Wakefield d Nails. Recent remodel, (12/11) look really nice and clean. Pedicure chair are new and comfy. I visit this location at least once a month for Pedi and wax. Prices are good $25 for a regular Pedicure and wax start at $10. They offer a full menu of Manicure and Pedicure spa, like paraffin and scrubs! The staff is Asian and they are nice! The friendlier is the Wax girl! (Sorry I don't know her name). So far so good! And sometimes in the Valpak mail come offers. read more

I came in with my family 3 pedicures. We waited 20 minutes before the water was started. After getting in the chair we waited an additional 45 minutes before starting on our feet. The water is was cold I requested fresh hot water and was told they were out of hot water 2 out of 3 of us received a pedicure. Do not waste your time coming here. read more

Was in the area, so decided to give them a try for a pedicure and a gel fill & polish. The technician didn't ask what pedicure I wanted and just went with the basic. Not sure if it's because I had on my distressed jeans so perhaps didn't look as if I would want the deluxe spa or because I was of color, and the rest of their clientele was not. In any case, the technician did a good job (didn't ask if I wanted a cut down, but okay) and the foot massage was lovely. When it was time to do my nails, the first technician started and I asked him to cut my nails down, he had to ask another what to do. Then, as he was filing, says you need a fill...um, yeah, that's what I asked for. So then, he hands me off to someone else, who is busy putting color streamers in another customers hair..sigh. When she finishes, she gruffly took my hands and proceeded with the drill. I explained to her that I wanted regular polish, with clear gel on top. Without even touching the builder gel, she put the regular polish on my naked nail and put me under an old school UV light (portable) that had seen it's better days. I told her, I asked for a fill..she says yes, this is it. Then she put builder gel on top of the regular polish and put me back under the light..all the while laughing at my color choice which had heart shaped pieces in a glittery pink polish. "This is Easter, not Valentine's Day" she repeated ad nauseum. Sigh. Now, I get fills every 2-3 weeks for the last 10 years, so I knew that was not right, but I didn't make a fuss because surely she wouldn't charge for a fill when she didn't do one. Wrong.. total $64. I paid without flinching and promptly came to my regular salon in Knightdale to have it corrected and get my toes t9 match. So.. $110 later, I have a fresh look for my hands and feet. Needless to say I won't patronize Wakefield Nails again. read more

Found this amazing place when I needed a nail salon while my son was at a birthday party at Galaxy Funpark. So glad I did. Cleanest, most professional place around. They take their time on you and will not make you feel rushed. Once you walk in, they try to get you to a station within 5 minutes. I have never waited or seen anyone wait longer than that. Pedicures are amazing. Ask for James. I have been coming here about a year now and always leave satisfied. I drive 75 minutes just to get their service. read more

I'm new to the area and just found a perfect new nail salon! This place is under new management- the managers name is Tina and she is very lovely. I've never felt more listened to and not rushed in a nail salon in my life. They are extremely thorough and sanitary here which I love. They offer so many different services and a plethora of pedicures. They are also doing 20% off all services now through March 16th! I'd definitely give this place a try. I'm assuming the other reviews are before the new manager came in and turned this place around. Five stars! read more

New Owner Alert! I got the Deluxe Pedicure which is, by far, the biggest bang for your buck. You get everything that comes with a traditional pedicure but you also get two massages (one with the sea salt and one with the mud mask). You also get the paraffin wax treatment and the hot towels. I was extremely happy with the entire experience. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend you ask for Andy if you want the best massage EVER! With that kind of service, I won't go anywhere else. It was amazing!!!! read more

The customer service is not the best. I spent over an hour in there to get my nails removed. They kept drilling over my skin. All of the equipment used on me was very dirty, and previously used on the lady next to me. read more

They SUCK at gel nails.. Point blank Period. Do not go here for those. I've "learned my lesson" at this place with those so many times and always say I will never go back! But I was desperate this last time & needed my nails done badly. They showed me that I should have just waited it out a bit longer. They are nice but VERY shady. Tricked my boyfriend into paying more for my nails just because he didn't know how much they were..luckily I caught it & spoke up. read more

Used to LOVE this salon. Brought family here from out of town to show them how cute this salon is. I love Bailey. They take their time and it usually takes about 3 hours to get my gel manicure and pedicure done. I'm usually ok with that because the staff is usually sweet especially the manager who was pregnant. I always felt welcome. The last time I came in with a friend for my usual gel mani and pedi, I told them I had to be out in 2 hours because I had somewhere to be, so maybe I shouldn't do a manicure. I was told by the man who did my nails that 2 hours was plenty of time and got my manicure done beautifully in 35 mins. I sat in the pedicure chair and reminded them I needed to be out in 1hr and 25 mins. I was reassured it would be enough time. The man doing my pedicure hadn't even started my polish when I realized I only had 15 mins left before I had to leave. My friend who started her pedicure after me was done and we got the same type. I let them know I'd have to get regular polish because I would t have time for him to do gel. They were upset and said "then I'll need to charge you $5 extra for taking off your original gel polish". Ok that's fine, even though I've never been told that before. Long story short this is the pedicure I walked out with. When I mentioned to the gentleman who checked me out how sloppy the polish was, he said "he didn't have enough time". Even though everyone assured me 1hour and 25 mins was plenty of time for a pedicure. Really annoyed, he ignored me and only cared about getting my money. Thought I found my new favorite spot but I'll have to keep looking. Won't be coming back. read more

Had a friend recommend this place and her nails always looked so good so I decided to try this place. I made an appointment for a pedicure and when I got in the chair my water was cold so I told them that it was and more cold water was put in, so I just decided to deal with it. I came with my mom and she had already had her pedicure started and the girl who was going to do mine just kept wandering around. Asked her to cut my toenails shorter 3 times and she said she couldn't even though there was still white left at the edge of my toenail, but I understand she didn't want to over cut my toenails and leave me bleeding so I can get over that. When she scrubbed my feet to get the dead skin off she over-scrubbed and now my foot is raw on the side. I also asked her to file my little toenail straight which she didn't even cut, and she filed it for all of 1 second and it is still crooked. More thank likely will never ever come back here. :( read more

Went in to the nail salon to get a dip powder color change at 6:30pm because I called ahead to see when they close they told me 7:30pm I walk in & they were cleaning up chairs were up I asked one of the staff if they were closed she replied yes at 6:30! I drove all that way for no reason, when they could have stated on the phone they were closing early that day read more

Good service. Had a deluxe pedicure. Lynn does a great job making sure the shop is nice and clean. Enjoyed having my feet scrubbed. They have spa packages you can choose from which are much more affordable than the salon. Good customer service and I really enjoyed stopping by. Great location by email he movies and restaurants. read more

Had mani/pedi and eye brow was today - it was awesome! The place is clean, upbeat, and professional. The service was outstanding - extra long foot/hand rub!!! There was a lady who had an issue with the time it took to remove her gel but that takes time! Let them know if your in a hurry, every accommodating staff! All I can say is 'Merry Christmas' and I will be back! read more

It was the most terrible nail place I had been so far. My nails had been done very bad and bumpy. I hate it but I can't do anything now! They're just in rush for more customers not the quality. Just needs to be done in 45 minutes. Awful, awful, awful read more

Horrible!!!!! I did dip which I have done for 4 years. Their sample color was WAY off from how my nails turned out - I wanted a blush peach color for a wedding I was attending and my nails turned out pumpkin!! Did not have time to go try a whole new dip appt so they thought it would be smart to paint gel over dip - half of my gels color that calmed down the pumpkin peeled off the night I got them fixed. Did I mention that when my nails were originally being done I asked why it was so bright as the sample didn't look light what my nails did and she said the color would calm down - I am IRATE!! Worst nail place in NC!!!!!!!! read more

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a good place to get a pedicure. My friend and I came across Wakefield Nails on yelp and decided to give it a try. This is hands down the best place I've ever gone for a pedicure. Everyone is super friendly, and they really take their time with the massage (so don't come if you're in a hurry). The pedicures are reasonably priced considering everything that is included. I've now been to Wakefield Nails 3 times and have had a great experience each time. They also provide a glass of complimentary wine. This place is my new go to! read more

I have been coming to Wakefield Nails for years. Lynn has done my gel nails for years and she I quick and precise. The Salon is clean and the staff is well trained and polite. I am a busy professional and usually never slow down enough to write reviews, but when I say the bad review posted here I was surprised (and surprised with the language). I would recommend Lynn and her Salon. read more

Great nail place! Candy is the best! They get you in and out in a decent amount of time and the polish from my gel manicure typically lasts 3 to 4 weeks. I have seen some of the previous negative reviews and I am not sure if their experience was a one time thing. I have been going for almost a year and have had nothing but good experiences with them. read more

I recently moved to the area and went to Wakefield to get a fill...never again. First off, I have acrylic nails so you would think they would use acrylic to do my fill right? Wrong. They used liquid gel which came out lumpy and way too thin. The nail tech didn't say a word the whole time and when it came time to polish my nails, I was charged an extra $5 to use three colors. I had 3 nails one color, and the other two different colors. No design, nothing fancy. What a rip off. The kicker for me was when the nail tech stared me for a few seconds and then proceeded to ask me if I was getting an eyebrow wax as well. She might as well have told me I looked like crap and gotten it over with. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

My daughter came in for a manicure and 3 days later the polish was off 3 nails. I had a gel wrap done. He filed off with the electric file the old color and made my nails very thin. He then took out of his drawer scissors to trim the cuticles and started to pick off the old skin of someone. I asked for an autoclave clean scissors and he came back with a pair that wasn't in a bag. Did I get another dirty scissor? My color didn't even cover my nails. I am sure this won't last long. Very disappointed. I paid $27 for the gel, see earlier someone paid $25. Shame on you. Guess that is why you ask if I was local. To find out if I would be coming back. read more

Horrible experience ~ Charged me $25 for a basic manicure. The young girl used an electric buffer to remove my old ( shellac) polish and knocked my finger which really hurt ~ careless! The proper protocol is to soak cotton balls in polish remover then put aluminum foil on each finger nail to get the old shellac off. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Also very few polish choices for regular manicure as they really push the Gel mani. Unbelievable that they charged me $25 for a basic manicure. Worst experience EVER~ AVOID THIS SALIN AT ALL COSTS. read more

Just moved into the area and gave them a go. The place was nice and clean, which I did like. I wanted a fill in and was not asked what kind I wanted, so I guess they assumed gel ( which is what I get, just observed that they don't care to ask). After receiving my fill in everything looked good at 1st glance so I paid (and tipped), only to notice my two thumb nails were shaped differently on the way home. I charged that to the game, however, the next day I started to notice dirt in between my real nails and the gel ( I had clear polish with specs). I had to have some of my nails replaced with new fake nails and basically a fresh start, well the young man did not do what ever it was to have my nails secured properly. I would not be returning and I would not recommend them, go else where and save your money because you will waste it and time doing business at Wakefield Nails. read more

Wakefield Nails is the absolute WORST nail salon I've ever been to! I've been getting my nails done consistently for the past 2 years and never in my life have I been treated with such disrespect. I sat down to have my gel nails filled and my mother sat down 10 minutes later. The nail tech started taking my polish off and when he was finished with one hand another girl came in and he just got up said nothing and left me sitting there for over an hour to do her nails!!! When I finally had enough I got up and told them I would be taking my business else where and they started yelling at me and still tried to charge me for a fill when I had one hand of polish taken off! The woman working on my mom's nails started slamming the equipment down and continued to yell at me! To put in perspective how long I was actually waiting my mom had an ENTIRE FILL IN done and I was still waiting to have my polish taken off! It was the WORST EXPERIENCE I've ever had at a nail salon actually the worst customer service I've had period!!!! I NEVER write reviews, but after the way I was treated today I just feel like it is necessary! I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone because of how poorly I was treated.. I am completely DISGUSTED!!!!! They even REFUSED to even apologize to me and started telling me I was the one who was wrong!!! Shame on you Wakefield Nails for treating your customers with such disrespect - VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! read more
