I like that there are a lot of testers to try out on my aging skin. There's a lot to see and check out, and employees have always been nice to us here. My only complaint is that I am constantly in trouble with my wife for going to Ulta too often and spending too much money!

I've interacted with several different staff members, but today I had the pleasure of being helped by Angie (if that's not her name, I apologize!). She has a bright, welcoming personality and offered great advice and recommendations. Talking to her felt like chatting with a friend I've known for weeks, even though I was only there for about 20 minutes. All the other staff members I've met have been incredibly sweet as well. One girl even told me that if I needed any assistance, I should let her know, and she would be happy to help. If you've read this far, I assume you're considering leaving a review. Please remember that if you don't achieve the result you wanted, it's not the staff's fault. They are doing their best to assist you in any way possible. Please be kind and avoid exaggerating your negative experiences just because you're not satisfied.

They also carry Japanese cosmetics. Their Skinfood prices are about $1 cheaper than Ulta, excluding sale. The owner said they opened earlier than expected so they're not fully stocked yet. They sold out of the Missha BB Cream in natural beige. The sales lady's second choice BB Cream shade made me look like Casper, the Friendly Ghost. One of the sales ladies couldn't understand English well enough when I asked if I should use BB Cream in combination with Cushion. Luckily, the owner was there to answer all of my questions and requests. The sales ladies will not apply or touch your face. For that, I would recommend shopping at Nordstrom in the Korean cosmetics section. They didn't have any cleanser to wipe foundation off my hand. It's a new business, so ask the owner if you need anything. I asked the owner if she had any cleanser for testing the foundation on my hand and she responded, "Oh! That's a great idea." She promptly asked the sales lady to break out a new package of cleansing wipes for me. I purchased Hera sunblock for $35. According to the owner, Hera is hotter than Sulwhasoo in Korea right now. At checkout, they threw in four free samples and a face mask. Their face brushes are soft and reasonably priced at about $3 - $5.

Then she proceeded to tell me Sephoras return policy. I told her first find my purchase date, if it is past there return policy date you can tell me. She was asking me unnecessary stuff. She was taking a while looking into it and then she again asked me when did I buy it. I had already told her I didn't know when I bought it. By then I saw how she was fumbling around and she didn't want to figure out how to give me my refund. She was making it so complicated that I told her to get somebody else. Mel came and within a minute she was able to handle and gave me my refund. Thank God for contrast. Otherwise we wouldn't appreciate pleasant experience or know it when bad experiences happens. It's not the knowledge that they're lacking but it's the attitude and their communication skills. I once was in line having to witness them talking down at an elderly woman who try to pay using her Walgreens membership. Rather than attempting to help her out, the associate was short and had a demeaning attitude. It's terrible and unnecessary and I would avoid interacting with them at all cost.
