The only thing you can count on with ALL Walgreens Pharmacies is that they will most definitely screw up the billing on your prescriptions and that they will NEVER have your medication ready when they tell you it will be ready!!! Worst pharmacy in town every time and I mean every time has been the biggest hassle will never have another prescription sent to Walgreens

I usually like going to Walgreens, but lately I've had a terrible time with getting my prescriptions filled or even just picking up a prescription in a timely manner. Today, and many other times, I waited 25 minutes in Drive Thru to get my prescription, I would've left but was blocked by another car and could t leave the queue line. In addition, this is the 2nd time that Walgreens has given me a 3 month supply of medication when that was not authorized or asked for...normally this wouldn't be a problem but I'm trying new medications and don't know if I will need a 3 month supply! I approved a refill for 1 months supply of medication, I expect to get 1 month supply. Please DO NOT authorize multiple months of medication, I don't care if my "insurance covers it"- then when i meet with my doctor in 2 months and they want to change my medication- my insurance is going to say no because I already received meds for this month! The service is usually friendly enough, but damn was I pissed after waiting 25 minutes for a prescription only to find out it's been done wrong. Absolutely unreal! read more

Tom at the photo booth made my day! I walked in with a broken picture. He stopped what he was doing right away and assisted me. The cashier was very kind to. Did not her her name unfortunately. This just happened at around 1:45 pm today. Did not charge for the small damage. It was missing loke a piece of plastic but boy he took everything off and made it like new. Awesome job! read more

I had a 2:30 appointment with the pharmacy for a covid booster. I arrived on time. There were at least 7 people in front of me. I left, the line wasn't moving and I could see it would be at least an hour before I got the shot. Terrible scheduling!! Never again, I'll go where I can be seen at the time I scheduled, not an hour later. read more

This is the worst friggen pharmacy I've EVER been to! My daughter works at one in Michigan and has for 15 years. She was here 2 weeks ago and tried to get a transfer here as she forgot hers at home. She tried calling 3 times and each time she was on terminal hold. At least 15 minutes each time. We eventually just went in. The lines either drive in or walk in is like 30 minutes at least. The staff are rude almost all the time. They refill prescriptions based on pick up dates not fill dates. I've never had a pharmacy do this! I e only been with the fora few months but I'm changing pharmacies. I HATE this pharmacy. My daughter said the staff was rude as well. Go elsewhere if you value your time! read more

Worst business ever, needed COVID vaccine, called to make an appointment and was given time and date as requested, was sent a confirmation code and all the on line paper work requiring fill out prior to the appointment. Made a special trip for the vaccine ONLY to find out they have NO vaccine available. I should have been notified, and was assured by the operator over the phone that it is confirm and if anything happens they will notify me. NO true, when I asked the pharmacy clerk why they did not contact me so to not waste my time was told they are not up to date with the on line system. Obviously not a business to be trusted, especially when it comes to your health care needs! read more

Deserves zero stars for their customer service and ability to fill a prescription. I have been trying to get my blood pressure prescription filled for five days now. I still do not have it. My husband switched to Smith's pharmacy months ago and has had no issues with their service. I just called my physician's office and asked them to move my prescription to Smith's pharmacy. read more

Pharmacy service is incredibly slow. I sat in the drive through for several minutes with no acknowledgement, wondering if they were open (despite the hours being posted clearly saying they were open). It took 10 minutes before even seeing the pharmacy tech. There were then issues with them not having my correct insurance information which resulted in an even longer wait. I don't know if they're understaffed or just incredibly inefficient, but I can't imagine any reason that picking up a simple antibiotic ointment should have taken this long. read more

I got so much grief when I would need to fill my prescription a day or two early because I work long hours, that one time I almost had to cancel my vacation, a trip I'd planned for a year! Our daughter was having a baby at Carson City Tahoe maternity and delivery unit on 10/5/2021. We wanted a rapid Covid test to see our almost here grandson for the first time. My husband was helped the woman employee that handled the drive through testing. She was extremely helpful and eased our anxious concerns. She's a keeper!! read more

Worst pharmacy ever. Nothing but trouble from this pharmacy. An example, trying to fill my prescription. They say it is filled but not ready yet. What does that even mean. The pharmacy said come back in an hour it will be ready. They have said that for four days straight now. Not to mention the lines are long and the staff is extremely rude and smug. read more

Absolutely the worst service in the pharmacy. I feel sorry for the employees, as they always seem to be short staffed and overwhelmed. The people who work there are very nice and you can tell they feel badly about the crappy service the customers are receiving. Plan on a minimum of 30 minute wait to pick up, even when the phone app tells you that your prescription is ready. Walgreen's needs to hire more pharmacy employees! read more

The Pharmacy is an absolute Joke! It's always slow and always backed up! WITHOUT FAIL! I've been going to this pharmacy since I was a kid and in the last five years it has just gone downhill! There is one pharmacy tech who always has a bad attitude, never smiles and makes you feel as if you are an inconvenience to her. Well, in the last 3 days I have had to go to this pharmacy multiple times... And each time there has been a ridiculously long time to wait. The first day there was a line of 3 people inside, and I thought it wouldn't be too long of a wait... Well I was wrong!!! We were there for 35 minutes and I was just dropping off two prescriptions. When it was our turn I asked if we could get an estimate of how much the prescriptions would cost, just to see how much out of pocket we would have to pay. The lady replies "I can't tell you the price without ringing up the prescriptions but it will be around $61.00 for all three medications." (Turns out my insurance paid for everything) the next day we were picking up said prescriptions and the line was even longer than the first day... And today I dropped off another prescription and I asked if they had an estimate of when they would be filled and she replies "well, I can't tell you, we go on lunch at 1:30 and it just depends when we get back" uh cool. I finally get the notification that my prescriptions were ready to pick up and we decide to just go through the "drive thru" that is another ridiculous thing this pharmacy has. We were second in line and after waiting 15 minutes with no movement we just left, annoyed and angry. Why have a drive thru if you guys are not fast at all, I would like to give the benefit of the doubt due to staffing issues or whatever but when this is an everyday occurance that's when I choose to blame the staff! There should be rules at least for drive thru, to make it more convenient to the customers! Like I mentioned earlier, I have been coming to this pharmacy sense I was a kid, and now I'm strongly considering taking my business anywhere else!!!!!! read more

The pharmacy is terribly understaffed! You can expect to wait 20-30 minutes to pick up a RX if you go in the mid morning. One person works the counter, the phone, and the drive up window. This is the only Walgreens in Carson City or I would use another location. I am considering using a different pharmacy. In addition to the pharmacy issue...the store floors are filthy, the parking lot never gets cleaned...trash including beer bottles are all over. read more

I thought I would give the Walgreens in Carson city one more try today after using a reno, nv Walgreens for over a year due to having to work tonight and my pharmacy was closed for lunch. BIG MISTAKE. After letting the clerk know that I needed to work tonight and asking how long it would be. 3 hrs later, my prescriptions not ready and clerk eating on the phone when I called to check on them, I'm going to work without my medication. Don't use the Carson city walgreens! They are all overweight and lazy! If I worked like that at my job, people would die. Thank God with one son as a Dr. And my other son a nurse, I raised them with work ethics and integrity. I am not only letting my physician know what happened but also calling corporate. The pharmacy is a joke. Trying to change to another one. I went in for a flu shot today and had an appointment for 9:40am, rushed from across town cutting a meeting short so I was not late. I checked in at 9:30 and was told to wait in line behind 10-15 people. So why make an appointment? Also the the clerk I spoke with had such an attitude. If you don't like your job Quit!! I just don't understand all the poor reviews! The pharmacy here is great! My situation is tricky, between having changed doctors (multiple doctors in my records and being out of the area) back home, just before moving, and changing to a new pharmacy, and the staff here has pulled my refills off without a hitch. Every. Single. Person. I have dealt with, has been patient, kind and helpful. Sometimes you just have to take those negative reviews with a grain of salt. Some people are just whiny and entitled. Amazing customer service. Traveling in from CA. Debbie and the staff made sure my rx was going to be waiting when I got off my flight. Moving here is stressful, but they made it easy. Sometimes as customers we meed to be patient and remember the staff isn't there to make us mad. With all the new laws and insurance verification, filling a RX is more complicated than you think. Terrible, awful, rude, dismissive, condescending and should absolutely not be a pharmacy. I have been absolutely harassed and discriminated against. I was treated rudely on the phone by a pharmacy tech 6 months ago . I spoke with the pharmacist informing her that I was hung up on 3 times and treated horribly. The pharmacist proceeded to tell me it was my fault and I was NOT ALLOWES to call inquiring about my medication until after 1pm and they may or may not fill them.. Since then I have spent the last 6 months trying to have my scripts sent to CVS. This pharmacist has refused to send my script, won't speak with my doctors, nurses and even my insurance. She has refuses to send my scripts repeatedly, even said Gabapentin was a narcotic (not true) and that they sent it to another pharmacy.......she couldn't answer which pharmacy. I had to go without medication for days because she said it would make my life easier if she filled them all on the same day. I have a heart condition that makes this irresponsible and dangerous. I am still getting texts stating I have medication there to pick up (that should absolutely not be refilled by a pharmacy that I have severed all ties and has no doctor authorization). Then informed me it was put back on the shelf....what medication did you fill?...why are you filling medication at the same time as another pharmacy?... This is behavior is borderline illegal activity. Ihave called several times to be removed from auto fill and was informed I was not in the system, yet 2 hours later I get a text saying they filled 2 perscription. . The insurance can't work with them, my doctors and nurses are angry and frustrated at their total r disregard to patient health. Cvs has requested my medication many many times without a response. I have no clue how the pharmacist is still employed Her insolence, and irresponsible behavior have made my life a living hell. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews before transferring my out of state prescription to this Walgreens location. I have now experienced the frustration expressed by others when trying to get my prescription refilled. It's a shame this pharmacy cannot get it together. I've filled prescriptions at other Walgreens without a problem, but there is always an excuse or delay in my prescription being ready when I attempt to pick it up. After yet another fiasco today, they are losing my business. There are plenty of other pharmacies in the area....avoid this one unless inefficient and poor customer service are what you're looking for. read more

While I think the pharmacy staff at this location mean well, the pharmacy is either chronically understaffed or, more likely based upon what I've seen, the pharmacy manager doesn't know how to set up processes and systems for customer service (and overall management of the pharmacy) that actually work. Nine times out of ten the wait time is unreasonably excessive. In some cases it seems that they decide to have the entire line wait while they fill a prescription for someone who walks in and demands immediate service and refuses to move until they are served, the hell with everyone else. The drive through is little better though there are times (few and far between) where the service there has been OK. At other locations, you drop off the prescription and pick it up later. That system worked very well every other place that I have lived in this country (which is well over a dozen, from Alaska to the Deep South to the East Coast). read more

I am done using this pharmacy. I have been coming here for a couple years and have only had problems in the last couple months. The first time all i wanted to do was pick up some ointment for my infant. Which you would think wouldn't take very long at all. Well I got told two different times in the drive thru that it would be a half hour. So finally after the third time I decided to call first and they tell me that my prescriptions been ready for hours because it's just something they have on hand but they didn't have my insurance on file for some reason so all that time wasted for no reason.... Today, my son has an ear infection and all I wanted was the antibiotics to make him feel better which they told me would take an hour. It's been two hours and I just tried calling them and they told me that I've been waiting so long because I didn't sign up for the text messages, which they of course didn't tell me earlier. Well it's been two hours and my son isn't getting any better and I'm over it. I think they need to retrain some of the people here because I can see I'm not the only one who has had problems.... read more

A terrible pharmacy! I've called 3 times and each time was on hold for 15 minutes. Only for the phone to be picked up without the person saying a word and to be put on a different hold system and being forced to listen to pan-flute music for 10 more minutes. Then the person picks up the phone, doesn't say a word, and hangs up. Once or twice is a mistake. Three times is abhorrent customer service and poor business practices! Wish I could rate it less than 1 star! Worst pharmacy EVER. Every time I have to call, I wait for an hour. Wait in line at drive thru for at least half an hour same with waiting in line in the store. My auto refills never get refilled. When the pharmacy is supposed to fax doctor for refills they don't. Then they blame the doctor when the doctor never got any fax from them. This must be the fifth time I've complained. Horrible service. I've seen them pick up the phone and hang up without even talking to anyone and I've been hung up on. I have used this pharmacy many times a month for about a year. The staff is plenty friendly, however there seems to be quite a turn around of newer people. Since the one male pharmacist retired a few months back the regular staff is more stressed. They are short staffed with the amount of business they get in such a small area. my prescriptions are getting messed up constantly and some of the employees are not educated enough to answer questions. I am moving my prescriptions to another pharmacy and hope it is more efficient. I feel bad for the employees being overworked because of being understaffed. read more
