This is the worst Walgreens pharmacy I have ever experienced. The store manager, Amanda Coffelt, does not know have an ounce of customer service or communication skills. I've had multiple issues with continuity of care with this pharmacy and will not be back. Amanda needs serious retraining and more appropriately a job which doesn't have her dealing with the public. She has no personal skills at all, her threat to call the police was a joke, as I confirmed with Allen PD that no such call was made. She was just mad that I wouldn't pull up in the drive thru after less than 5 minutes while they tried to right their wrong after I had initially waited 45 minutes for the car in front of me. We sell ice,propane,beer and wine! That sign caught my eye at exactly the right time. I had just left the grocery store heading home and didn't realize I'd forgotten ice. My ice maker had gone out and I needed cold. A quick in and out saved me the headache. Thanks Walgreens! read more

Called about an important change to my Rx. Got put on hold and kept there for about 10 minutes. Every once in a while someone would pick up then just immediately put me back on hold. All-in-all I was on hold for about 45 minutes with no answer. I am transferring my Rx's ASAP! Worst customer service I have ever encountered. read more

Amazing how everything seems to be 3 times the cost from what every other retailer charges. I had moved my prescriptions from them for this reason 2 years ago, coupled with slow Pharmacy staff. But I thought well Bayer Asprin shouldn't be that much different. Well it was roughly 3 times what competitors charge. I placed it back on the shelf and will now for sure never return to any Walgreens in any state I own property in. And I will make certain I share my experience with everyone I come in contact with. The customer service here is phenomenal. As a grandparent caring for a suddenly ill child(parents out of town), we had to get a prescription as soon as possible. Every phone contact was met with caring, kind, efficient staff from the pharmacist to those checking me out. I am so appreciative with how pleasant the experience was. And the checker in the front also provided good advise on how to best navigate out to the main road during heavy traffic. Bravo to all!! And thank you so very much. Normally I don't care to review pharmacies but I would like to share my recent experience. I was saddened to hear I couldn't go to CVS anymore after recently switching medical insurance. So I went to Walgreens, never using them before, but I figured it wouldn't be any different. When I first requested my prescription, I had a difficult time communicating between my doctor and Walgreens to ensure that I get the right brand. This took at least 6 calls and I was at risk of going off schedule with my Rx. After that, things went smoothly until most recently. Without any notification, Walgreens switched brands again, and it took 3 visits and 2 phone calls to finally get the brand I needed. What ticked me off was that on my first visit on a Saturday, they told me about the new brand, which I don't want to use, so for the brand I want I needed to come the following Monday. I call on Monday, and they said my preferred brand is available and it would be ready by 1 PM. I visited at 1 PM, and it wasn't ready. With that, I was clearly frustrated so I made it clear that I need clear confirmation before making another wasteful visit. Finally on the next day, I got my Rx. This was a headache and waste of time. Also, no apologies from the staff. Sheesh. I truly do hope this doesn't happen again but it does, I will be looking for another pharmacy. read more

They don't price match their own online prices. The website said you could buy it online and pick it up in stock at the store but they wouldn't sell it for that price. There was a $25 price discrepancy and the process to check out online was too much of a hassle once already at the store since you have to create an account and what not. When a manager came over he was very young and not equip to adequately response to an upset costumer. read more

We have used this pharmacy for 12 years and loved it. They have switched to a new system of outsourcing your prescriptions and it's horrible. We can never get our medications on time anymore. Sadly we are going to change to another pharmacy. read more

How do you review a Walgreens? I have a mental checklist of what could be great and what could be horrible about a Walgreens type business. So here we go. Clean? Check. Friendly? Check check. Good product selection? Yep. They have good holiday decor and necessities, cards, toys, seasonal items, food (convenience store selection plus - snacks, candy, drinks, refrigerated and frozen section, and oh yeah, BEER!), meds (of course), beauty items, etc. We frequent this Walgreens because we live pretty close by, and I have never had a bad experience. They have a drive through pharmacy with two lanes. read more

This particular Walgreen's has been our pharmacy for almost 5 years. Until the last year or so, the pharmacy service was personable and professional. But the last straw was yesterday when I needed an RX refilled. It is a controlled substance so the guidelines are a little different. First off, they didn't have the complete amount that would have caused me to go for another script from the doc office. So, the pharmacy tech checks with Karen the pharmacist about availability. Not only is Karen condescending and rude, she actually whispered something to the tech then laughed. Don't get me wrong, I'm not insecure but I do believe in professionalism in the workplace. Karen always acts like she is bothered and speaks down to people. Not only did they tell me to call to check to see if the medication came in the next day, (shouldn't they have offered to call me?), I was told it would be at least 10 minutes for them to check the other stores. They acted like that was a problem. I told them I'd do it myself! After driving all over Allen, we went to the store on Stacy and Greenville. They went above and beyond to fill my script and they were so sweet and professional. Even though it is not right down the street, I'm thinking it's time to use another pharmacy. I don't need someone to pat me on the head and treat me like a child. Karen needs to be gone! If she's the one training all the new folks, which it looks like, there needs to be another plan. She's turning out people just like her. The previous pharmacist and little blonde tech were always professional and had a smile. I don't deal well with condescending customer service! read more
