After waking up from a long nap on a roadtrip, I woke up to this beautiful site! As an East-coaster, it's always good to see a Waffle House because I KNOW I'm going to get good wholesome customer service and fresh food. I ordered the All-Star since I wanted a lil of everything, especially the waffle! Eggs were perfectly made over easy, cinnamon toast was already buttered with love, and the waffle had me humming some made up tune I created. We had breakfast for lunch and it was excellent, sausage is yummy. But the best part, had nothing to do with breakfast. My husband dropped his wallet on the floor. We realized, about 10 miles down the road. We circled back hoping to find it. The wonderful women that waited on us saw me and ran outside to hand it to me. We were so happy that she had found it. So as a native Californian I have heard of Waffle House but never tried one. When I got hungry on a drive from Maine to Florida and saw Waffle House pop up on my phone, I knew that was where I was going. In my mind I thought it would be like Dennys or IHOP. The restaurant was tiny and the menu was small. I liked that. It reminded me of In-N-Out Burger, where they focus on a core menu and knock it out of the park. And that is exactly what Waffle House did with my breakfast! Eggs, bacon and hash browns were cooked as requested and terrific. The waffle though! That was above and beyond the BEST waffle I ever had. It was light and crispy yet soft in all the right ways. It was the size of a Belgian waffle but not as thick. The Thickness was like an Eggo waffle. If you like Eggos, you'll LOVE Waffle House waffles. I only wish I could have had more, Next time I'm anywhere near a Waffle House, I will be stopping in. Great waffle house off of 95 in Wilson. Awesome employees. Fast service. Great waffle house food. Plenty of parking. Pecan waffle was hot and delicious and full of pecans. Egg bowl with hashbrowns and cheese was superb. Restaurant was slammed before I got there, but they were cleaning it up. Half Restaurant was closed because of it. Clean bathrooms. This place is awful! They have terrible customer service and everyone there needs customer service training asap. I walked in and went to the register and all of the employees walked past me, no one spoke, offered a menu, nothing. They acted as if I didn't exist when I was the only person standing in line. We eat at wafflehouses quite often when traveling. This wafflehouse does not deserve to have the w or h capitalized. I can understand why this particular wh has a 2.5 rating. The staff was more concerned with socializing than making the meal. Service was slow with few customer. They were however friendly when dealing with us. Bacon, Sausage and toast was burnt to a crisp. Eggs over cooked, waffles and hash browns were good as normal. Restrooms were not clean. read more

Waffle House is FOR the waffles, which cam piping hot. Used real butter instead of their margarine and they provide assembly line syrup. Service was personable and efficient. The restaurant was clean and filled with patrons. read more

I love waffle House. Their coffee is very good. My family and I went recently and enjoyed our food. It was fast, fresh and very good.

You poor Waffle House! You don't have a single Yelp review. Heck, you weren't even on the app map until we stopped by for a late breakfast on our way to warmer weather. I know, I know...you're in the middle of nowhere along I-95, but you still deserve a little love since you're the South's most popular breakfast diner. Kudos for being open 24/7, but what's with the limited number of small tables? You know you could fill up twice that amount with the local crowd we saw waiting in front and behind us in line. I'm just glad we were finally able to get seats at the counter. But listen up. Just keep churning out those greasy spoon breakfast combos at affordable prices, which keep those hardworking servers on their toes, and maybe you'll garner some additional attention soon. Beware -- do NOT use this particular Waffle House to introduce your new wife to the wonders of scattered, smothered, and covered as I did this weekend. The place wasn't busy, but our table was filthy and wasn't cleaned for the first 20 minutes we were there. Our waitress ("Team member since 2007") got the order wrong. We sent it back and the cook blew up and told her to leave, but she said she was going to stay there ALL NIGHT LONG just to make him miserable. The food was cold and still wrong when it came. Other folks simply gave up and left. I wish we had before I saw the "Sanitation Grade B" on the wall (that might explain my wife's extended toilet time the next day). Somebody call WHHQ in Norcross, GA to start the excommunication of this location from the hallowed franchise! I grew up in NC, and Wilson Waffle House, you spoiled 20+ years of great Waffle House memories (fortunately, we had a great Waffle House experience at the Morrisville location two nights later -- redemption! While my experience was not nearly as bad as Chad's, I found good and bad with this Waffle House. The good: The chef and waitress were not fighting today! The food was quite good. The cleanliness rating is back up to A status, so no extended bathroom breaks after breakfast. The bad: The table was dirty, and I did need to ask the waitress to clean it off. The waitress seemed to be having a bad day, or that was her normal personality. She was quick and filled my coffee cup often, but never smiled once. If you are looking for a cheap quick meal, Waffle House is usually a good place to go. I gave 3 stars because the table was messy and the waitress was cranky. Probably the most organized, best executed, cleanest, and friendliest of ALL of the Waffle House locations I have visited in this part of North Carolina... and this was a Sunday at 11:00AM! Were they busy? Yes. Did I still get a kind, friendly greeting upon walking in? Yes. Did they clear us a table the moment one came open? Yes. Bathrooms clean? Yup! Our server Lisa, was very attentive, got our order correct on the first shot (rare for other locations), the food was made correctly and was done to perfection, didn't skimp on the food, and kept drinks refilled and empty plates removed. Waffle House on hwy 264 in Wilson, NC has the worst service imaginable. Collin Winfred Wade and I arrived there at 4:00AM on 7/24/21. We were refused service and asked to leave at 4:30AM 7/24/21. We sat down at 4am and no server ever approached us to serve us. At 4:20am Collin approached one of the servers to ask can we get some service at our table. They sent someone over to clear our table since it was still dirty from the last patrons. We thanked that server for clearing the table with no response. Then the 1st grill operator came over and told us we were being rude and disrespectful and had to leave. We asked what did we do wrong and they said that they only have 2 servers and 2 grill cooks and that we were being to demanding and wanted to be treated like kings. We only approached to ask can we get some service after we saw the staff serve someone that walked in after us. We explained the situation to the grill operator but he did not want to understand our side of the story and just wanted us to leave. As we were leaving the second grill operator and 2 servers were laughing because they were able to use the little bit of power that they have to refuse someone an opportunity to eat. We let them know we will be contacting someone from corporate as soon as possible to let them know of our experience and how they intend to remedy it. As we were walking out the door the 2nd grill operator also made some racial remarks towards us and when we responded back that they are idiots and don't deserve to be in a customer service environment he threatened to come from behind the counter to beat our ass. These are the people asking to get $15 an hour but can not even provide proper service. People that know me know that I have multiple restaurants in and around Wilson. This type of service would never be tolerated in my establishments. I will try my hardest to make sure I can have a meeting with the person in charge of this location to make sure they hear my concerns and something is definitely done about this. read more

What makes it worse is, when you drive by because they won't answer to place your to go.. there's only one customer sitting there. They used the excuse "the phones don't work" but when u go in its not even on the hook. They should all be fired considering. Y'all do better. read more

Service is terrible tried calling in my order the lady didn't ask me to hold on she just slammed the phone down I waited 61/2 minutes no one came back to the phone so I drove over to the restaurant and still stood 4 minutes until someone asked to take my order he was a nice guy but he walked away and I waited another minute before the girl came over to actually take my order!! If I could give zero stars, I would have. I am traveling with my family from SC back home to NY, and stopped here to get something to eat. All 5 of us sat at the counter, were the only people in the restaurant, and were ignored for several minutes before being given silverware, then ignored some more and had to ask for menus. After some more waiting, waitress finally took our orders. She had to tell the cook to get up and cook our orders, he was sitting chatting with coworkers who were apparently off duty, on break, whatever - not sure what the group of them were doing. The cook finally reluctantly got up and cooked our orders. We could see him cooking - he never changed his gloves between handling raw hamburgers and bacon and then handling lettuce and tomatoes to put on the burgers.Drinks we ordered were an afterthought after we were served our food, and while passing them out the waitress said we'd have to taste them to see if we had the right ones because she had no idea which ones she'd poured the regular coke into and which were diet. Any requests were met with an eye roll and a sigh from staff. If you're traveling on I95 and come to exit 121 in Wilson, NC. do yourself a big favor and skip the waffle house!! read more

I had the best experience ever at this Waffle House tonight. After working for a Waffle House, I swore I would never eat there again! Desperate times call for desperate measures! Terry was a delight and made taking my order a great experience. Tanisha kept me entertained with her jokes and jovial personality. The food prepared by Richard was amazing and well above expectations. Stopped here for Supper tonight, no hubby no kid no cookin! Had a taste for some breakfast for Supper so Waffle House it is! Only 2 others when i walked in and girls smiled from behind the counter. Sat at the end of the counter at the bar. Bad idea, as i got front row seats to my disappointing meal. Ordered the same thing i always do, All star breakfast..scrambled WITH cheese, white toast, sausage, side of gravy..nope don't want the grits or hash browns i won't eat em. I know it comes with it and is included in the price, and thats ok, but I don't want to waste it. I say that every time too. This is when the ridiculous begins..the 2 younger girls are actin fools, loudly, as one goes out for smoke break. She proceeds to bang on the window which makes all of us patrons, 2 more have since come in, look up as she proceeds to press both middle fingers to the glass for her counterpart to see. Wow. Waffle sat in front of me and its a thin burnt flattened waffle. I flipped it to see if any better and nope. So i cut it in half, soaked with syrup and set aside. Eggs show up scrambled, but WITHOUT cheese, bowl of grits, no gravy. So you wasted a bowl of grits, even after i asked you not to. Asked for the gravy and proceeded to eat. Food was good, like i am used to, except the awful waffle soaking in syrup. I managed to eat a couple bites, just for the sweet. Got to the counter and asked her to take off the 45 cents for cheese since there was none. She questioned me," you sure there wasn't any cheese?". Uh, yes. I know its only 45 cents but you also did have to just dump a bowl of grits in the trash. That makes me mad, so gimme back my 45 cents. I can only hope it was an off night for these folks, seeing how the Manager on duty didn't seem to care about how the night was going. First time at this Waffle House and probably my last. I think there is another one across town. read more
