It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

One of our cats can be a little skittish, but Angela was patient with him and he opened up SO much quicker than we could have ever imagined. She also does a great job taking care of our home -- bringing in mail and keeping everything very neat. She was also great with communication. We'd get thorough updates every morning with many pictures and a thorough write-up. Even though her commitment was only for overnight, she would often go above and beyond and stop by in the evening just to check on them for 30 minutes.

We have two cats who are our precious and spoiled babies and at the time, my current cat sitter was in the process of retiring. We took a chance with Allie and couldn't be happier with her services. I love how advanced her company is with allowing you to book services via the app, select your preferred time and to be as detailed as possible regarding the care of your pets. The app alerts you to who will be the sitter, when they are en route and when they leave. Every sitter we have has followed our instructions perfectly and they also go above and beyond by checking our mail and retrieving any packages at our front door as long as it is in the allotted time frame. Each time the sitter leaves, they upload photos of them with your animal and recap what they did during the visit. You can also reply via the app or email and it goes directly to the sitter. When we travel, I can relax knowing that my babies are in good, trusting hands.
