I will never go back there for prescriptions. The worst pharmacist I've had to deal with. I do like the rest of the store and employees though. They are friendly and helpful but I've never had such an experience as I did when trying to fill a prescription. The pharmacist there is rude and treated me as though he was my dr. by refusing to fill my Rx by telling me that my dr should change it to something else! I had my insurance on the phone since I was told it was an insurance issue at first. My insurance assured me that there was no problem. He "Andrew" the " pharmacist" actually argued with me. I used to buy prescriptions from a different lady who worked there and she was always helpful and knowledgeable. So, this review is only for SAMUEL IN PHARMACY. That guy hates his job alot. But he hates his customers more. He gave grief to three people in line, in front of me. And then I was the fourth. I'm not mad, I'm just changing pharmacies. And I hope Samuel isn't mad either. But I do hope he changes careers. He's not really interesting in the helping people part of the job, or the being pleasant in public part. I would give no stars if I could. Rude, always out of stock, NEVER answers the phone, drive thru takes a minimum of 25 minutes to even get to the front, indoor wait times are just as bad. I was or prescribed two inhalers for my 5 year old daughter, one for school and one for home. They would only give her one because the "dosage for both was overkill" and would not let me refill for two weeks. That was the last straw, I'm switching to rite aid immediately. read more

They suck. There is never anyone around to ring you up, usually 1 person for a long line. The pharmacy is the worst. Slowest service ever, there can be 2 cars in front at the drive thru and still have you sitting a minimum of 30 minutes. Usually nothing in stock, their early close hours are stupid. Absolutely no excuse for the grief and suffering this pharmacy creates for patients with absolutely no compassion. Surprised they don't have a bullet proof shield to protect themselves from the hostility they experience on a daily basis due to their lack of professionalism or ability to even fill prescriptions that are very necessary for people to survive. My husband is forced to detox from his medications every month no matter how much we try to prevent it. His unnecessary suffering is brutal and just cruel. I have been a customer of this Walgreens for years,but today that has changed, I went there to talk to the pharmacist about a defective inhaler that gave me and the would not help me just wanted to use another of my prescriptions to fill it again, I told them I wanted to try it before I got charged again, and just like I thought it was just another defective inhaler that didn't work, needless to say I did try it it didn't work either now I don't even have the original one I left it there I was so upset the pharmacist said he didn't care if I reviewed him, so I will say they only care about billing you and they could care less about long time customers so I am done with them! Update. I'm taking away my five star rating. Beware of the horrible computer system. It has deprived me of a needed prescription for two days. The formerly friendly, helpful employees are very stressed out. A chain this large can and should provide customers with a decent automated system. This particular system was an "upgrade" that can leave a frustrated called in tears or extreme stress. Getting a prescription refilled should not be this difficult. read more

Update....previous review was for the Walgreens by the Super Target (Bass Hill Rd) They closed the store as of June 2015. However, the Walgreens on Navajo and Hwy 18....next to Del Taco....is still open. Update Jan. 2016 I've taken advantage of the pharmacy drive-thru a few times. It can take a while. Longer than the Walgreens pharmacy drive-thru (store) that was closed on Bass Hill Road. read more

There are some serious problems with the Walgreens Pharmacy at this location. I have been trying to sort it all out and get our medications for 2 weeks. First, we have three people in our family needing medications. All three of our doctors called the prescription into Walgreens. First I was told my sons medication had to be ordered and they claimed they did so that same day. I got an automated call saying it was ready, but when I got to the store I was told they did not have it and it would be filled in the next few days. It took another week to finally get it. Two weeks after my medications were sent to Walgreens I still could not get them filled. They claimed they never got them. My doctor said they were flat out lying and called them in again. Still nothing according to this Walgreens. So my doctor sent my prescription to Queens pharmacy and it was ready for me to pick up in less then 30 minutes. My husband has four prescriptions for medications he has to take. We checked with the doctor. He told us he sent them the prescriptions electronically twice. Still this Walgreens claims they do not have them. They claimed they have to send a request to the doctor. I got automated calles telling me the prescriptions had been filled but when I go to pick them up they tell me they are not ready and there is no order for the meds. Everytime I go to this Walgreens lately I have to wait around 45 minutes, whether it is inside or drive through, just to be told they are not ready to pick up. None of this makes any sense. Obviously the doctors are sending the prescription in. Walgreens is messing them up. They probably did fill my husbands prescriptions but they could not find them so they just gave me an excuse to get rid of me. On top of all of that, they have on multiple occasions closed the pharmacy hours before their normal closing time without any notice. Today I went to try again to sort out my husbands medication situation and there was a sign on the door stating the pharmacy was closed due to an emergency. All I can say is, if you live in this area and care about your health and the health of your loved ones, do not go to this pharmacy. You will probably be dead before you get your medications. read more

I loved this location when the old store manager was around and Taja is a sweetheart however the manager Rex has the worst customer service I've ever experienced and it's every visit guaranteed. I spend a lot of money at Walgreens and he always gives me a hard time or denies my sales and threw a fit that I accidentally got two free photos which I didn't realize I did, I explained to him my phone didn't show the first one ever went through so I just tried it again then it worked but I guess they both printed. when I told him it was accident he accused me of using multiple accounts which my husband does have an account and I do to so even if I did what's the big deal if we each got a free photo and I picked them up? Thanks to Rex I'm officially done with that Walgreens and being treated like crap every time I walk in and this time all over a stupid $3 photo. read more

Just had surgery and the walgreens pharmacy can't even keep the right medication in stock in any of the local stores, this is second time I've been there where they have run out of my perscription, or just didn't carry it, so if your have an important or serious condition or in a lot of pain, you will ever better off finding a reliable and dependable pharmacy who are actually prepared. read more

I do not use the pharmacy here so this review is just of the store. It's a Walgreens. The employees are mostly really nice people. I am terrible with names so I can't really call anybody out specifically except Manny (whose name I remember because he's cute and I kind of have a thing for him). There's one employee who is perhaps not the most pleasant but I think he's just socially awkward. Not trying to get anybody in trouble so I omit names. I avoided this store around the holidays because they somehow managed to find the loudest, most annoying Salvation Army bell ringer in the known universe. Aside from just not liking her, I absolutely do not support the Salvation Army and their backwards, culty religious nonsense, so any store with a bell-ringer automatically puts me off. read more

First of all as a veteran who uses VA insurance to get things like flu shots (which is already a fiasco), I didn't appreciate being told I could get a vaccine at this location just to arrive there and have to be referred down the road. That was in October of 2016. When I asked the other location if I could have a record of the vaccination, they told me I could get that at any Walgreens location that could verify my record. So today, I went into this location to get them to give me a copy of my record which they clearly had and admitted to. The first representative handed me a flu shot assessment and didn't have a clue what form to use. I re-directed her back to someone else who then didn't know how to print my record. She then re-directed me back to the Pharmacist who said that because "her form" had their address and was different, that she couldn't verify my vaccine even though it was RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. I didn't even ask for her signature, just a copy of my own record. She was the one who was discussing a separate form. I just wanted what they had in the system already. That's all that was required. Just needed someone to provide me proof of the vaccination. I didn't need her to "verify that she was the one" who gave it to me. I tried to explain to her that I keep getting tossed back and forth between the two stores and I had another engagement and didn't have the time to keep getting passed off to other stores. I told her this was bad customer service and I told her that it was perfectly legal to sign that there was a record of the vaccination and to write in the actual address (since it was she who made THAT an issue) as it was just to verify I had a shot. She said it was illegal to give me my record since it was not HER who administered it!?!!! That's ludicrous because how does she think this gets handled when the original person who administers a shot no longer works there? Is there then a manhunt for the original administrator?!! Of course not, she was busy and was being lazy. She then walked off and sarcastically thanked me as I walked off. Completely unnecessary. She did not need to antagonize. I went to the other store and they verified that I didn't need the original administrator but a copy would have sufficed which wouldn't have even required her signature. They apologized on behalf of this store. I tried to give the pharmacy manager a chance to deal with this BEFORE writing the yelp review but it was more important to play hold games for over 15 minutes instead of hearing me out. read more

I went online to order an xbox for Christmas. It said 2 left in AV- so I placed the order. Never got an email, but the money was taken out. The next day, still no email. I checked my account and it shows the money coming out and going back in. I called- they said they sold out so they cancelled my order. Really?? How did it let me order- and why wouldn't they at least email me and tell me its cancelled. Now they put me on a waiting list and will notify me when its available.
