I have been a regular customer at this particular Dairy Queen since 2016 and I have not had many problems. My father and I stopped by Dairy Queen for dinner. I ordered a six piece chicken basket with a side of onion rings and an Oreo Blizzard for to go. I received my Oreo Blizzard within a few minutes and I was pleased. I did not have to wait much longer for my meal. While inside, there was not a long line and the radio was playing. My father and I were inside and heading back to our car within a short amount of time. On the downside, I realized why my order had taken little time to be prepared. The food was practically scattered all over the inside of the to go box and most of it appeared to have either been slightly overcooked or left out for a little while. The chicken tenders were far too crunchy and hard on the outside and smaller than I am used to them being. Most of the fries were chewy, some being harder than others. Out of my whole meal, the two slices of toast, onion rings, and Oreo Blizzard were prepared normally. (The toast was slightly chewy, but not too chewy to complain about.) I paid slightly more than $18 for my meal and I am not pleased with how my order had been prepared, for the most part. When I order food at a restaurant, I have clear expectations as a customer-- good service, good handling, and getting my money's worth. This is my second visit to Dairy Queen this month. I think it will be my last. I ordered a plain hamburger with ketchup only, a child's Dr. Pepper, and cheese curds. My granddaughter and I were in the restaurant because it was 103°. I guess the air conditioning couldn't handle the heat, but we persevered. Got the order- a cheeseburger with pickle, mustard, and ketchup. My granddaughter would not eat it. Thinking that I may have made a mistake, I went back and ordered a plain hamburger with ketchup only. Got another cheeseburger. My granddaughter was hungry so I peeled off the cheese, removed the pickle and wiped off the mustard. Well, everyone has an off day. I returned today (2:35 pm and no cars in the lot) with an order specifying a hamburger with ketchup only, extra ketchup, and the cheese curds. I added a chocolate malt without whipped cream. I repeated that I DOD NOT want whipped cream. Got my order. Malt with whipped cream, a cheeseburger with everything, and no ketchup. This time I returned the cheeseburger and waited while they prepared a hamburger. The staff does not appear to be mentally or physically handicapped, but perhaps they have a hearing problem. Maybe it is a technology problem. Additionally, they acted as though it was my fault that the order was wrong. I don't know what would happen if there were more customers. Wait! It would probably trigger trauma among the staff. It may be time for some additional training or management should consider an artificial intelligence option. read more

The wait at the line was long, but once we sat down boy was the food fast. The worker there wasn't rude and didn't say much. I ordered a number three with fries and a smores blizzard, and the burger came with onion rings on it and barbecue sauce. Delicious. The atmosphere was nice, they had a tv and music playing and you can refill your drinks any time and get your own ketchup in a cup. Seemed clean. Will go here again. read more

Food is too expensive to be cold... Every time I go to Dairy Queen in Ruston my fries always cold... I have to send them back every time...

My son and I ordered a blizzard and banana split. What we got was melted milky messes that didn't in any way resemble what we ordered. Not the 1st time I've been let down by this place, Strike 2. read more

17 minute wait for burger and fries for 2; bathrooms dirty and toilet probably not cleaned for over a week. When asked about food staff had attitude of not caring. Ended up with food poisoning. read more

This is one of my favorite Dairy Queen locations! Friendly staff, great blizzards, and great service! This place (when open bc of covid) is usually a positive and clean atmosphere and one of the places that the bathrooms are actually great! They wear their masks and care about their customers and I don't think I've ever run into an unhappy employee! One of my favorites!! read more
