My food is never right i stopped going because of it and i gave yall a chance today and my order was still wrong

Wow me and a friend was just talking bout the best burgers we ever had. I'll never forget this place. Back in 2011 when we were at grambling state we use to eat this multiple times a week. Last night-4/13/26- Food was great, got a BBQ Bacon burger with tots, but the reason for my 3 star review is because of the service- my best friend orders and no problems, then it was my turn and the cashier was busy ( no problem i understand- it's what happened next is what i don't understand ) The cashier asked the front food line employee to take my order, the front food line employee said "no" then the cashier walked away with her business and the front food line employee stood there and proceeded to not take my order. To the point where the cook in the window asked if she, the front food line employee, took my order- and she said "i already taken their order" then some people walk inside and she turns to the counter, points to the people behind me and my boyfriend and says "i can take the next person's order" That is when i looked at her and said , "that is us, we are next" and she looks at me and says "oh yall are next" and i gave her my order and i walked away. I don't understand what was so hard about asking me if anyone had taken care of us and/or if anyone took our order as we stand at the front counter right in front of the register patiently waiting for our order to be taken. I think her name is Dasha maybe-not quite sure. Cashier's name was Issabella. I've worked various places in the food industry and that just seemed unprofessional. She had no problem taking anyone else order after me. Took her 13 mins between my best friend's order being taken to mine getting taken. Speedy service..? mm that needs work. read more

This is a great little place to grab a real burger, fries, and shake. We usually drive through on our way home, but there is a dining room. It's got a diner feel and friendly service. All the burgers are described as "giant". I wouldn't describe them that way, but they are very generous for the price, served hot and fresh next to skinny cut fries in traditional drive in style. They have great flavor and you can top them with just about anything-pepperjack, jalapeños, chili, whatever. Everyone locally raves about Griff's. Well it wouldn't look like much in the outside. It's kind of old, looks like something you would see in Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. But don't let that deter you. It's a little restaurants tucked away on the south side of campus and if you blink you'll miss it. When I got there It was a pretty standard wait, the drive through was just like any other drive through, they were courteous but not too courteous so it wasn't weird. I ordered a #1 combo with a sweet tea and an order of onion rings. Surprising not expensive. I got to the window and when you're hit by that "how you doing baby" you know that food bout to slap. The first thing I get is this basically Styrofoam bucket and that was my drink. I'm all here for that. Then I get my food and they were super generous with the portion. You get what you paid for and more I would say. Burger was a nice size, I would compare it more to a texas Whataburger (not LA's, that's trash). It was better in a way that the burger was nice juicy and flavorful everything you want in a burger. Understand it was not a gourmet burger but a fast food burger so compare it at that level. The fries were nice, fresh, and hot. Could use a little more salt in my opinion but that's ok. The biggest takeaway I got from this were the onion rings. Hands down one of the best onion rings I've gotten in a long time. It passes the bite test where the onion doesn't all come out on the first bite and was nice and tender onion that almost seemed caramelized. The batter was flavorful and crispy. Whole meal I would rate at a 4/5 stars. I enjoyed it, wasn't the best I've eaten but a solid option for the convenience and price. Will be coming back for more! read more

Stopped here on the way back to Texas. Probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. The service was amazing, the food came out fast and so fresh, huge portions for $11. Also to add the bathrooms were so clean! Definitely worth the stop! read more

I go to Ruston every couple of weeks or so, always intending on picking up something different, but I always decide on Griff's, instead. Their burgers are just so good, as are their fries and sweet tea. The employees are always polite, and the service is fast. Griff's, in my opinion, have the best fast food burgers in Louisiana. Just be careful when eating in your car, because the bags are thin. I found out the hard way, when I lifted the bag from my lap, and saw that the ketchup I'd put on it had soaked through the bag and onto my jeans. Normally, I'd eat inside. But we aren't in normal times. Still, thin bags won't stop this review from being a five-star review. Just a lesson learned. read more

Came after a cross ountry meet for the boys. My son says 4 stars but I'm giving three because it's pretty run down. They definitely cook to order. Had to wait a little for our food. I tried the Jalepeno cheddar puffs. They are crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. Just wish I had some hot sauce or salsa instead of ketchup for dipping. Son had the burger. I had a bite. Pretty good for the price. $6.99 double cheeseburger meal. read more

My father brought me to Griff's because when he was in college he would frequent this establishment. From the way it looks, not much has changed since the 60's but that was cool to see my father transported back in time to his youth. The food was definitely cooked to order & was delicious! It was a good old fashioned, non artificial, honest to goodness burger. It was much bigger than the burgers of today's fast food restaurants, the fries were fresh & in abundance, and the drink was huge! The biggest cup I've seen in a long time! But it was priced around $8 similar to most combo meals of contemporary restaurants. Eating at Griff's was eating in a blast from the past! Griff's is an 50 plus year old franchise (Started in the 1960s) that is mostly located in the southern states. I have eaten here before and it reminds me of a homemade hamburger bar/grill from diners. They serve other types of meats besides hamburgers (chicken,steak and fish sandwiches). I tried the Griff's giant burger and it was it good burger, but it is not a burger that will have you switch over to your "Goto" burger! When I come to Ruston again, I will be sure to stop by!! The best hamburgers. Hands down. They are always cooked fresh and they are definitely worth it. The onion rings are also very tasty! The restaurant is always packed when I go or pass by and I definitely understand why! The service takes an acceptable amount of time for the food quality. Griff's has a homemade burger type feeling, patties aren't made in perfect circles or squares like most franchise places. I sometimes like the extra greasiness of the burgers..fries could be better but when they're hot they get the job done but only when they are hot. read more

OMG! Well, let me get started. The appearance is pretty daunting, but when you go inside, it is cleaner than one would expect. Enough about appearances. DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER. Well I got a #1 which is a double stack hamburger with all the essentials that comes with a freaking huge drink and fries. I love it sooooo much!! The fries were sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good! I could eat those fries for the rest of my life, seriously.. Then get to the burger. UMMM!! I can not explain it. While coming through Louisiana, I got hungry and wanted to find a local joint to have a burger. We mapped out another burger joint but it led us to a funeral home and said we arrived at our destination, scary. We turned around and found this location. It was our second choice. We got there and in the parking lot, there was a strong burger joint smell, it was intoxicating. We finally went in and the menu and ordering were very simple. I ordered the basic hamburger with fries and onion rings. It was and it did take some time to come out and when it did, it looked pretty good. I did finally bite into the burger and it was juicy and had a good basic flavor to it. I did not expect it to be gourmet but I was pleasantly surprised. It was a good value and I enjoyed it. The onion rings were good and greasy. Overall, it is good and I would go again but not on a regular basis, mostly because it would be a 10 hour drive from our house, it's not that good to drive that far for food. read more

Reminds me of the old fashioned burgers from the 70s at Sonic. They are cheap and filling if you are needing some lunch on a budget. You can adjust to get -/+ hamburgers and toppings for how hungry you are that day. Don't expect a gourmet burger and fries then it will meet your expectations. read more

Griff's is great for the price you pay. The prices on everything are low and you get a large amount of food for what you pay. The staff here are always friendly. You'll never have to wait long for your food. Out of all the fast food in Ruston this place is one of the best around. All in all it is a great place to visit to get some food. I went to college around these parts and man oh man did I love a greasy burger from this joint. Every time I go here I get the monster burger with three stacks. It's so on point. The place doesn't look up today inside one bit. All original stuff it seems like. Fries are good but once they get warm they are garbage. The staff is like any other place you go, fast food of course. I wouldn't eat this stuff everyday but I go here when I'm in town visiting.
