Wow a Walgreens with staff available to help !!! Easter wasn't the only miracle. Very pleasant shopping experience

This seems like a solid location. I received a friendly welcome upon entering and polite directions. I chose this location because they have a disposal box for expired OTC meds and prescriptions. This is good information to have. Like other locations, all the national sales are present here, including BOGOs, and buy one-get one. Since the medication disposal box is by the pharmacy, I was able to hear some interactions, and found the employees to be courteous. At one point an employee even searched for a lower price for the rx for the customer. Someone was told she had to wait, and it was done kindly, presenting options for waiting. I see reviews with the complaints, but on this day, the pharmacy was running fine. read more

Thank you to Walgreen's pharmacy on Bell Blvd. I was having serious pain, and had just left the nearby ER. I had to stop at this Walgreen's to pick up some strong pain medication that couldn't couldn't be taken until I got home (I was driving.). I called to ask if they could get the RX's ready ASAP. Adam took the call and said they'd get to work on it immediately. By the time I got there, the one-time-use heat pack from the ER that had provided some relief, was already cooling, and my pain was extreme. Adam found a heat pack, microwaved it, and handed it to me, giving me enough blessed relief to be able to continue my drive home. Thank you Adam for being so caring and helpful. You are appreciated more than you know. Additionally, I want to thank the other pharmacy employees who sped up the process. read more

Absolutely terrible pharmacy. I went in there to get my refill, I live 5-6 hours away but come here for doctor's appointments. I asked. If I could go ahead and transfer my medication to the pharmacy that I have where I live since I can't get anyone on the phone here. Instead of taking the pharmacy's name and number where I live, the pharmacist accuse me of lying when I explained that I couldn't ever get on the anyone on the phone there. She said that was "simply not true." Now, I have to go home, without knowing if I'm going if I am going to be able to get my refill of my medication next month. I will be definitely be changing pharmacies the next time I am in town. read more

If I could give this Walgreens zero stars, I would first and foremost the pharmacy department is an absolute nightmare. Anytime I go in there or in the drive-through it takes over 45 minutes. I don't know if they need a better system or to hire more employees . The problem I'm having is that they sold me $140 and nasal spray then are trying to lie about it And I have Medicaid and I told them I didn't want that and they still charged me for it they are so rude. It's ridiculous and the issue I'm having is that I sent my spouse to go pick up one medication and they're saying that it's my spouse's fault because she should've asked more questions. I just find it funny that I told her to go pick up medication and all four nasal sprays and one medication I needed were in one bag so I don't know how they wanted her to be able to see through a bag to tell that there was more than one medication in there. so I will never use Walgreen again. No wonder they have such crap ratings. This is the WORST Walgreens PHARMACY make the extra drive to go to the one off Cypress or the one in leander. read more

This is the slowest location I have ever been to. They call to tell you to come pick up and you wait at least 30 minutes in line.

The pharmacy technician told my wife that her antibiotic eye drops were not covered on our insurance and that would be $75 please. How could antibiotics not be covered?? My wife asked for her to double check the coverage. The technician simply repeated that they weren't covered. When my wife insisted that she double check the coverage, the technician finally checked and said that they were actually covered. FORTUNATELY my wife has the confidence to talk back when she feels something isn't right. But I would bet a good number of people would have just paid the money for a prescription covered by their insurance. I don't really expect much from chain drug stores like walgreens, but this location has been my least favorite. I've visited a couple of times since it's right down the street from me, and every time there's random stuff and boxes everywhere, and the organization of some isles and shelves is just sad. The cluster and messiness is going to keep me away for good and I won't be coming back to this location. I don't blame the employees however, rather the company themselves. I see the cashier's coming out from behind the counter to stock and do other tasks, so I know they stay busy. Best Drugs in town. LOL, Okay so best prescription drugs in town. Since I now have to get medication every month, this location was convenient. Then you get to know the workers here. Always smiling and helpful. Most times it is very clean and organized. If I feel lazy, I use the drive thru. Not too often as my meds sometimes don't fit in the tube. This is the busiest pharmacy in Cedar Park so if you have to wait you know why. Their service is outstanding. Bending over backwards to get you what you need. You can use their phone notification service. They will call or text when your prescription is due for renewal. They will also call or text when your prescription is ready for pick up. Sign up for their prescription club and for each purchase the amount goes toward your money off purchase. read more

Worst Walgreens in history. 1 tech to check out a line all around the corner, and just slow as slow can be. No sense of urgency. Standing on concrete for half an hour, then when I get to the window, the tech says "oh we just received your prescription, should be about 2 hours." Me: "2 hours? Seems like a long wait for 1 order." So I live 10 minutes away and decided to head home and rest, and as soon as I get home, my app goes off and my prescription is ready. Had an appointment for a thing at 3:30 granted they seem to be working hard and struggling at catching up. Had to come out of state for surgery; when requesting my prescription, it was denied by the main Pharmacist because apparently there have been many out-of-state patients and they perceived it to be a "red flag". Well, that's what happens sometimes; people travel for surgical/medical procedures because their insurance covers it, it's probably not available in their state, or it's cheaper than what their state could offer.....my physician had called in my order for approval anyway, and it was still denied but wasn't told till I got there.. If you're denying antibiotics or pain medications that's a big deal. Fortunately, I was able to get my medication at Walmart..... so please go to WALMART if you're out-of-state, you won't get treated like a junkie criminal even though you have a health plan/ insurance to cover your meds! read more

As a fellow employee of a healthcare organization I find it appalling that they have no "down time procedures." Show up to pick up an antibiotic for my sick kid and because "the computers are down" they can't give me the prescription that has my child's name on it in a bin behind the counter. Ridiculous. No idea when would come up just can't do anything. Computers go down, that's what they do. A competent organization has policies/procedures in place for when that happens to not delay care. Walgreens apparently does not. Then when computers finally back up they try to charge us $35 for amoxicillin. Amoxicillin. Didn't ask for insurance card, just acted as if that's what it costs even though it's on every $4/5 list there is... Apparently it's an incompetent organization that hires incompetent people that are taught to scam the public. They will never get our business again read more

I am SO disappointed in this store. The wait for prescriptions/appointments is far too long and it takes them days to fill a prescription to the point that they have to do partial refills or send customers to other locations. I had a MENTAL HEALTH refill sent in on the 11th and heard nothing from anyone so I walked in on the 14th and was told they'd get started on it immediately but that it'd take 30 minutes because it's in a time controlled safe. I came back an hour later and was told the exact same thing by a different pharmacy tech, so they obviously made no effort to start on it as previously stated. Despite being given that 30 minute timeframe again, I sat there waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes only to be told they don't have it in stock and the only explanation I got was that "the computer system has been wonky" yet that's not a true excuse because they track controlled substances on paper and don't need the computer in order to type a code into a safe. It baffles me not only that it took a pharmacy THREE DAYS to inform me that my medication was delayed but also that multiple staff members had NO IDEA that it was even out of stock, which forced me to go a whole week without it. This is such a disgustingly irresponsible way to handle controlled substances and mental health medications that cause withdrawal as well as affect a person's mood, anxiety, and depression if stopped abruptly. I will NOT be going back. read more

I have been calling for the past 2hrs now (Started calling at 8:30pm) waiting on a prescription that was sent in 3hrs ago. My child's script was sent in at 7:30pm. Each time I called it was not ready for pick up according to their automated service. So I decided to hold for the pharmacy the last time I called to check on it. When you call they state that this pharmacy is open until midnight. Are they? Are they really? I think NOT! I've now been on hold waiting for 50 minutes to talk to someone. When I first called there was 3 callers ahead of me. Then all sudden just switched over to their elevator music with NO ONE ELSE AHEAD OF ME!! WTF!! You lie! Change your hours to be accurate and you screwed over my son whom is in need of his antibiotics! The kid can't sleep! If I could give this pharmacy a zero I surely would. The pharmacist asked if I had any questions. I did have a billing question due to the unusual cost. I was unable to hear the pharmacist over the speakers that are obviously old and worn out. While not being up to the task. It's sad this is a national chain with thousands of locations but they fuck up the most basic things. The pharmacist explained they were going to lunch and was unable to provide an answer to my questions. They didn't ask me to come in so I could hear the explanation. She just wanted me to go away so they could taken lunch. This was like a shitty call center. They hire the worst employees. Female pharmacist working 2/15/23 refused to fill a handwritten prescription with a control number. They sat on it for 18 hours while my husband was suffering level 10 pain from a broken kneecap and then refused it. People's filled it in 15 minutes. Walgreens either makes no provision for electronic systems being down or this pharmacist couldn't care less about the patients, maybe both. This pharmacy keeps losing my prescriptions. I've lived near them for months and my Dr has switched my prescriptions to them long ago, a fact verified at every trip to my Dr, but these people continually blame my Dr or my last Walgreens or bad computer connections for their failure to produce my meds on schedule every month. I've literally gone directly back To my Dr and had her nurse call my prescriptions in, right in front of me, and had these loose nuts try to pretend my Dr is the problem!!!!!! OK so this is the closest 24 hour Walgreen's to me. So when my procrastination and laziness take hold and I bone head out picking up my meds until the last day and after my Walgreen's closes this is where I find myself (usually at 2 A.M. and none to happy.) the staff is always pleasant (this is no small task at 2 in the morning.) and are crazy quick. I call them from my store "hey, it's me, Mr. Moron. Can you hook me up?" answer "sure, it will be ready in about 30 minutes." I jump in the car and speed over there (no one else is stupid enough to be on the roads at this time.) 15 minutes later I'm picking up my meds. Walgreen's is great, poor planing on your part becomes an emergency on theirs .... what kind of a world is this? read more

Pharmacy could use some help. For a popular location, they run incredibly slow, no matter what time of day it is.

Rude pharmacists and technicians. Won't go out of their way to assist in anyway. They don't read notes in the system until already telling you what the situation is. I know more about what my screen says, and I haven't even seen it! The pharmacist with the colorful hair and on fleek attle is kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. The rest could learn a thing or 1! As of today, won't be using Walgreens on Bell anymore. Disorganized chaos and being on hold 20 min before hearing a voice describes initial contact with this pharmacy. read more
