Kept passing by this in the tustin plaza over the past year and have been wanting to try it, finally got the chance to and redeemed my birthday meal from chubby plus membership :) Was originally going to try the lake forest location but please do note that this tustin location is hot pot while the other wagyu factory locations in brea and lake forest are bbq. At $49.99 for the standard price, you get a good variety of different food items. It's a self serve buffet unless you order the premium option which is around $15(?) more for unlimited a5. The standard option already includes unlimited salmon and unagi sushi, dimsum, curry rice, fried snacks, burger, lobster roll, cakes, lychee/passionfruit slush, oolong milk tea, soda machine, sauce bar similar to haidilao, meat station and veggie stations. Compared to mikiya, this place has a lot more options. My faves were the udon, wagyu chuck tender, quail egg, japanese tonkotsu broth, oolong milk tea. our server britney was very friendly and she said it was her first day serving which didnt seem like it at all to me. she was super nice and helped us out a lot but it was pretty random because a different girl had taken our soup orders first and then she disappeared lol. We were confused but britney ended up being able to help us out so it was fine. There was an offputting burnt smell around certain areas prob bc other guests forgot to turn off their pots and no one checked it. it smelled really bad. some of the walkways for thr food in the back area where the sodas are were also tight to walk through but other than that it was a nice ambience. read more

Really solid hot pot with a TON of sides, drinks, and dessert. $44 for chubby club members for dinner, and it seemed to be a good value. The quality of the meat is good enough, as well! I didn't see king crab this time, but that's okay because it wasn't that good anyway when we tried it last visit (it was covered in some kind of chili sauce). We came here to celebrate my son's birthday and we were able to make reservations online which made the process very easy and efficient. We were greeted by our server and he showed us the different types of soup bases we can choose from. I really like that it's individual pots so we can all have our own soup bases. I chose the sukiyaki base and it was not too sweet or too salty which was perfect. I really liked the variety of different cuts of wagyu beef, pork and lamb and also a lot of vegetables and sides options. There was a lot of hot prepared food as well as sushi options. To end the meal I got the self serve ice cream and there were cakes and egg tarts too. The store is very nicely decorated. Lots of options, meat was good quality. I like how you can grab the meat yourself instead of having to order/wait for the servers. Besides meat, there's a variety of appetizers and a good assortment of desserts that include egg tarts, small cakes, and soft serve ice cream. The egg tarts were surprisingly good, although it was very buttery/heavy, so I definitely can't too many of them, haha. The drink station was also great with so many options and the drinks aren't too sweet either. It does get crowded around the meat/food/drink stations though since the aisles are pretty narrow. While we were already impressed with the food, the service we received was even more impressive. Our server Evelyn was a total sweetheart and so attentive to our table. She made hot tea for my parents, helped us defrost our meat, and just brought us anything we needed with a smile and wonderful attitude. The meat and seafood selection was fresh. Delicious. The desserts were good and so were some of the buffet items. The drinks were all good too. The sushi was mediocre. The cold dishes were good. The fried foods were below average. For the 35 dollar lunch price point though, i was satisfied. The service was just "okay". We were there for 90 minutes and not once were empty or dirty plates cleared. A very clear drop in service compared to chubby cattle irvine The ambiance was nice. Upscale and modern. However, the stations were not cleaned and properly maintained as many areas were dirty and with missing labels. Would i go again? Yea, it is good for the price. Great staff members they constantly check on us, amazing food selections on meat, veggies, seafood, noodles, dipping sauce station . Their dim sum and their dessert wasn't the best, and surprisingly they had a couple of sushi selections too. Inside is very modern, their drink selections were neat, from your regular drinks to slushies. The restaurant itself is very clean in the inside. This is easily one of my favorite ayce hot pot spots in OC. I've been here many times and honestly don't have anything bad to say about it. The restaurant is always clean, and I love the interior design and overall ambiance. Everything feels modern, organized, and well maintained. Compared to a lot of other self serve restaurants, the food stations here are consistently stocked, fresh, and clean. The selection is huge. They have a great variety of seafood, meats, vegetables, hot foods, drinks, and desserts. I especially love the self serve drink station but sometimes a machine or two is out of service. I usually get the spicy tonkotsu broth but their sukiyaki broth is really good too. The eel nigiri is my favorite but the salmon can be a little fishy at times. The dim sum is decent but nothing particularly memorable. I also love the wide variety of sauces at the sauce bar since you can customize your dipping sauce however you want. I haven't tried too many of the desserts, but the egg tarts are definitely my favorite. The service here is always on point and everyone is super friendly. I recently visited Wagyu Factory that is located in the District Tustin Legacy and had a good visit. The restaurant has a modern and stylish atmosphere that feels both casual and upscale. Everything was clean and well organized, making it a great place for a nice lunch or dinner with friends and family. Parking was convenient since the restaurant is located in a shopping center with a large shared parking lot nearby. The service was also very good throughout our dining experience. Staff members were friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the different cuts of wagyu and menu recommendations. Orders came out quickly, and the overall experience felt welcoming and enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious and full of rich flavor. Some of the top menu items I recommend are the Wagyu Beef Bowl and Wagyu Fried Rice. We got their Japanese A5 Wagyu plates which was fatty and tasty just right amount of flavor to satisfy my hunber. The beef was incredibly tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. They even have a hot food bar and I got some egg tarts a swell. Quite good! They have membership and non membership prices. We arrived around 1600 hours, which of course, the restaurant was recovering from the lunch crowd and preparing for the crazy dinner crowds that were starting to build up. A few minor observations of the restaurant operations overall: 1. Any specific reason the Non-Asians or mixed Asian diners were seated in the side dining area behind the hostess desk? I thought my Caucasian wife was seeing things until I started paying attention to who was being seated in our area versus the main dining area. 2. A lot of the sliced beef selections were frozen to their metal serving dishes. My wife and I had to prop the metal plates on the broth pot to thaw enough to remove the meat slices. 3. My wife trued the kumquat slushy, and that has now become her favorite beverage there. We're hoping this flavored slushy is always offered! Wagyu factory was a great dining experience. I was planning to get together with a couple of friends. And saw that why the factory was one of the places nearby we kind of just stumbled upon it. Another friend had said that they had been here before in the past. Turns out that this place I'd like opened up since September So it's still a relatively new I've gone to some of the chubby group locations in the past. So I knew what I was getting myself into in the best way possible. There are some confusion at least on the yelp reservation process. If it's under a party of six they do not put you in the VIP area so I wanted to make sure that I was getting charged extra. Prices for the weekdays tend to be a bit lower than the weekends. But this is definitely a place to come and get some amazing shabu shabu. At first, we weren't really sure where things were but here most of the things are self service. There are a couple things that you can order through the iPad. But most of things we would go and get on your own including the meat and the veggies and everything else. There's so many amazing things to get. I had to make a separate trips. The curry rice and the minced beef rice were all really good too I really was a big fan of their egg tarts. They were great. I keep thinking about them. Very phenomenal. I'm glad they opened up a similar Ish location here in the San Gabriel Valley closer to me, so I don't have to go all the way down to Orange County. read more

Although the photos show an extensive buffet whose items you can choose from, many of the cooked items were order-by-tablet only on the week night that I went. Only the desserts, drinks, and sauces were self serve. We were told we only had 90 minutes to eat, so we waited for everyone to show up. The staff was good at explaining the menu. We had a nice large room, but the room was a bit noisy. The restaurant overall had generous spacing. We tried to order as much as we could. We got the premium package so we had access to the A5 cuts. The wagyu was ok, I think I've had better cuts of beef elsewhere. I really enjoyed the sukiyaki broth for the beef. We also ordered a wide variety of sides. Most of the sides were fairly standard. The lobster roll was decent. The wagyu burger slider was very good though. Overall, solid hot pot restaurant but the beef was ok. read more

I've been a member for about 10 months and have visited more than 10 times, but the experience has gradually become disappointing. The food selection and quality have both declined, and weekday service is often understaffed. During my latest visit, the server said they were the only person working. This is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, so customers get most of the food themselves. The server mainly asks which soup base we want and handles payment. Yet the payment screen defaults to a 20% tip, with 18% as the lowest one-tap option. The server also holds the tablet while you choose, which creates an awkward pressure because they can immediately see the tip amount. For a $100 bill, that means around $20 for very limited service. I'm not against tipping, but the suggested amount should match the actual service provided. With declining food quality, fewer choices, and weaker service, the membership no longer feels worth it. read more

Love the meat, veggies, seafood, and hot food selections. The dumplings were just ok. The ice cream machine was out of service and the milk tea machines were empty. Love that you can just grab whatever meat you want rather than having to order them. The broth was good but they do get extremely salty. The servers come around asking if we want to add water to the broth which then makes the broth taste bland and then get salty again as it boils and loses its flavor. Nothing notable to mention about the service. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Will give them another try soon. read more

One of my favorite AYCE hot pot places. They offer a large variety of dishes and the meats are of higher quality. I love that it includes drinks including slushies. Lunch and dinner are almost the same food with the king crab legs offered during dinner. The king crab legs aren't really king crab. I don't care for it much and it runs out super fast. They have a new batch every half hour but you have to hurry and line up. In terms of prices, I do have a membership which essentially almost pays for itself since you do get to pay a discounted "member" price and receive a free meal on your birthday. I came in for lunch today and was surprised to see a price increase. They haven't updated their prices online yet so I wasn't expecting it. When I asked the manager, I was told that prices increased over Memorial Day. Previously lunch prices were $30 for members, now it's $35 which is a big jump. Basically those who paid for memberships are now paying the previous non-membership price. read more

Hatch is an amazing server, very attentive and pleasant. Came around 5 PM as a walk in and was seated right away, it was perfect because the restaurant wasn't crowded yet. Here for the wagyu obviously so i had 2 plates of it and it was top notch. Had a few of the hot pot items, vegetables and crab. Made myself a nice mix for my dipping after. Not much of a soda or sweet drinks, should have asked for water or hot tea. Nigiri sushi rice were a bit hard so i didn't love that nor the takoyaki. Will definitely stick to the wagyu and vegetables next time. A few dessert choices, i only enjoyed the chocolate/vanilla soft serve. Overall, great food and good vibes! read more

We had such a great experience at Wagyu Factory, and a huge part of that was our server, Hatch. He was hands down the best server we've ever had! From the moment we sat down, he was energetic, funny, charismatic, and made the entire dining experience so much fun. Hatch has an incredible personality and knows exactly how to make guests feel welcome. He kept us laughing throughout the meal while also being attentive, knowledgeable, and making sure everything came out perfectly. The restaurant is an elevated shabu shabu factory. I was really glad I got to go with family. My mom had found it on yelp and we were blown away by the variety of dishes that were there. For special occasions this is the place to go as you will see the pictures attached to this review. You will notice that each food is prepared with great thoughtfulness. There's regular upkeep of the area. They also said there's some servers who are very fun and other servers who are respectful of the precious time you get to spend with your loved ones at the table. Whoever you get I hope you enjoy the company. Our family certainly enjoyed ours! If you become a regular visitor of this place be sure to download their app. For us this goes beyond usual budget however, I am sure that with well calculated budgeting you can make it work if this becomes your favorite place to go! My friend and I came here for their lunch special. It was $35 for members and $40 non members for all you can eat. I love the variety they have here. You get to pick from the variety of broths they have and if you do not like it, let the server know and they can switch it out for you! Then, you go to the bar area and serve yourself the meat. Which is awesome because you get to pick how much or how little you want. They also have a veggie area, seafood area, noodles, and other types of meatball /shrimp ball you would like to put into your hot pot. They also have a "hot" bar where they have cheeseburgers, lobster roll, fried chicken wings, chicken nuggets, french fries, sushi, beef short rib, dimsum. Unlimited fountain drink and lemonades. Also, they have ice cream and melona bars. Their egg tart was sooo yummy! So much flavor, so soft and so flaky. This place is amazing and definitely love the option! My friend ended up getting the membership since her birthday is next month and pretty much the membership pays for your birthday meal and we both got to get the membership price for our lunch. Man, the Chubby Corporation really knows how to build restaurant themes. Came here on a weekend for brunch and it was just a great spread and such a good selection of food. Surprised to see the wagyu burger and lobster rolls. The drinks are included and they offer unique flavors. As a taro fan, happy to see they have taro soft serve. Bonus points for that! And, get the membership as it applies to all Chubby Corporation restaurants (but not the same perks for every location) if you even plan to dine with them 2-3 times a year. I would have given this place a much higher rating if my stomach didn't hurt insanely BAD for the next 2 days. We got here before it opened, and it already had a long Yelp waitlist. We were pretty high on the waitlist, and the only reason it took so long to get seated was that the staff took FOREVER to prepare the tables. You can choose 1 hot pot broth, and I chose the Tonkatsu. It didn't have much flavor, so I utitlized the sauce. There are many options of Wagyu beef and since you can get it by yourself, you don't have to wait for the waiter to bring it to you, which was a plus. The flavor and quality of the beef was solid. The Wagyu beef is the main reason to come! There was also hot food (which I think was the main reason my stomach hurt). The nigiri was eh since the fish on top of the rice was cooked and not raw. They had some BBQ Short Ribs that were super overcooked and hard. Desserts were not good. I tried the Strawberry Mousse and Tiramisu Mousse which both had a weird texture and tasted super artificial. The Earl Grey Roll was okay, and the ice cream was meh. A little disappointing but I guess that you don't come here for the desserts. Overall, I would have given this place a higher rating, but because my stomach hurt so bad after, I can't justify a good rating. I am a fan of the chubby club, so it's been on my list to try wagyu factory. Unfortunately I would rank wagyu factory at the bottom of the other restaurant offerings. I didn't feel the food at that bar was exciting and the items were not replenished often so I was constantly eying the bar for the next batch. The meats itself want also meh, but perhaps it's because I opted for their standard instead of premium option. But still! For $50/person I'm expecting some better cuts than was available! The highlight though was our server Hatch. He is such a character and knows how to bring in the energy for a good time. We were lucky to have him as his service was great! We came here for our Valentine's Day dinner with the kids (but not on Valentine's Day obviously because we wanted to skip the crowd). Hahaha that's what happens when you get old! They have good quality meat, a variety of veggies and sides, and the service was great! The ambiance, design, especially the layout is very modern, organized and the staff/service was impressive. My only feedback is that the meats ran out fast but refilled within minutes. I would come back here again, it is a cheaper option than Chubby Cattle and the line isn't out the door. My friends and i came here on a saturday night and did not have a great experience. We were on the yelp waitlist for over an hour, then when we got the text that our table was ready we had to wait in the restaurant for another 15 minutes. We got seated at around 8:30 and alot of the hot bar foods were not stocked and the sauce area was a huge mess with many of the bins not having labels. The broths we got were sukiyaki and tonkatsu which were both misses. For one, they took 10-15 minutes to come out and another 10-15 minutes to start boiling. This limited our time to eat greatly. The sukiyaki was overly sweet and the tonkatsu tasted very gamey. Additionally, between 4 people you can only get 2 broths which limited our selection. By around 9:15 when we were ready for our next round of meat, there was no meat in the meat section. I asked a waiter why and they said the meat slicer was broken. However the meat was not refilled for the rest of the night, essentially making our ayce experience very not ayce. The only items left to eat were the fried chicken nuggets, fries, and some dim sum. Furthermore, the waiter lady pressured us to close out our check before we even asked for it even though it was about 30 minutes before closing time and we were still fully eating. They also started cleaning up all the food at 9:30 even though they close at 10. I wish this was disclosed to us prior to us getting seated because we would not have proceeded with dining here if we knew we had less than an 1 hr to eat and could only get 1 round of meat. Overall i feel like we truly did not get our money's worth and we will not be back. I am also turned off from trying other chubby group establishments. I recommend dada or all that shabu if you are looking for better, higher quality hot pot. read more

But now, there are weirdly a lot of gnats everywhere, and I feel like that says a lot. The entire store is just dirtier in general.
