A must stop for me in Tampa. You get exactly what you ask for here--nothing more, nothing less. We came during the morning when it was a bit busy and were lucky enough to snag a table without a wait. I got my usual--which may be a bit unusual for some--a bacon grilled cheese served with a side of chili. They've got plenty of Tabasco to top off the chili. After seeing all these memes about Waffle House... I was so curious to try. So our first stop, straight from the airport... was here. I AM A FAN. This particular location is small. But for a party of 2, this was a non-issue. Found a table fairly easily. Cheap. Hearty. Delicious. All prices include taxes already. But as the name speaks for itself, their WAFFLES here are really really REALLY good. Too good, we came back 2 more times just to eat some waffles. Food is cooked right behind the counter, using familiar grocery ingredients. The breakfast melt was also really good. Tastes just like how I'd make it at home. Service was great. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service received while dining at this Waffle House. They were busy, but the dissatisfaction came with the horrible service from Angie (server) who really needs training on how to interact with patrons when the restaurant is busy. It started with my waffle order being brought out without syrup. When I asked her about it, her response was "we're extremely busy, but I'll bring it when I can." In the meantime, my waffle is getting cold! Then I realized she forgot to bring my bacon. When I asked about it, I received the same response with attitude. I responded by requesting a newly cooked waffle when the bacon was finished. She didn't bring our drinks until about 15 minutes after being seated and wasn't attentive with refills throughout our dining experience. My waffle finally came after about an hour wait to discover it being served to me on a dirty plate with fragments of grits and other unknown substance. I should have taken the both on the other side of the restaurant but forfeited to a party of five and took a smaller both. However, I continued to observe the server on the other side of the restaurant had about the same amount of customers and handle them very efficiently and mastering customer service. She turned more tables than our server who ran around frantically and delivering excuse after excuse for not meeting the basic customer service standards. The restaurant conditions weren't the best either. There was food and remnants of trash under the tables. The was a partial loaf of bread packaging on the floor leading into the preparation area. Our server never bothered picking it up nor made any efforts to clean tables prior to seating us. She stepped over the unsafe floor debris rather than picking it up. Needless to say, it was a wrap for me! I paid for a portion of my meal and requested a refund for the returned or untouched food. I will dine in again in the future but this young lady will never serve me. I left no tip, so she understands how customer service is directly correlated to monetary dividends. read more

Its a waffle house. Food is always good at all of them. They have kind of a small restaurant. I showed up at 900am on a Sat, didn't expect ti be that busy. We're waiting 15-20 min. But the service at this one was great. It looked like an orchestra here. Everybody in synch here working their ass off! Cooking, cleaning, waiting on customers, and it appeared when one waitress/waiter was busy, someone else would jump in their spot to fill the void. And even though it's busy as hell, with a 15 minute wait, I'm sitting at the counter with my daughter just watching all of this going on. It was like boom boom boom pretty impressive. I gotta tell you, and of course the order was perfect, food was good, hot, and timely. It was a joy to watch. And eat. Nom nom nom. read more

Went there for breakfast with a special family member. The food was just ok. I felt the spoon they put in my coffee cup was not fully clean. There also was a speck in my water glass. I sent back the water, and shortly thereafter I found another spec. The floor was very dirty. Oh and there were a couple of flies that kept circling around. The waffle to me was slightly under-cooked in a couple of places. The sausage was very salty. But the cheesy eggs and grits were very good! I don't feel the check was correct but I didn't want to make a big deal about it. On the positive: The waitress was very pleasant- which is why I put two stars. Overall- I would not recommend this restaurant which is sad because I really wanted to find a good waffle place. read more

My family and I visited this Waffle House for the first time around 11am on a Sunday. It was quite busy with mostly takeout orders and we only waited about 5 minutes to be seated. So I've been to this Waffle House a few times as well as other Waffle House restaurants in recent times. I arrived here at 5:30 AM on a Saturday. It's a 40 seat diner with diner "ambience". All production comes from a small griddle behind the counter, they cook fresh bacon by the order. The dishware and cutlery are all washed by hand in sinks right behind the counter. It's basic, no frills with prices comparable and maybe slightly less than other breakfast places in the area. They now charge $.50 surcharge per egg because of shortages. I ordered." scattered." hashbrowns, two eggs over medium, biscuit and coffee. The coffee was stale and bitter, and I asked for a fresh pot which the wait person then brewed. I specified multiple times that I wanted the hashbrowns cooked CRISP with as little oil as possible and even if they were a little burnt, that would be OK. The plate arrived at my table with the correctly cooked eggs covering the WAY under browned (white) potatoes soggy with oil. I sent it back and the new plate arrived freshly cooked with potatoes not much more brown than what I had originally sent back. Disappointing. The service person was nice. Total cost with tip $15, they incorporate the tax into the advertised price on the menu. read more

Since moving to Wesley Chapel from NY, I have been to this location many times. Food has always been great each time, my go to is the All Star with the Peanut Butter Waffles. Great spot to get a great breakfast for a very economical price. Parking is ample all around the building. Hours are 24 hours, and you can see them prepare your order right in front of you. They also use fresh shell eggs for all eggs orders, not liquid eggs which can contain citric acid and other additives. The bacon are not paper thin, and service is pretty fast. Place is not a 5 star restaurant, and because I am not paying 5 star restaurant prices, I will say this place is a great spot to get some good breakfast. read more

First the wait was nuts Bc the hostess was not assertive n moved like a snail. Then our waitress came quickly got us our drinks which the orange juice was soooo thick I had to send it back and get water. I have been coming to this Waffle house for a long time. I have never been disappointed coming here, the food is always good, the staff is always friendly and they are always quick. It has a consistency that is hard to find at other restaurants excluding fast food. And while some Waffle Houses feel a little bit sketchy I have never felt that away about this one, it's always clean and reliable. (Although I have never come at midnight either). Pretty much everything on the menu is good, with the standout being the hash browns which are fantastic. It's typical fare for a waffle house, I think all of their menu's are the same. The only minor complaint I have is they aren't as cheap as they used to be, but they are still reasonably priced. Some items seem to be more affordable than others (hash browns are insanely cheap, omelettes are a little bit high) but nothing is going to break the budget. If your looking for fast, reliable, reasonably priced breakfast place this place will never let you down. read more

Visiting for the weekend from NJ and stopped in with my friend and daughter for a quick bite. Multiple appetites so variety was key. Was welcomed in the Southern fashion which is always nice to return to. Our waitress was an older woman I think her name was Ann or Angie I completely forgot but very nice. My friend and daughter ordered the Grand Slam or something like that and I'm very basic so 4 eggs & a pecan waffle. Our waitress was very nice in taking the orders but I felt a little uneasy with mine. I think she was trying to save me a few cents which is always nice but a few mumbles under her breathe is what made me uneasy. She took my order and asked me do you want any meat? I replied just the eggs & waffle thanks. Then she started walking away mumbling I just hated people to waste food/money. It was said loud enough for me to hear so I asked is there a better way. Anyway my reason for saying is this, she was very nice but the delivery was wrong. The food for my guests was good according to them. My only issue is the waffles were extremely thin. I'm not s frequent visitor since they're not in my Jersey/New York area but the times I've eaten there it's been thicker (see picture). Overall experience was great and would come again. read more

Haven't been here in a while.. my boyfriend and I decided to come in for a late dinner! I ordered cheese steak melt and my boyfriend ordered the breakfast bowl with a waffle! Our food came out in less than 10 minutes minus the waffle... that we never got. Our server Stacey never came over to ask us how our food was and instead dropped us off our bill with the waffle still on it. We asked them to take it off and she did, but didn't bother to apologize for not bringing it. I give 3 stars because our food was still delicious and it came out fast. My first time going to a Waffle House while waiting for my car to be serviced and I liked it. Chef Gina had her mask on when she started cooking, however by end of preparing our order it was under her chin and she was talking and singing. I asked for a remake please an apologized saying im so sorry I don't wanna be a pain but I'm uncomfortable with that. The waiter Colby told me im being ridiculous and that masks arent necessary and Chef was clearly ticked off I asked for reorder. Calling corproate to report Colby and Gina. 340pm, 11.11.20.
