I don't know why other yelpers write about this location like it's in the middle of some ramshackle ghetto, cuz it's not. It's on a major road but there's a cute little neighborhood right across the street. This is not a dangerous spot. This store is like many other stores in middle class neighborhoods that are slowly declining into a lower income bracket, but that's nothing to be afraid of. That doesn't mean the people in this area mean you harm, or are doing anything other than going about their boring lives. The store is fine. Average store. I went in to use the bathroom because, yet again, I was on a Garrison Brothers job where I couldn't access a bathroom. We do a lot of jobs at people's homes, so it's not like I expect to be let inside, or for their house to be accessible. My own family wouldn't make their homes accessible to me, so I have very low expectations when it comes to accessibility that isnt mandated by law. You need to be let into the bathroom. There's a keypad lock. I started doing the peepee dance while I waited for someone to open the door. I cannot stand having my body functions controlled by strangers who could not give less of a fuck about someone else's pain. Locking bathroom doors is a ridiculous practice. Customers only is a ridiculous practice. People have to use the bathroom. It's a body function. If we fail to let people take care of their business with some dignity then we cannot be surprised when people pee in alleyways, drop a squat in public. They're left with little choice. We force people to act like animals and then hold it against them. That's appalling. The bathroom was clean and roomy, but I won't go back there, if I'm ever on a job in that neighborhood again, simply because I was forced to endure pain in order to fit into someone else's schedule. This is unfortunately a really bad Walgreens. And it's probably mostly due to the fact that it's located within the ghetto of Brooklyn Park. I mean I lived in this hood, I know it's ghetto. But the Walgreens never used to be. I remember going here years ago and it was clean and organized. Now it's just dilapidated. I went there with my son to print photos and they advised that they're no longer giving out cables for people to use at their photo machines because people were stealing the cables. That's meth-head behavior and not our problem. There were gray carts everywhere, it was dirty, and overall bombed out. I do feel bad for the people that work here because they have to deal with all this BS. The cashier seemed stressed out. I can't blame her. 0/10 read more

My doctor sent over my prescription last week and then I get the phone calls that it's ready but I'm on vacation so, I'll pick it up when I get home. I go to pick it up after sever phone calls from pharmacy just for them to tell me it's not ready. So, I leave for a few hours to run my errands and then yet again they calling and texting me saying it's ready. Of course I go to pick it up and they still talking about it's not ready so, why the fuck are you calling me and texting me. The pharmacy in this store has gone downhill since I first went there 10 years ago. This morning just to check on why a prescription was not auto-filled as we had signed up for, we waited 40 minutes on hold, and finally hung up without getting an answer to our question. They never answer the phone. You wait in line forever when you go in person, even if there's only a few people in line ahead of you. Last year we scheduled appointments for flu shots and waited forever past our scheduled time, although there were no others waiting or getting shots ahead of us. The tech or whatever her title was seemed confused and not competent at all. We will be switching pharmacies. read more

I was honestly trying to rate the Labcorp at this specific pharmacy. I recently stopped going to Labcorp labs (the standalone ones) because of Covid. I am fairly certain I caught it sitting in a crowded LabCorp. But I won't say which one as it was a whole year ago. I hate getting labs done. I can handle tattoos, I can handle cutting up dead animal flesh (Its part of my job), but I can never get up the courage to deal with someone sticking a needle in my arm to draw blood. I have to mentally prepare for it every time! I started coming to this specific pharmacy for service. The ladies that are in this specific LabCorp are top-notch. They know exactly how to talk me off my ledge of desperation and uncertainty. It is generally a pain-free experience every time. They even make sure I am ok before I leave and will hold a brief conversation with me before I leave to be sure I do not have any issues post-draw. Honestly, it only takes ONE bad experience to ruin you for life and I am very clear with my venipuncturest EVERYTIME. Please do NOT stick and dig for my veins. I also do my part and ensure I am fully hydrated before a draw. The rest of the pharmacy is well stocked and clean. The guys and gals in the pharmacy area, specifically, I have always overheard, as friendly. read more

IMO the female pharmacist or tech, Salaya (sp) needs to be retrained in customer service or needs to be removed from answering the phones. OR finds something she actually has an interest in doing, because it ain't helping people. I wait on hold for 20 + mins at a time. 20 mins in store (with 2 toddlers). The most recent time I was hung up on twice. Once by the system and once intentionally by the her. The male, Tyler, is absolutely PHENOMENAL. He was going to be the reason I put up with the other lady but after our conversation yesterday, I will pick up my rx today but any future RX will take place at the nice little private pharmacy 1000 feet behind Walgreens. Ballsy putting one behind corporate but I know exactly why. It takes nothing to not be nasty. If you don't like your job but you're there for the money, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. Our world is in a mental health crisis, you don't know peoples struggles. What you should know and be aware of is that everyone is struggling with something and you never know when someone might just be right on the edge. Train your employees to treat your customers with respect and then follow up and make sure they continue to do so every single day with every single customer. Every month since NOVEMBER, this woman has an attitude. Not only to me. She was this way to my boyfriend before she knew who he was there for, then smiled in his face. Teach them not to judge people by the medication they take. And have taken for 20 years, never having an issue. 10 months ago my mother passed away unexpectedly. I rely on my medication to wake up and function like a human being so I can be healthy for my children. There's a national shortage and absolutely everyone is having trouble filling their entire rx. Because I request my rx (same day every month) earlier than they "are allowed to fill it", doesn't mean I'm abusing my meds. It means I'm calling it in early so y'all can order it and have it so I can take my Rx together. But y'all don't see that you've screwed up my regimen.....not me. Teach them what happens to someone's mental state when there's a NATIONAL SHORTAGE and Walgreens is dropping the ball. Teach them to listen to their customers instead of them assuming they are answering the customer's question. After this month, I will never step foot in Walgreens again and neither will my family or anyone who asks for a recommendation. As for Tyler, he is like Walgreens little Gold Nugget. I encourage him if he ever sees this, get a raise, or seek employment elsewhere, you don't deserve the wrath this woman has hung over Walgreens. You are much more valuable and if it has ever been a thought....DO IT! I don't ever write reviews. But I'm a start today. Our world is a struggle for everyone, it's time people recognize that. Give Karma a little push. If you're angry...stay home. If someone anger you...go home. If you can't keep composure in public, especially at your place of employment, go heal yourself. Absolutely Terrible service. How is it I go in to the pharmacy to make an over the counter purchase, and right as the guy goes to get the product, is told by another associate in the pharmacy, who is on another working register, that the registers are not working at the moment. The customer service and approach were terrible. Yet this also happened one other time before. Never going to this location again for anything. They should have left rent a center at this spot. read more

I swing by this Walgreen's pretty often for last minute things. Always greeted by someone upon entry. Always helpful and kind.

If you are thinking about sending a FedEx package from this location, I have three words for you. DON'T DO IT! To make a long story short, I dropped a package off there to be sent and the package has not been seen since then. It has never shown up on FedEx for updates nor has it been delivered. After numerous phone calls and a second visit to the store, I still cannot believe how incompetent that location is when handling overnight packages. You would think that someone there I would have called FedEx for a pick up when my package did not leave their location for two days. But, ignorance reigns supreme and no one even thought to do that. That store could certainly benefit from a manager who has some kind of managerial training, and some good old fashion common sense. I cannot fathom how they let someone run that store who had no better sense than what I have seen dealing with this package. Walgreens should be ashamed of hiring someone so incompetent. So, please tell all of your friends do not take a FedEx package to that location because it will vanish into thin air. Very sad but very true. read more

Normally I wouldn't bother to review a Walgreens, but the service I experienced yesterday at the Walgreens in Brooklyn MD (on Ritchie Hwy) was so awful I had to say something. I had to pick up a prescription which I rarely do in person. I verified with the online service department before heading there that the prescription was called in, and they assured me that it was ready. I got there and after waiting in line for 15 minutes (they seemed more concerned with helping the people in the drive thru before me) I got to the counter and they told me, quite rudely, they had no record of the prescription. I asked them to look under my full name (sometimes the doctors confuse my nickname and my full name). The cashier told me to wait while she went to talk to the pharmacy manager. She came back and told me to go see the manager about it. I went to the pharmacy manager and he was absolutely no help at all. I had looked at my online account earlier in the day and it said I had 13 refills available, but he still told me it was showing I had none. I asked what the doctor's name he was looking was, and it was my previous doctor they were looking at, not my current one. Of course my previous doctor is not going to fill it! I asked him to search again with my new information. At that point he took a phone call, and I'm pretty sure he pretended to look up my info because when he got off the phone he told me they couldn't find it and couldn't fill the Rx. When I got home I looked at my account and of course it was showing I had the refills. I don't know what was going on with their online system, and I understand there might have been a glitch or something. But the employees, especially the MANAGER, were so rude about it. It was clear they just wanted to get rid of me because they could tell I was mad. It was ridiculous how they made me feel like I was wrong when I knew I was right!
