The staff here blew my mind. Being natural sometimes, it is hard to find products however, this time in particular I was looking for a certain ORS product that I knew Sally's use to carry. After pulling up a picture and showing the young woman what I needed they did a little search and one of the girls said I think we have some let me go look. After a little searching she had found the one solo product she had that I could not seem to find anywhere in the area. This particular day she made my day, even discussed with me other options should I not be able to find it again, and even recommended products that I should stay away from. This location isn't as large as some, but it's packed with the goods. I was in today to buy a pair of shampoo combs, and while I was a little disappointed that they only had one style of them, they seemed to be good quality and the price was definitely right. Women's hair coloring products seemed to dominate the landscape, with a good supply of higher end products to go along with the upscale neighborhood that this store is located in. Do note that it's in a large shopping complex (Village at Allen) next to Toys R Us, and can be a bit tricky to get in and out of, especially during peak times. While I'll admit that I'm far from their target demographic, on the occasion that I need a product like this, Sally is the go-to place, for sure. read more

I like this store and the products I find here. I have been coloring my own hair for many years. Boxed color does not correct my red/golds. I buy everything I need here. Staff is always helpful. I had terrible experience today . Terrible horrible . Nightmare . DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. I used be use alot sally but not this location . I need new clipper so i go to sally cus cloes to my new house(i used deference location) i bought trimmer(oster t finisher) i should buy clipper .so just pass hours later i go back but store was close . I knock the door (cus i need to wait next my dayoff) i hear the voice "we close" I didn't know they close 3hours early. And i said "i buy wrong one so i need to return" they said "that is final sale you can't not reture. " no one said this is final sale when i buy it . They said " there is final sale on the slaves " There is no fanal sale letter either. Who black lady just said inside store. She said "call the customer service .i am really upset she just telling me like "that 's not my business OMG i never ever seen like that customer service . I said "you guys so bad customer service" when i return i could hear they laughed me . THEY LAUGHED AT ME SO LOUDLY . They ware inside store i could hear that . The people who work here are so rude. I arrived twenty minutes before closing and the lady in the front kept coming around letting me know that they were closing and when there was about 10 minutes left she said you need to bring your items to the front now mam. First of all there was nobody else in the store and they had already locked the front door so she shouldn't have been in such a rush to have me out so early. I had questions about products and she had no knowledge about them. This location has always been a least favorite but for now I will drive the couple extra miles to another one. read more

I came in to buy some hair dye and the woman working there was very helpful. She told me that I could do a test strand and if it didn't come out the way I wanted, she would let me return the dye. I ended up returning the dye and ordering a different color online. I wish I knew her name, she was just lovely! read more

Poor customer service at this location. I have shopped at Sally's once a month for 7 years , but I received horrid customer service today from manager on duty Shamika. The experience with her was so bad that I may not shop at the whole Sally chain any longer. I came in for a price adjustment on a sale item, and was told that I had to go to the store that I bought it from to get the adjustment. I then said that I would just return the whole ticket of items then, and get a store credit, and re -purchase the items at the correct price. Shamika insisted that I could only make the return at the store I originally bought the items from and not the Allen store, I told her that this is not what the published policy of Sally says. In that case I told her that I would just repurchase all the items a second time, at the correct price, on a new ticket, and then return the other items, at the other store, another day. I set about filling my cart with the duplicate items and carried them to the cash register without saying a word. When I got to the register, Shamika states, "ou can only use one coupon." I responded. "I only have one coupon." Shamika then said I am not selling you anything. You need to leave the store because you are rude." And then she proceeded to call the mall security to have them kick me out of the store. This is how manager on duty, Shamika, treated a long term Sally Card member over my desire to pay the advertised price for my purchases. I work hard for my money, and should not be shamed for wanting to save the $18.00 on a $106.00 purchase that I was entitled to save. This manager needs a new job as customer service is not for her. read more

Worst customer service. They forgot to give me a receipt, when i came to return item I pulled up my transaction on my phone and she still refused. She said i need to call customer service. When you call customer service it tells you to log on to the website??? Seriously!!! When i asked for her store number to reference she would not give it to me. I went in to Sally on West Street looking for a wand and noticed I could get the "name brand " wand for $30 less the next day. I went to the register and paid for the items I had. I was at the register and ask the associate what time they opened tomorrow she stated 8:30 am. 9 am the next morning I'm there, the doors are locked, the sign says they open at noon. It makes me wonder if they don't even know what time they open how knowledgeable is this associate. read more

My wife was checking the review s on her phone and she came across the reviews for,Sally s Beauty in Allen,tx. I can only speak for me and my wife, but I have never been treated badly at this store. I have been coming to this store for a long time now I can't believe that people have time to criticize someone.Fact of the matter is me and my wife has spent lots of money here and will continue to just because of Shameka and her staff.They are well train on any other products we need,I have been to other Sally's in the mckinney/ plano area they have little knowledge and no products. So sick of people hired to do customer service, who can't be bother to do their job! Created a Yelp account just to say that I contacted Sally's to see if they had Babyliss hot roller butterfly clips. I had the misfortune of speaking with Shameeka(?) who quickly told me she didn't know...followed by, "Um, well we sell hot rollers." I said, "Well you do sell hot roller clips, right?", she asked me was I coming in to the store so I could see. "No, that's why I'm calling" and again, "Ahh, I don't know." "Well can you check?" ...dead silence, followed by fake static. A simple, let me check is all that is needed or can I put you on hold while I finish with a customer...attempt to be helpful! Called and received EXCELLENT care from Amanda at the location at 121 and Custer Rd. Located the items, gave me a recommendation and had them waiting for my husband to pick-up. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. Went in today and the service was once again abysmal, and that's the most pleasant adjective I can give. The salesperson was sitting on the floor and wouldn't get up to help me. I asked her for red gel polish and she said "no one really wears red polish." Really?? I wasn't taking a poll on the popularity of red polish. I asked her if the brands I saw were the only ones they carried and she said "no... There's one over there but it's more expensive." I said "over where?" She said "over there... ". She was not only too lazy to stand up but she was too lazy to point me in the direction?? She was overweight but clearly not disabled. Really bad customer service! I was seeking help to pick a color for my hair that would best match my natural color. She said any brand would be good. She seemed as though I was bothering her. I was the only person in the store! The store had just opened on August 16th. I left without purchasing color dye. I'll go somewhere else--where I can better customer service.
