I picked out my colors and the nail tech who worked with me was so thorough. She took her time and didn't move on to the next step until everything was absolutely perfect. At one point, I didn't love the color we had picked for my toes, and when I asked to change it, she removed it without any hesitation or frustration. She was kind, patient, and truly cared about doing a great job. The prices were very reasonable--especially for the Raleigh area--and the service was top-notch. Paid $63 for a fill in with gel polish and one nail repair Short story: Got a fill in on May 11. 1st Nail polish peeled off on May 12. 2nd nail polish started coming off on May 13. May 14 I started getting hang nails. I was out of town for Mother's Day so I couldn't come back until May 18 but told her what happened and could prove that it happened on day 2 with metadata from my phone that shows you the time and date a picture was taken on the phone. Nail tech fixes nail and repaints them and charged me $15 for their slackness. Imagine paying someone $60, 60 WHOLE dollars per hour for them to produce inferior work that starts breaking down after day 1 when you normally can go one month between fill ins. First red flag was the first person who worked on my nails said she couldn't do my nail shape so they moved me to another person. Second red flag was when the Second Lady (Bre) had to keep using a paint brush with acetone to clean the edges of my nails because she kept going over the lines (most real professionals don't go outside the line so much that they wiping away 3mm long mistakes with a paint brush). I also noticed bubbles in the paint. You may also notice in the picture that the shape of the nails are not smooth, and there are dents in the nails due to the acrylic being applied and molded to my nail bed with poor technique. When I ask why was the polish bubbling up and peeling large chunks, The nail tech named Bre says "oh well the color you had was low and about to run out, that's why it's like that. Choose a different color." So if you knew that I shouldn't use that original color, then why not tell me to choose another color from the start? She also said that my nail was thin and that's why my nail chipped off. I asked her what can be done about it. She said to get a new full set. But like why didn't you recommend that during the original visit??? I could've saved money, but more importantly, TIME if you would've recommended a new full set the first time. But that would be too much like right. And don't get me started on the shape. Chile. I didn't know the shape of almonds varied so much. Some of my nails looks like bullets lmaoooo. POW pow pow is how I felt after leaving this shop. *Elizabeth, I'm coming to join ya (Fred Sanford Voice). It's not even worth going back in there to get them to do it over cause no one in the shop is competent enough to do my "complex" nails. They need to stick to doing the little manicures with the OPI nail lacquer that the little aunties and grannies love. And to some of y'all it's just nails. But it's a little more to my vain ass, which is why I'm willing to pay $60/hr to get my nails done. But at $60/hr, you shouldn't be producing amateur work. Like babes, STEP IT UP. Have a little pride in your work. $78 for some half ass nails. This is my karma for cheating on my nail guy smh. read more

My husband and I went to get a pedicure and I also got a manicure. We went on a Sunday at 5pm, they close at 6. I did call ahead to make sure it would be okay since I knew I'd be cutting it close to their closing time and like to be respectful of that. We got there and were greeted so wonderfully. Pedicures were amazing and very thorough! The manicure was great! I requested a specific design and the girl I had came through! I typically don't write negative reviews, but I feel the job on my nails and feet deserves some feedback. I went to New Vision on a Thursday afternoon/evening for a gel pedicure and gel overlay on my nails. I should have stopped at the pedicure. The tech didn't use a plastic bag in the foot bowl, which is typically standard for all nail salons now. She brought over tools that looked used/ not from a fresh pack. The pedicure job was okay. The polish needed at least one more coat in my opinion. The nail tech I had was Bree. She stated she had been doing nails for over 8 years. I wanted a gel overlay but we agreed that I should get tips due to the lack of length on my natural nails. Here are places she failed: No buffing or drilling was done to my cuticles No primer or base coat was placed on my nails before the liquid gel The shaping on my nails was poor both around the tips and apex. Please see photos Not enough gel was applied to the side walls of my nails, and I'm pretty sure lifting will occur. The nails is really where the service was poor. I'm only giving two stars bc the customer service was nice and the nail techs were engaging. I didn't call or ask for them to fix bc I just feel like first impressions are everything and I didn't want to offer an opportunity to mess up again. read more

I've been here a few times with my daughter and wanted this place to become part of my routine but I had a terrible experience today. Although I made an appointment for a pedicure, I was left soaking for 30 mins while they tended to a super high maintenance customer. They also took a customer who had come in after me. Worst pedicure ever. I decided to try NV Nails since they are close to my house so I made an appointment. My nail tech made me wait 20 minutes past my appointment time while she prepped other stations for co-workers and wondered around the room. That was a bad start, by the pedicure itself was not worth the $. Minimal effort and my toes looked like crap. The nail polish was clumpy so she put remover in to help, but shaking the bottle was too much effort so she just rolled it around for a second. The end result was not professional. read more

Came here bc I was in need of my brows being waxed due to two months with covid my brows were hideous lol. I live near here so I yelped it and saw great reviews for staff. Decided to make a phone call and set up an appointment. I was able to get one in for the very next day. Upon arrival everyone was wearing masks and they had glass protector in front of you're getting your nails done which I found very sanitary. I had to wait for about five minutes which was completely fine. The lady ding my brows was super friendly and did an amazing job! I will definitely return back here. Prices are very reasonable as well. Just a small disclaimer. I noticed here on yelp on her about me page says they offer 20 percent off for new clients, which isn't accurate. I did ask about this during checkout and she said no. I didn't force it or debate it considering I was happy with my brows lol but just for others it's a warning so you don't be surprised when you go to checkout and don't receive the discount for first time clients. They asked questions throughout and made sure I was happy with how they fixed them. I had asked how much it might costs for the fix, and they said they would figure it out after they saw the damage--only $10 to fix my cuticles, buff out dents, and reshape my nails the way I had asked the previous place. I have gone to this nail spa for a few years now and I love it! I mean I drive about 15 minutes to get there. I have always received superior services at this nail spa. Everyone there is always nice and friendly and so helpful. It's amazing to me how Elaine greets everyone by their first name and sincerely wants to know how you're doing. While I was pregnant Tammy took very good care of me, making sure that I got what I needed as far as assistance standing up, giving me breaks, etc. Also I've received services from other technicians like Jimmy for example and all are fantastic! My best friend raved about this nail salon after having come for a pedicure during her pregnancy. I had been looking for a nail salon since moving here on February. This place is now my one and only and completely worth the drive from Knightdale Elaine, the owner, and Tammy are my favorite people to sit with but all the staff are friendly and they try hard to get to know you by name as well as learn your preferences. The environment is relaxing with soft music playing in the background that I could fall asleep to. I first started coming to get my acrylic nails filled in but once I thought my nail biting habit was over I had them removed and they added gel polish to keep my frail nails from breaking. And I do not really know where to start, I have been getting a manicure pedicure for over 40 years and this was the quickest one I ever had. The manicure pedicure was good, the technique was good, but when you pay $30 for a pedicure it should not take 18 minutes and most of that time was removing the old polish and putting the new one on there was absolutely no attention given to the heels of the feet and the cream and massage of the feet was less than a minute when I asked about why the pedicure was so quick she told me I got the basic pedicure and that it's a 30 minute pedicure which I would've been fine with but this was not what I received . I asked to speak to the manager/owner and was told she was not around. I called later that day gave my name and number but nobody ever called me back I called the next day nobody called me back so I went in the owner came out in front and kept defending her employee was not very nice to me and told me she had to go back and look at the cameras and I said OK I understand please go back and look at the cameras she went into the back room and never came out. I do not believe this is in anyway shape or form good customer service. In the times of the virus and with customer service so important this was lacking in every aspect I cannot in good conscience go back to this place, What if something really happened where I needed customer service this is not the place to get any of that so thanks but no thanksI I would like to update my review.... I went back to give it another try I only had a manicure which was an excellent job I stepped outside to speak with the owner who was kind enough to refer to my review and to my discussion with her inside the store, she says she reviewed the cameras and that they were a full 30 minutes, I appreciate her taking the time to have the discussion with me, she was very kind, but I still have my reservations about the greatness of a pedicure, I would say that they do a fine job they're very nice people very involved with the community, I just like a really thorough pedicure when I take the time to go to a nail salon so I'm gonna have to call this an equal draw read more
