It was fairly busy but the food came out pretty quick. I got PawPaws breakfast (eggs, bacon, potatoes and a biscuit) . The biscuit and potatoes were the best part. Honestly delicious. The eggs were a little wet for my liking. They have 4 pieces of bacon which I appreciate. Overall , a decent breakfast

Well come to find out West of The Mississippi they don't do the full menu ! No bone- in chicken , no Cajun Chicken Biscuit only the Regular , No Country Ham Biscuit. So of course I ordered a Cajun Chicken Biscuit and a Country Ham and Egg Biscuit. They were both good. The dining room and counter area was clean and the employees were nice. I will hit Bojangle's in the Carolinas during my vacation for bone-in chicken breast , dirty rice , and more.

It's already expensive as heck and yet I have to indulge a cold fried bird. Sheeesh!! Maybe eating cold fried chicken is a thing in Ruston but where I'm from, we eat hot fried chicken. No worries, I won't be returning here anymore. The drive thru service was great but the cold food sucks!

It's the hot link. It tastes like somebody fired up the grill in their backyard instead of a fast-food kitchen. The burgers hold their own against just about every chain out there, and if you add chili, you'll thank me later. Then there's dessert. Shakes, fried pies, strawberry shortcake...they've got every course covered. Griff's feels like a throwback to a time when fast food had a little more personality and tasted like somebody actually cared. Places like this are getting harder to find. It's right across from Louisiana Tech, so expect a line when school's in session. Don't let it scare you off. It's absolutely worth the wait. Face it, people like Griff's.

Owners Paul (the talented chef) and Kate bring such a personal touch to everything--they clearly care deeply about their customers and stopped by our table to chat, ensuring everything was perfect. Their genuine hospitality made the visit extra special. The food itself is outstanding. Everything is truly farm-to-table, with the restaurant sourcing all of its fresh ingredients directly from local farmers. You can taste the difference in every bite--the vibrant flavors, incredible freshness, and quality that only comes from supporting nearby producers. I especially loved their great specialty coffees, which paired beautifully with the seasonal dishes and breakfast/lunch offerings. The plates were exceptional, highlighting the best of what our region has to offer. We'll definitely be back soon (it's breakfast and lunch only, so plan your visit accordingly!) and will be recommending Lula Perl to all our friends and family. If you're looking for great service, exceptional locally sourced meals, and that wonderful personal care from Paul and Kate, this is the place! Highly recommend.

I hate leaving negative reviews, but this was a very disappointing experience…read more I ordered burgers, fries, and drinks through the drive-thru like normal. When I pulled up to the window, my food was handed to me, and I asked for a side of their sauce. That's when I was told they were out. I opened my burger and found that it only had the meat, one pickle, and the bun--no condiments at all. Thinking it was just an oversight, I asked for ketchup and mayonnaise. I was then told they were completely out of all sauces and condiments because they were waiting on their delivery truck the next morning. The only response I received was, "Sorry," followed by a shrug. I was even offered queso as a substitute, which wasn't a reasonable replacement for burger condiments. What was most frustrating is that no one mentioned they were out of everything when I placed my order. Had I known, I would have ordered something else or gone somewhere different. Instead, I paid full price for food that wasn't what I expected. I sat there honestly in disbelief, waiting for someone to offer a solution--a refund, a remake, or even an acknowledgment that this wasn't acceptable. Instead, everyone simply went back to work as if it wasn't a big deal. I was left feeling like the expectation was that I should just eat it. In the end, I left, went somewhere else to eat, and threw away the food I had just paid for. This was my second time stopping here while passing through West Monroe because I remembered wanting to eat here again. Unfortunately, after this experience, I don't see myself coming back. I truly hope this review is taken as constructive feedback. This restaurant has so much potential to be successful, but communication and customer service matter just as much as the food. Simply letting customers know about major menu limitations before they order--and making an effort to make things right when problems arise--would have made all the difference.

The amount of fries they give you seems to have tapered off a bit, but for the price, I can't complain. The tea is great and the employees are always so friendly and helpful. Plus, it always has that new house scent when you walk in, as if they just finished constructing the building the day before. Also, I've yet to see another restaurant as consistently clean as Slim Chickens is. I only have one complaint. When you go there while the sun is going down, there is a two to three hour period where it's impossible to sit on the entrance side, without being blinded by the sunlight. Their walls are giant windows and there's absolutely nothing blocking the sun on that side of the building and no blinds or tinted windows. I wrote the company yesterday and addressed this situation. Less than 24 hours later, I received a reply from the Vice-President of Operations, stating: "I appreciate you being a loyal guest of Slim Chickens! I wanted to drop you a note and tell you I appreciate the feedback and I am currently working on a solution for the windows. Thank you for your feedback and again, for being loyal guest!" As if this company's customer service couldn't get any better! They really are amazing. So all of you who eat there and have to avoid the entrance side like a bunch of vampires after 4:00 PM, help is on the way. I only wish I could give Slim Chickens more stars.
