Great beach with lots of clean sand and coral. The water is shallow but few people swimming and no lifeguards.

This is a great beachfront park, behind the Maui Sunset, with well tended lawns, some shady areas, tennis courts & public restrooms. There's a small parking lot with room for about 20 cars. There are excellent views for watching the sunset, but you want to get there early because the lot fills up quickly and the roadside spots get taken up, too. People pour out of the condos just before the sun sets, so you will have company on the shore. Bring your chairs and beverages and maybe you'll get to talk to an interesting new friend. Someone always blows a conch shell when the sun is disappearing, to add to the mood. The park is much quieter during the day. Today, we took our chairs and cooler, set up in a shady spot and watched a half dozen humpbacks playing. They were close enough for us to hear the whomp sounds when they breached! We also brought binoculars to get a closer look. Turtle are plentiful there, too, and you can get a glimpse of them when they surface for air. When the whales calmed down, I enjoyed my latest James Patterson novel during the lull. Life is good. The well manicured lawn is perfect for playing bocce ball. Sometimes, we have friends meet for a few games and pupus before sunset. We only played 1 game today, because the sun was directly overhead and pretty hot. I won the game, so yay for me! The only thing I don't like is the pet leash law that every dog owner ignores, because the police won't enforce it. There is a need for more off-leash dog parks.

This is a nice park behind Maui Sunset. Has a large lawn that is mowed and well taken care of it is perfect for playing bocci ball or doing yoga on. There is a small parking lot-but has an area for street parking if lot is full. Has a bathroom but no shower. There are 4 public tennis courts a few are now pickleball courts. It gets pretty crowded right before sunset.

    Sunset from Waipulani Park!

Beautiful park with an expansive, manicured lawn that goes right up to the beach. Perfect for watching the sun set, enjoying pupus and drinking wine, and watching the sea turtles swim by. Lots of families enjoying picnics on the lawn, lawn bowling, and running their dogs. Peaceful and beautiful, with restrooms nearby. Woo hoo!
