This location is tiny. It explains why when I look online to do a bopis they never have anything in stock. I finally went in to have a root touchup and tape ins moved up. I had an appt and still waited 30 mins for my stylist. It was my first time there because I go to another Ulta stylist in another state, but my hair had grown out too much. I had a stylist assigned with the initials MM, I won't put her full name out there, because she did me WRONG! She yanked the hell out of my hair. I kept telling her it hurt, and she'd spray more alcohol in it without letting it soak, and yanked it some more. I told her before she started that my scalp is super sensitive and 45 minutes for a root touch up is way too long to sit to process. No acknowledgement. Then, she left my color in for almost an hour while she washed, dried and styled some other employee's hair. When she blowed out my hair she put in volume mousse with alcohol in it before taping my extensions back in. Once my hair was dried I told her where the placement normally is and not to be too high, especially since I wear glasses sometimes. She did Her, not what I asked, and went at it. My extensions were literally sitting on the top right and left sides of my head between the crown and my temple. Ugh. It was impossible to hide them if a hair fell out of place. When I got back to my regular stylist she was like that lady in Texas did you duurrttyy, the placement was soooo bad. She couldn't stop laughing. I had paid $200 and had them removed 10 days later. PS. One had already fallen out on day 3 when I washed my hair. DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!! Maybe extensions aren't her thing and she only had the in house 1 week training and follow up. I could've placed them just as poorly myself without having to had spent money moving up four sandwiches. It wasn't an intense install. My hair is cut to my shoulders. Just needed to put few pieces in because I don't bleach my hair for highlights. Never again. Drive to the Ulta in Frisco near Stonebriar. Their extension girl there yanks your hair out too, but at least she knows what she's doing. read more

I went in for a brow, lip, & chin wax. Plus a brow tint. I was being helped by Sally. I have NEVER had a problem here & I am not one to leave bad reviews, but do not book with her. My eyebrows are like 3 different shades. Very patchy. I had long chin hairs she didn't get. Still had hair around my mouth. It was awful and I will never go to her again. I will try a different Ulta next time. I was leaving on vacation 3 days later & was extremely disappointed. When I checked out, I let them know and the girl was like awe sorry, as she was charging my card. read more

I decided to treat myself yesterday, 9/20, with hair and makeup for a formal event I was attending. I couldn't decide where to go and landed on Ulta for ease of location and reasonable pricing. I was nervous because I'd never had services at Ulta before and also no trial run through. I went in blind not knowing if I'd love the results or if they were talented. I put my trust in Mrs. Sally J. To start, she was welcoming, kind, and complimentary. She listened to what I was looking for and reviewed the photo inspo I had brought with me. During the process, she was highly communicative, engaging, and just truly made me feel special and beautiful. Several times, coworkers of hers would stop by and compliment her work and also myself. What I loved most or just overall was not once did anyone try to upsell products. I fully expected that this would be a push and was EXTREMELY and pleasantly surprised that this wasn't the case at all. Not one time was I expected to make a purchase outside of my intended purposes which was hair and makeup services. At one point, I asked if I needed the lip color that was used to refresh and she made sure to let me know it would last all evening. Guess what? It did! The fact they didn't try to upsell or push products and just let their products speak for themselves is wow, job well done! Rude staff and slow service. Manager said she wouldn't help on a promotion issue when they clearly tagged the wrong product. Online offer was better ended placing order there but why was she arguing with me for 10 minutes. Okay I won't return and now Ulta has lost me as a customer. I ordered with Sephora instead. Came here for a haircut and this was a fantastic experience! Pros: + Not super crowded on a weekend + Staff was very knowledgable + I asked for a couple of different elements to my hair cut. I really appreciate that my hairdresser asked me for pictures of what I actually liked. I had no business ordering makeup because I have enough. However Ulta sucks me in with their weekly ads. I placed my order online and went to pick up the order on lunch. I was greeted immediately upon entering the store. I'm not familiar with this locations pick up area so I walked in and asked where the pick up area is and the manager Terrell stopped stocking items to assist me, located my items, and checked me out. He was so professional and kind. I've been to this store one other time and received the same exemplary customer service from him and the staff. I think this is my new favorite location. read more

It's a good ulta to go to but when I was having problems with my date of birth because it was my birthday Sulvena and the other lady wouldn't help me and they said that I would have to call guest services, and when I did, no one answered, and I tried texting them so I went to the other Ulta off of North Central and the lady was able to help me, even though my date of birth wasn't changed, and I also had a proof on my license that it was my birthday so go to North Central in McKinney instead because the ladies don't want to help you there at the one in Allen. And they seem to run out of birthday gifts all the time and they didn't want to help give me a replacement birthday gift instead. read more

Went for a color match for a foundation & concealer. Nicole was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful & patient explaining what would work for my skin tone. Especially for my dry skin. Highly recommended Ulta at Stacy Road in Allen. After having a disappointing experience at Macys at Stonebriar mall. They literally just gave me two sponges to match it myself. Just wanted me to buy Mac products. Which I didn't want. Ulta will be my go to for all my make up needs as always. read more

Ever since my stylist left, it's gone downhill. They will cancel your appt without notifying you, they seem to be short staffed most weekends. Just not a pleasant experience. I would not recommend this Ulta to anyone. I'm pretty sure my old stylist left because of these issues. They probably worked her to death. read more

The team at this location is the most helpful I have ever seen! I've been in on multiple occasions and they've all been great. Tonight, I went in to restock on my usual brow products & almost immediately after entering the store one of the managers greeted me and asked what I was looking for. He asked what it was I liked about my previous go to product & was able to suggest something I might like even better. Another associate came over & shared her experience with the product & all of the ways this one was a major upgrade from the one I had previously been using. After years of not being spoken to in Ulta's I am beyond impressed with my experience at this location and will absolutely be back! read more

Left without my item and went across Stacy to buy it at Dillards or Macy's where they don't need to digitally "fingerprint" me. What an intrusion! I had the worst experience today. This beauty advisor is probably new since staff there seems to be always turning. I was in there with my daughter and we were at the cash register paying for our products when the most unfriendly and rude cashier assisted us. I was trying retrieve my coupon on my Ulta app when she gave me the eye roll and impatient look. The whole transaction felt like I couldn't even bother to stall her time for a min. At the end of the transaction she didn't event close with a "thank you" or a smile, she just rushed me away. This is why I'd rather shop online. read more

Sad to say that it's my birthday month and no more birthday gifts. I gave a one star because she was bluntly rude and said well being so late in the month we will not be getting anymore gifts in. She said you could check with another store or call customer service. I then asked her if she had any samples instead. She told me that whatever is included with your purchase (Chanel) that's what I can give you. thank you for nothing! Chanel never has samples or gifts with purchase. I'm sure you're not the one that purchased the samples!!!!!!!! Wouldn't you want to make someone happy and accommodate for not having a birthday gift! Ulta never has employees available to help you with questions or to open up the locked up goods so we commoners don't steal from them. They recently had a "promotion" (THIS IS CORPORATE'S FAULT!!!) and we were to receive an item free with $x of purchase. I was told by two different cashiers that the entire store only received 3, then another employee told me 6....so who knows what to believe!!?? Maybe the employees grabbed them and the customers never had a chance to get them? Regardless, tried to call their "customer unhelpful line" and was just told this has expired and there's nothing they can do about it. Can't substitute another freebie or do anything else? I am now at the point of never shopping at Ulta again and will spend my $ at Sephora or elsewhere. I'm done! I'll never spend another penny with this company. Their prices aren't that great and they don't honor their promotions, so meh. Shop elsewhere. read more
