this store was just dumped the prescription from a local drug store right across the street they said nothing to the customers just had all the calls routed to Walgreens one Monday morning & thats how people found out then when they closed some walgreens down they dumped the scripts & bags on them too..it a very small area the head pharmacist Minjoo was fantastic but dont know where she went think they move the fantastic workers around to help stores that are lost ,..nobody answers the phone they cant its ringing all day usually only 1 person at register helping pick ups then theres the drive thru...its obvious Walgreens CEO dont care I have known 2 woman there for yrears & they are fantastic with all the people yelling at them like its their fault....Gina & Jackie need to get a few raises doesnt all have to go to the CEO & there are 2 Men I dont know their names & they are great workers .....do something for these great people besides dumping stores on them .....people leave when they feel used Tommy & Francesca fantastic workers they left good for them.....I want to thank them for all they do.....I dont see Veronica anymore ...last time I saw eronica she was chasing someone out door & tossed a rack that had donuts on it man who was filling it got hit with it Why is she running after these people they might wait for her to leave maybe harm her or her car.....dont know who is in charge there ...I think CEO just think their all from Bronx & just dont care how ...now dogs are running around the store ...Thanks again Gina , Jackie & 2 young men ..few others dont k ow their names ....reward these people . read more

This review is mainly about the pharmacy. I've come to the conclusion that this particular Walgreens is only good for the occasional sale item, convenience store stuff and not for their pharmacy. As medication fulfillment goes, the ratings are in, and it is an unfortunate 1 Star. The Pharmacy Department is so severely short staffed that prescription fulfillment can take multiple days to be processed. This pharmacy's turn around time is not a same day or 48 hour process. They are more along the lines of 5, 7 or even 10 or more days for fulfillment. That is a huge problem. The two positives I've found in the pharmacy department are for one, the staff are really nice. You can see them working really hard while you wait on a long line of customers to be helped. Smh. And the other thing they have going for them is their text/phone/voicemail medication notification system. It works fairly well once your severely delayed meds are ready. But if you cannot get your meds timely these positives are overshadowed. Sorry Walgreens Pharmacy, we've opted out and have found a Mom and Pop location that has a same day turnaround, as it should be. One more thing. First and foremost, I had to leave a star experience in order to post this review. A pack of tampons was opened on the shelf; it was the last one shelved. When I asked the manager (Michael J) if they had any in the back (the quantity could be the same or less) he said he didn't know...I would have to wait for him to be done with what he was doing. Michael didn't seem interested in being helpful or in delegating one of the employees to check for me. read more

It's true that they're definitely understaffed. However, if there's an issue with your prescription, it is their job to contact you and tell you why. For a patient to be sick and have their medication in limbo with no answers, is totally unacceptable and unprofessional. read more

Walgreens 3590 East Tremont Veronica Sack the store manager is extremely RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and shouldn't be dealing with anyone because she has zero skills on how to communicate & handle a situation. I filmed her smiling and smirking at me when I tried to complain about Gina who works in the pharmacy and I expressed that Gina was a dangerous employee to have there especially when dealing with medication. Gina was aggressive, rude and unprofessional as well but the manager Veronica was WORSE. I'll be posting the videos all over social media so people in the community is aware of these two. We waited for two weeks for a prescription to be filled and kept getting it's in process bs. I then interjected when my daughter told me how they were treating her and she was scared to go into the store because of Gina. I called, spoke to and recorded my conversation with Gina where she can be heard being rude and unprofessional and basically telling me the medication was out of stock and that she told my daughter that. Which she didn't I listened to my daughters recording of her conversation with Gina. I told Gina she did not tell my daughter that and she continued to be rude so I told her I'll deal with it with the bosses. MAGICALLY 10 minutes later my daughter gets a text that her medication was ready. I'm thinking how? How is it ready when Gina just said it was out of stock?! I called my daughters father so he can pick it up the next day ... next day he was given her medication opened and ripped open. Not put into a white paper bag as normal instead inside a ziplock back. I of course was concerned and contacted her dad who then called the store and Gina picked up. He recorded his conversation where Gina can be heard saying nothing can be done and could careless about our concerns. She was rude and extremely dismissive. I then call to speak to her boss who is the pharmacy manager I'm told by the name of Minju Par. She could care less about my concerns and my complain in regards to Gina's behavior. She did offer to replace the medication with a SEALED box. Wow, isn't that suppose to be common practice for the safety of the consumer? She too was bothered by my persistence of safety and professionalism. I request to file a complaint and she brushes me off to the store manager Veronica who I went in to see and speak to the next day. Veronica says right away when I told her who I was yea I heard with annoyance in her face and voice. She too didn't care. I don't care what they tried to explain if medication calls to be in a sealed box then it should be given in a sealed box but they kept saying it's what they do. No. Been getting this medication for years and it was never given in a ripped or open box. I informed Veronica I was putting the videos and audios online and she shrugged her shoulders like a toddler, smirked and said ok. So I will. Veronica must be related to Gina because she Was upset that I kept saying Gina shouldn't be touching patient medication instead of being concerned about dispensing opened medication. Long lines, photo area a mess, piles of papers on top of each other and always have trouble finding photos that were ordered. Pharmacy staff needs a lot of training. The staff up front never a problem. However One time I went to pick up my photos and the girl was eating on the counter licked each of her fingers then handed me the envelope of photos. Disgusting. They need organization, more staff to help with the influx of people and train these people on how to deal with customers. Don't use this location I feel it's unsafe and the Gina in the pharmacy shouldn't be there. I feel she's a danger. read more

Terrible service. There's an elderly cashier who makes up her own rules lol. First she tells my fiancé that he "the limit for a chime deposit is $250, if you try more it 'could mess up'", whatever that means, I guess could've been a glitch with their system but today the same employee, AND the manager, gave me an issue. Now, I was trying to purchase three items. Two were No7, and the other was by Neutrogena. I had a coupon for $4 off the Neurtrogena item, and everything No7 was BOGO 50%. On top of that, one of the No7 items happened to have been on clearance. Original price $39.99, sale price was $10. Lucky me, right? I watch the prices come up on the screen, and see that the discount on the clearance item isn't applied, so I let the cashier know there's a sale tag under the item on the shelf, and show her the item in my cart on the walgreens app and ask for a price match. She immediately calls the manager, Veronica. She asses the situation by checking the shelves, she claimed there was no clearance tag even though there was, looked back at my phone and said "it's on sale at the Crosby location, not this one because some stores are trying to get rid of certain items, and some aren't". I immediately wonder who hired her because WHAT?? I remind them both that they cannot deny me a price match either way. Veronica rolls her eyes, goes to do the price adjustment but removes the BOGO 50% off, and $4 coupon. When I asked why she said "yea 'cause you can't do it all like that". The lying was was frustrating me at this point, I had to walk out. I walked out to my car, placed the items for pick up, used EVERY coupon, and went right back in. The elderly cashier had a attitude, manager stood at the door with her arms crossed. I would've taken my business elsewhere if another location had had all three items I needed in stock. while " trying" to refill a prescription on the phone I waited 15 minutes on hold with absolutely no one picking up the phone.two days prior I used to automated recording to refill the same prescription and the pharmacy said it will be ready the next day.Low and behold it WAS NOT FILLED.its really sad that not only was it not filled but having to wait on the phone for 15 minutes and no one answers is a terrible way to treat people that need their medication. read more

We're in the middle of a pandemic. Literally hundreds of people are dying every day...you would think face masks would be the bare minimum requirement for employees and customers (seeing as, by law, both are required). Not here they aren't. Employees are wearing face masks on their necks (didn't know COVID-19 was only transmissible through your neck) and they let two customers in without any face masks (again, very ILLEGAL). If you want to risk your life to get your prescriptions, I recommend going to the Throggs Neck Pharmacy across the street, where they actually take this plague seriously... read more

This Walgreens sucks in the pharmacy.. we sit saids to walk in for vaccine and when you get there everyone is upset "because there is already 41 people" on a list and everyone is upset! Why? Got my Covid Vaccination at this Walgreens yesterday. I was expecting to have a wait, cause I have see the lines on TV all over the place so I got there an hour early. I was pleasantly surprised there was no wait. The workers at Walgreens were extremely helpful and friendly. The lady taking my information couldn't have been friendlier . The same for the young woman, who gave me the shot. She explained everything to me and really made me feel comfortable. Anyway wanted to thank them for providing such a nice experience. read more

This Walgreens Suck...! Especially The Pharmacy Department. Have no type of Privacy. Asking for your address every time you pick up your medication should be a HUGE!!! private safety factor. I will never Utilize that location ever again. They don't have your medication and don't even try to find other ways to help their customer; by At-least suggesting to go to another walgreens for your medications...
