I was trying to exchange an item for the exact same item. The reason for the exchange was that the pants I received as a gift were a much shorter fit than the same model I've bought before. I wasn't asking for a refund -- I simply wanted to exchange them for the same style in a normal fit. Because I didn't have the receipt or tag, I was told I couldn't make the exchange. The customer service was poor, and the manager, Raul, was not helpful. Considering how much they charge for their clothing, a much higher level of customer service is expected. I will no longer be shopping at Lululemon and will be taking my business to Alo instead.

I was a bit hesitant about visiting this place to sell after reading some very negative reviews…read more:-O. However, during both of my visits, I was greeted by very friendly young staff members who were very helpful in guiding me through the selling process and wait times. I was so happy to experience this because it's so awesome for Pacifica to have a Plato's Closet! I had relatively small bags of items to sell, so I did not need to wait very long at all. I browsed around the store and saw lots of cool things. Nice selection and interesting finds that change every day! I saw some times that looked almost new with great prices. Definitely recommend this place! One thing to note is that they close their selling booth one hour before store closing, so make sure to get in earlier if you have stuff to sell!

I was ecstatic that a Plato's was near my stay, but the girl didn't buy anything because Pacifica is already experiencing colder weather, & my clothes consisted of high-end dresses, shorts, & shirts, all unworn or lightly worn. Why I'm leaving this review is that the quality of the stuff here is verrrrrry low. I normally love Plato's because reasonable prices + clothes that don't have stains on them. Oh my goodness, everything I picked up here had such an obvious stain on it, not something I think you could even get out with cleaning product. I suppose the bright side of this review is that if you're selling something in season... you may not have to spend time washing it if it's used. The stuff I found here was ROUGHED up. Shoes had obvious stains. Found an adorable pink Juicy handbag I almost bought, but it was sticky inside (?). Every shirt or pair of shoes I'd notice because it was a pastel colour or a brand I liked (like vans) was sooooo stained :/ In that case, the prices should be heavily reduced. Why am I seeing the same prices ($14 for sweats, $9 for a shirt, $12 for a bag) that I see in LA but this time the item is heavily stained? This store (not the chain overall) is reserved only for the dedicated thrifter, who has hours to kill... Unless you're selling! In which case you may not have to bother washing your garments at all. If in season, they'll take your stained things!

If I have time when I'm running errands, I'll pop in to see the latest inventory and if there's anything I want to buy my daughter. Sometimes I find fancy brand-name stuff for good prices that look practically new (since babies do grow quickly after all!). I was even able to find a few preemie items when my daughter was born 5 weeks early and all the clothes we had prepared for her were too big. There's shoes, books, toys, sleep sacks, carriers, etc. There's even women's clothes although I've only browsed those items a couple of times. You earn store credit for purchases which is also great, and I think on Tuesdays, items are discounted. If you want to consign, you basically have to call the month before to try to get an appointment since they book up pretty quickly. I've been told that I could also try to call on a consignment day (Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday) to see if there are any last-minute appt cancellations. You bring in your bag of items and they'll go through it and select what they think will sell. If it sells within a month, you can either get a percentage of the sale as cash or you can get a larger percentage as store credit. I opt for the store credit since I need to keep buying clothes for this growing child who is somehow above average height considering she has two exactly average height parents haha.

At first, the male employee who greeted us, was friendly and helpful......he answered some of my questions without issue. However as the store started to get busy, things quickly changed. While Gabriela was helping me calculate my total....not for checkout, next minute Chris steps in, takes over and begins rushing through the process and scanning items....sending her away to assist others with shoe sizes. I don't appreciate being rushed when shopping. If I tell you I'm not ready, continuing to scan items anyway shows poor customer service. If you can't stay calm under pressure or multitask effectively, then this may not be the job for you. I spent over an hour in this store picking out items and every time my hands were full; the items were taken to be held at the counter. I wasn't the one who asked to go over my purchases at the register; that's where they had left all my selections even as they were ringing up other customers. His attitude irritated me to the point where I had to step away and collect myself before checking out. All he had to do was stop and place all my choices to on the unused counter space behind him. Smh Unfortunately, we ended up finalizing our purchase with Chris and now I regret it. After spending $500+, I realized once I got home that we didn't even get the damn shoes we originally came for. I am so irritated now. Not only am I disappointed, but now I have a 10-year-old who is upset that he doesn't have the new shoes I promised him for the first day of school tomorrow. This entire experience has left me frustrated and unhappy. I'll be returning everything tomorrow and taking my business elsewhere. Lesson learned: never let employees rush you just because they can't handle the pressure of back-to-school shopping. We, the consumers, decide where the dollar's power goes.
