights. Looks like a great place for a meal near Union Station!

The grocery store is huge and has a variety of Middle Eastern and Turkish goods. I bought several cheeses, from Kashkaval to Halloumi and most importantly my Labne! The meat looked extremely fresh, but I wasn't going to risk dragging it on the train with me all the way back to downtown, but I'll definitely keep that in mind if I drive back there. The isles are organized and neat. There's also a mini bakery in the store and it has delicious sweets and lots and lots of fresh bread. They also have the famous Middle Eastern Mankushe (thyme and cheese flavors)! I wanted to buy so many more things but there's only so much I can carry with me. The employees were super helpful and helped find a few things I needed. The only reason why I am giving 4 stars is because there were some expired items in the fridge, but nothing that drastic!
