    Fried rice, almond chicken 6/24

S.O. raved about this place. He started going here many years ago and liked their food. From the outside, it looks unassuming and your typical mom-and-pop place. We were seated right away. It wasn't very busy but it was rather late in the day. We ordered BBQ pork, almond chicken, pork fried rice. The food came out timely and the portions were okay. BF liked their chow mein underneath but there wasn't enough noodles. The owners were nice and made sure our waters were filled. It was a nice meal but BF did say that it wasn't the same but decent. It's good if you have a hankering for some quick Chinese American food from a local joint.

Wah Kue is the best Chinese food restaurant in Burien. The food was good and portions were ample also. Typical ambience and the service was great too. Well priced in this crazy expensive time's we are in right now.

It's your average Chinese food! The bad reviews on here seem really dramatic- its a Chinese dive bar that smells like smoke and has the decor and ambiance to match it. While nothing I had was outstanding, everything I had was as expected given the ambiance, shortness of staff, and time of day (late evening on a holiday). I kept it simple with General Tso's, Orange Chicken, hot and sour soup (was really good), veggie chow mein, crab rangoon, and green tea. I will say that the veggie chow mein had a LOT of vegetables in it and minimal noodle so if that ratio could be bumped a little I would like it :) Not bad but not horrible and yes I would go here again.

I had a real craving for Chinese food today, I'm really glad I didn't go the generic Panda Express…read moreroute! I was pleasantly surprised by the service and attentiveness of their host. I ordered the the egg drop soup for my appetizer and the chef's special egg fu yong for my entree with a to-go order for beef n broccoli. I'm pleased with the egg drop soup because it came hot and fairly bland so I could add salt to my satisfaction. The egg foo yong...next time I'll pick a protein instead of all three (beef, chicken, pork.) The texture was great, it was hot and definitely presentable. I just couldn't nail down a specific palette that it hit...even with salt it wasn't enough to capture an exact flavor, it was ok, like I said, next time I'll pick a protein, lol! Beef n broccoli was, hands down the best dish!! No disappointment, no off taste, no need for salt at all!! I'll must definitely be back!!

I ordered 2, the bbq pork fried rice and sweet and sour chicken, since I couldn't decide and with tax both were under $25. The portions are large and come with a soup or soda to go. My food was hot and fresh and was ready immediately once I arrived. Lunch special pricing is M-F until 3 pm I believe. I will definitely be back! I appreciate this small business and the friendliness of the man working. I will be recommending to my friends who live closer to Burien too!

Whenever we go for dim sum, the goal is always to get there early and beat the crowd…read more Unfortunately, what usually happens is that when we order, nothing is ready yet and we keep getting told "later." Service is chaotic -- you literally have to flag servers down for anything and just hope they remember. The bathroom situation was also disappointing. Only 1 out of the 3 stalls was available, the lock didn't work properly, and the "hand soap" turned out to be shower gel. Definitely not the experience we were hoping for. I'm starting to realize maybe the old school Dim sum cart isn't the way for us anymore.

I pre-ordered a Poon Choi from this restaurant several days in advance for Chinese New Year…read more Traditionally, Poon Choi has a very clear structure: Bottom layer (the "sponge"): Ingredients that soak up sauce and flavor, such as Chinese white radish (daikon), Chinese cabbage, taro, yam, bean curd skin, and fried pigskin. Middle layer (the savory core): Braised, well-seasoned items like marinated pork belly, fish balls, mushrooms, and dried squid. Top layer (the "crown"): Higher-end ingredients placed on top to prevent overcooking, such as abalone, sea cucumber, prawns, roasted duck, and scallops. Unfortunately, the Poon Choi I received was disappointing. The shrimp on the top layer were undercooked and not properly cleaned. The middle layer consisted mainly of fried tofu, fish balls, roasted pork, and steamed chicken, but there was little to no sauce, so the overall flavor was lacking. The vegetables at the bottom were very bland and did not absorb any seasoning as expected.

This location is a bit smaller, but the food was a lot faster. There is no sushi bar at this location. I ordered the beef pho and spring rolls. The bartender was friendly and even made me an unsweetened iced tea, by brewing a cup of hot tea for me, then icing it. The location is quite convenient for the area, the inside was a bit crowded and noisy, but it was a Saturday night. The bar area was tidy and there were a good number of seats open. The food took under 20 minutes to come out and was above average in taste and quality. We just went for food, I would recommend this place for their pho and spring rolls.

While searching for places to eat, we found Fortune Casino and loved the menu we saw (especially since so many places were closed by the point of midnight). There's an abundant array of tables inside and the ambience is definitely more on the divey side. Service was solid - the workers really took care of us - and the food was amazing. We ordered the following: - Pork Belly: DELICIOUS. An absolute heavy hitter after traveling. - Wings with garlic butter: Immaculate and so so tasty. We didn't know what to expect from this one but it changed our lives, haha. This place is 24 hours, so I highly highly recommend dropping by if you're in the area. The quality of the different Asian dishes here is amazing and it's definitely legit (this place puts all the Vegas casinos with "Asian" restaurants to shame!). Can't wait to return here!
