We had a great experience getting passport photos at this location. Superb service from all employees helping us. I also observed an employee checking out a customer at the checkout line being like over the top friendly and helpful. We came in twice: once to take photos and again to pickup. The pharmacy techs and the pharmacist, Andy are extremely unprofessional and wildly complacent. I came here to get some antibiotics for my 6-month-old and I went through the drive-thru and the pharmacy tech improperly resuspended the med and it left a clump that was not dissolvable. We called and reported it and came back (walked in) to get if fixed. A different pharmacy tech tried to tell me that the suspension was fine and we just had to mix it harder (lady we were violently shaking that dang bottle for ~10 minutes straight to no avail). The bottle was opaque so I brought a flashlight that could reveal the clump, and she looked at me like I was foreign (no lady, I'm not trying to give my 6 month old the improper dosage of meds). The pharmacists proceeds to say, "just give him a new bottle" and she comes and gives it to me and says, "make sure you're satisfied with it". I replied "isn't your job to ensure that EVERY customer gets the proper medicine? It shouldn't be my choice or satisfaction". It was insane that I had to remind them that it was their job to ensure all medicine was properly prepared BEFORE giving it to the customer/patient as they are the trusted professionals with YEARS of experience. The group then proceeded to tell me they are doing their job and making sure the customer happy and it dawned on me that other meds they have prepared could be improperly mixed or similar looking pills could be mixed up with how complacent the attitudes were. Awful attitudes...awful work ethic...the writing on the wall is these disgruntled people will run this location to the ground. The customer service within this pharmacy is terrible. If a person is sick and feeling bad the last thing that the pharmacist should do is have an attitude. He was slamming things around and talking over customers. Although, they are short staffed I do not believe that's cause for being rude to customers. Especially sick customers! The attitude should be checked at the door! The customers should not receive the backlash of your attitude. (Not sure if I can say his name but he should be reported). I went to go pickup my prescription and Andy - the pharmacist who worked there "helped" me and was completely the opposite of helpful in fact he was very rude and disrespectful. I was confused about my insurance and was trying to ask a question and he told me verbatim "look i'm really tired and stressed and it's my lunch hour" when I had been waiting there since 1:15pm however he proceeded to help the customer inside before me in the drive through line even though I had been there way before the customer inside. Love the store as I have previously commented on. The pharmacy was doing better. I switched my RX's back to this location. I have had two recent phone encounters with two different females. The most recent one was very rude. However, both women lack tact and customer service skills. I am switching back to my prior location that is a bit out of the way. If I could give this pharmacist zero stars I would. I have never been treated so poorly by any individual in my life. Phaedra M. Jordan, pharmacist, at this local Walgreens, has no business being a pharmacist due to her negligence of the profession and lack of customer service skills. This careless individual refused to transfer a prescription to another pharmacy of my choice. They did not have the medication in stock at this Walgreen's and I needed this RX the next day for a doctors appointment (I get injections and must take the medicine into the office for the shot). I told Phaedra M. Jordan, I contacted the other pharmacy I wanted to transfer it to and they had tried to call her multiple times to get the transfer to go through. I tried to call this location too (was on hold for 48 minutes with no answer). The other pharmacy finally suggested I go into this Walgreen's to request to have it transferred in person as I might have better luck then trying to call. While in the store, Phaedra Jordan, who was loudly huffing and puffing over something else (so professional) proceeded to lie and said she never got a call, when in reality she and her staff just refuse to answer their phone. I found this out after talking to this Walgreens store manager. He told me that they only answer about 1 in 30 phone calls. Phaedra M. Jordan then refused to transfer the prescription and said there was nothing she could do. Due to her not doing her job, I had to change my appointment and have my doctor call in a new prescription to a new pharmacy. I will never step back in to the Walgreens as long as she is the pharmacist. I will never have anything good to say about this individual. Had this been a life treating medication someone could have DIED due to her negligence and lazieness. She needs to be reprimanded for this and placed in a class on how to be a pharmacist and how to treat her paying customers or else she needs to be placed in a back room where she never sees the light of day or a human being again, as she lacks all basic human interaction skills and care for their health. read more

Only used this location because changing the pharmacy on a video visit to the doctor would waste the doctors time, but will call back tomorrow and get that changed. Do not use this store. This Walgreens first opened in the late 90s. It's a great catch all store for those elusive odd items. They consistently carry random TV items that no longer are for sell. I don't smoke, but they sell cigarettes and nicotine gum. They have a great selection of make-up and accept refunds if you get something you just don't like. I would have never used this service before until make-up got so expensive! If you have a Walgreens card you receive points for your purchases. If you buy the bonus items, you get additional points that will add up to money off on the next visit. They have a knowledgeable pharmacy department. The techs are willing to help as are the pharmacists lending a hand in locating that perfect cold medicine. I know I can count on Walgreens for seasonal items from Easter to Christmas. This Walgreens is always very clean, very well stocked and, in general, one of the most well kept stores that I've seen. The pharmacy staff is friendly and efficient, despite being pretty busy most of the time. If there's a knock at all, it's not a 24 hour store, and the above-mentioned busy-ness make it tough to get scripts filled quickly sometimes. Still, it's a great location overall. We scheduled appointments, showed up on time, listened to her instructions, and the courtesy was not reciprocated. We have been customers of this location for over 20 years, and due to multiple problems with the pharmacy, we have transferred most of our prescriptions to CVS and Walmart. We have used this pharmacy for about 6 years and NO MORE! For at least the last 2 years they have been slow, understaffed, and not helpful. I have waited in the drive thru lane for up to 45 minutes trying to pick up prescriptions. The straw that finally broke the camel's back was the visit 2 weeks ago. Having been out of pocket for several days, we received a call from the pharmacy telling us that there were 4 prescriptions ready and if not picked up by the next day they would be put back. I went to the pharmacy the next day around 1 PM. At first the person at the drive thru told me that 2 were ready...should have been 4. After about 15 minutes, he said that they couldn't find the other 2 and told me to come back after their lunch break. Since they called to pick up today, I told him that I wasn't moving until I had all 4. After about 10 more minutes, he miraculously found the missing prescriptions. It is just a mile from where I live and had switched this pharmacy three times, but now is the final shift to one of the best Walgreens on Main and Greenville ave, Allen, which is 4 times more commute but wroth take the pain to avoid this McDermott location. Every time my doctor calls a prescription they lie and delay the process by falsely stating it was not received. The wait time to speak to pharmacy often exceeds 20 minutes and then you end up with one of the rudest customer service. I call my doctor today just to confirm and he verified that the prescription was sent 25 minutes ago yet the pharmacy staff lied. At the end my doctor called in Walgreens at Main and Greenville. I straightaway drove there and they filled my prescription in 10 minutes though they initially told me 15 minutes. I used to live that side of town and always found this location the best. I tried them again today after a few years of avoiding this pharmacy, and learned my lesson. Prescription was ready at 4:42, I was in drive thru line at 4:48 and at the drive up window at 4:58 after waiting behind other cars. They close at 5:00pm and so they wouldn't serve me. Worst pharmacy customer service. I had a 4:45 appointment for Covid test. Arrived in line at 4:15. Most vehicles were averaging 7 mins at the window. Yes we timed it. The last vehicle they serviced arrived at the window at 4:53 and pulled out at 5:08 (15 mins). They proceeded to put a large CLOSED sign in the window right in the face of the customer ahead of me, which I would assume was the 4:30 appointment. There is no way they were not aware they had at least 1-2 more tests to administer since it takes nearly TWO days to get an appointment. I love Walgreens but this location has got to be the worst I have ever been to. I had perscriptions sent over after visiting an urgent care next door and figured it would be a little wait so I did some shopping first. I got to the pharmacy counter 30 minutes later only to be told it would be another 90 minutes before my prescriptions would be ready. It was late so I said I'd come back the next day. It's now noon the next day and my prescriptions are still not ready. When I called for an update it took took calls to get someone on the phone and they told me it would be after 2pm before my meds would be ready. Pharmacy didn't have my inhaler prescription and said they could get it more than 24 hours later. Since that wouldn't work, I asked what else could be done. They said I needed to call around local Walgreens to see if any of those have it in stock. I asked could she check. No. Do you have the name brand version in stock? Well... let me check if you're insurance covers it. It didn't but she needed to be problem solving and have thought to check that instead of me having to come up with solutions. So I asked for the name in order to call around. She said the Walgreens could just pull it up with my DOB. I called another Walgreens who thought it was weird she didn't just give me the name but they confirmed they don't have it in stock either. So I got the name from them and started to call Kroger when the original lady told me to get out of the drive through. I said no one is here, I'm calling one more place if they don't have it, I'll just fill it here because I have no other option and I'll move as soon as a car comes up. She told me I had to go. I said fine, I'd fill my prescription at Kroger. All of this after I waited behind another car for 10 minutes and another 5 for someone to come up to the drive through window to begin with. Had to stop in here to grab some last minute items with my toddler and the second I sat her down to look at some things she took off and I ended up having to chase her, which led to a melt down. Instead of the normal eye-rolls from staff, the two sweet ladies working talked to me about their own kids and even opened another register when I was ready to leave so I could "get on my way" with her. That kind of service, and sincere interest in a random customer caught me by a very pleasant surprise and I know next time I'm headed that way on McDermott this is a place that will get my business whenever I need something! read more
