After she looked for my prescription without finding it, instead of telling me, "Sorry, I can't find it; please step over there and someone else will be with you," she instead said, verbatim, "Nothing here. Go over there. Next customer!" (One, maybe two, customers were in line behind me.) I had to ask several times for her to clarify what she meant (Was I done? Should I come back later?). She was just so rude and off-putting but eventually she did tell me that there was someone else who would help me. Such an easy thing to say off the bat! Will not use this pharmacy again. Also: dang, I wish I had read the reviews before having my Rx sent here! Lesson learned.

Village Pharmacy is the opposite. They answered the phone promptly, processed me in-person quickly, answered my questions patiently, were friendly and knowledgeable. They accurately estimated the time to fill the scripts, and I got an automated text once the scripts were ready. They do compounding as well - they are a real pharmacy, not a chain of pill counters. I will definitely go here for all my prescriptions in Incline Village going forward.

I have only been almost squished about 3 times in the last 10 years. Not bad for Reno. CONVENIENCE: They are no longer open 24 Hours. The Pharmacy window is only open 9:00am to 8pm with a half hour closure for lunch. The rest of the store still cares a huge collection of stuff. Items that apparently are "shoplifting magnets" ie most beauty products are now in locked shelves. ATMOSPHERE There seem to be fewer "dodgy" patrons than in the past. Shelves are better displayed and don't seem as cramed. It is clean and well lit. SERVICE: Still pretty slow, and staff has been drastically reduced. I have had no problems with either the pharmacy or the front checkout, it just takes a while. On the plus side, staff are friendly and professional. My insurance no longer covers prescriptions from Walgreens. I just learned that Walgreens is not affiliated with the large third-party Pharmacy Benefit Manager. So the convenience and location have been major factors in me continuing to shop here.

While shopping in the refrigerated section, I found packaged hot dogs still displayed for sale with significant greenish/dark discoloration compared with the surrounding product. I took photos because the difference was immediately noticeable and concerning. I'm not a food inspector, and I'm not going to claim I know exactly what caused the discoloration. That's precisely why I think it deserves to be inspected by someone qualified to determine whether the product was safe, properly refrigerated, within date, and being handled according to food-safety standards. This wasn't a dented box or an item sitting on the wrong shelf. This was refrigerated food being offered for purchase that looked concerning enough that I wouldn't feel comfortable feeding it to my family. Walmart needs to take refrigerated food quality control seriously, and I believe this particular situation warrants review by the appropriate health department. Low prices and convenience mean very little if customers can't feel confident about the condition of the food on the shelves.
